I believe in Aliens, I mean we can't be the only form of life in the universe.Plus just look at all the sightings of Aliens in the past 60 years.. I don't know what I would've done prob run lol
Sounds like the Anu AKA Spring heeled jack. There would of also been the smell of sulpher(rotten eggs) and the sound it made when it jumped would be kadoosh. Also if a torch was shone onto it's face the eyes would be dense black/non-reflective.
Another name for this creature before the concept of alien was the shug monkey / Kobold. Search for Leaping Grey in youtube and watch the video in green nightvision, I'm sure your sister will say that's it. Aliens have been here before we were. And before God there were Gods.
