The main problem with this match?

1. It was on free TV and not a PPV. This should have been saved for Starcade. They lost a lot of money.

2. Why have Karl Malone and Henning in the match? Goldberg kicking out of three legdrops (you don't even see the third) is plenty drama enough. It just made the end confusing. Did they need to imply Hogan was distracted to save face for him?

Hogan and Rodman were going to face Malone and DDP one week after this match, so Malone was there to hype up that match. Hogan more or less got his ass handed to him in this match, so I don't think it was an issue of saving face. Just incorporate Malone so people remember Bash at the Beach on Sunday.
