  • Turtles are mad funny I swear. They be chasing their reflection thinking it's another turtle

  • this worse than spunky and the magical pancake

  • I have a red ear with 3 Jack Dempsey's and they get along just fine

  • thats not a cicilid

  • @heyyitsbrady it is its a jack dempsey cichlid

  • @heyyitsbrady it is its a jack dempsey cichlid or a firemouth

  • poor turtle. take that fish away from him

  • the problem is that the fish could eat the webing on the turlte feet ,giving the turlte no way to swim and staying afloat and could drowned eventually,

  • my fucking tiny ass zebra cichlie killed both of my 8 inch oscars and he was half of a half their size straight out fucked them up they had no fins by the time i got home

  • cichlid of a great varieity can mix with yellow bellied turts and res, but beware that when hungry (and these animals should be kept hungry) the cichlid becomes food

  • Fish only have a three second memory span, so he won't remember what he did to anger the turtle before it rips him to bits.

  • @forensics55 wrong...every thing you just said was wrong.

  • My cichlid does this to my turtle too! I have a map turtle...

  • Somebody in the background was pissing

  • Wow, my turtles would go after that fish the minute they laid eyes on it o.O

  • you can do it turtle bite his fuckin head off!!

  • My turtle would eat that fish

  • lol

  • it's not attacking, it's eating loose skin of the turtle most probably.

  • what a moron the type of fishu have will bug the hell outta that turtle thats a no no remove it and put ina sept tank wow who does that crapa also if it bugs the turtle too much it may eat it and they carry thing the turtle cant eat bad if u want fish it minows or guppies for feeding either way not a good idea and the turtle u have has been known ot reach up to a foot in size meaning 10 gallons of water per inch of turtle so u do the math most are to live in ponds i have raised for 30 years

  • whos pissing in the backround? lmao

  • My Firemouths try to beat up on my Oscars. They never win.

  • Turtles NEED to sunbath. So get a rock or a jar with like a flower pot on it. Its gonna die, my friend learned the hard way.

  • @hollysangel1 what do u mean by sunbath plz reply cuz i have a turtle

  • @iHabbok Ha! he means bask.

  • it seems like the cichlid is picking the shedding skin off your RES which is pretty normal for fish and turtles

  • cichlids are always trying to pick fights. That one was lucky that your turtle didn't turn around and try to eat it 8D

  • i had a firemouth cichlid and it was killing all my other fish so we fed him to my brothers red slider and he gobeled him up

  • LOL... chichlid = RES food!

  • So an animal living with the RES wont die of the turtle's bacteria? And that fish looks like its cleaning the turtle, Cichlid + RES = Not Fail

  • take the chichlid out

  • Umm u know the turtle has saminila -a toxin which animals and humans can die from right..

  • You do know not ever turtle carrys it. Its rarely been the case tbh.

  • dude its salmonella

sorry if i offended you but i just want to make people understand :D

  • @man14235

    Kingdom: Bacteria<--

    Class: Gamma Proteobacteria

    Order: Enterobacteriales

    Family: Enterobacteriaceae

    Genus: Salmonella<--

It is not a Toxin it is a Bacteria that produces a toxin. ALL Herps can carry it, no real threat unless you have small kids, an immune deficiency, or fail to keep up hygiene for you and your Herp.

I keep many Heprs and have never had Salmonella poisoning, it truly is a matter of knowing what you are dealing with.

But yes they carry it, well done there. =)

  • I like how the turtle is pretending the cichlid doesn't exist.

  • im suprised the turtle didn't lay a can of whoop ass on him

  • I have 6 fish in with my Mississippi Map. Only a few pieces of scenery other than that its fair game. Its been over a year and everyone still gets along... for now

  • hehe my turtle kills any fish 2 inches or less and hes only an inch XD

  • Haha, you wait. I was speaking to someone at my local pet store, and apparently he had his red ear with loads of fish for 2 years. Then he woke up one morning and the turtle ravaged the place =P. So be warned.

  • Firemouth cichlid. They flare their gills and try to bluff, but when you turn your back, wham, they strike. These fish have an amazing personality. Oh, and they are extremely fast. Just wait until that little guy gets two or three times the size he is now,

  • cichlid is just cleaning his turtle companion, just make sure the turtle is well fed and your cichlid will come to no harm

  • if you under feed the turtle THEN itll resort to the cichlid other than that theyre peacful 2gether!!

  • I think the cichlid was just eating the dead skin attached to the turtle. My turtles shred too.

  • its ok to mix them.. but the turtle jus might bite back.. be warned!!!!! peace......

  • The turtle will eat the cichlid, just a warning.

  • Eh, not a good combo, that cichlid is liable to end up eaten in half one day i keep my turtle in her own aquarium seperate from my fish ;)

  • Lol the cichlid is a brave little guy xD

  • Why the hell do you mix them?

    Cichlid + RES = Fail

  • @jay942942 cichlids and turtles mix fine, the cichlics are capable of defending themselves against the turtles so the turtles leave them alone, but they cant actually hurt the turtles

  • @dolittle1992 Really? 8-0 I'm thinking to mix some cichilds with my turtles!

  • @jay942942

Sorry fish lovers. Cichlids and turtles can coexist for years no problem. the aggressiveness, size, and hardiness of cichlids make them perfect tank mates.

  • how far does the light have to to be from the turtle basking area?

  • mine is about 14in

  • whats a good wattage for the lamp?

  • 75W

  • like the sun in nature, use a timer

  • that sand is not good. the turtle can eat it and then you'll have to get it surgically removed

  • what's the substrate you have on the bottom of your tank?

  • it's sand

  • okay cool thanks i like the way it looks!

  • hmm u shuld take those shells out, once the shells desolve its not gud for ur turtles. btw nice vid ;D

  • My Oscars did same to my red ear slider.

In fact they actually took his tail in their mouth and beat him..

  • the fish isn't actually attacking the turtle, it is most likely chewing off small bits of food or bacteria stuck to the turtle. this is actually good for the turtle because it keeps it healthy and hygienic =D

  • Actually, the fish is attacking the turtle, or at least provoking it.

See how it's flaring it's red gills? That's what firemouths do when they are attacking something, not while eating :).

  • lol funny

  • I had to take my cichlid out of the turtle tank just last week because he was doing the SAME THING to the turtle...hummm...I guess they just don't mix!

  • Dude, the fish is probably picking off bits of algae, something that is common on a turtle if you gave it proper heating, water, and light.

  • Nope, that fish is flaring up and charging at him. He is attacking.

  • im not surprised at all... why do people mix fish and turtles... turtles eat fish ffs!!!

  • HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT........

  • damn if those were my turtles that the chichild was trying to eat, that fish would be turtle crap by now

  • lol funny the way you said it

  • ha ha if that was my turtle he would eat him in a sec.......

  • that turtle could've ripped the firemouths head off anytime he liked. even a baby turtle can take on a firemouth. there tough little guys :)

  • That turtle needs to put the smack down on that bitch fish!

  • I laughed so hard when I read your comment.

  • LOL

  • thats a firemouth cichlid not no flowerhorn

  • Aw how cute !

  • wtf y dosnt the turtle own the flow horn

  • I've seen my smaller turtle eat a fish that size for dinner, if he really was ticked off, really getting annoyed, that fishes head would have been off in one bite.

  • boring
