@joowonyeo Actually, you can hear some parts (e.g. drums) better when a great amount of the treble is cut off by using earplugs. That is, you can enjoy the show and get closer without being terrorized by the 120db onslaught.

And in case you didn't notice, many musicians (including Corgan) wear earplugs for a good reason: preserving their hearing for many other upcoming shows.
