I just can't support their decicion on the new female vocals. I just don't see why they chose Jody. I understand that she's nice, but there are so many talented belly dancers who are also excellent singers who also have a genuine stage presence. Why did they choose someone with sub par vocal and dance talent? The last girl had it all. I understand that they needed SOMEONE new, but really guys, really?? Her look doesn't match the rest of the band and her voice is piercing.

When airships - particularly the Zeppelin rigids - were first built in flew in the early 1900s, hydrogen was the only lift gas available, helium, was readily available only in the 1920s. It is also cheaper to produce, then Helium - it costs a few cents per cubic meter, Helium cost several dollars per cubic meter, not a minor consideration when you have to fill several gas cells. Hydrogen was relatively safe in airships as long as fundumental safety precautions were closely observed.
steam punk seems more of a goth thing then a punk. 18th century victorain thats just off goths. but I appericate the craetivty. I like seeing new sub culutures out and about. thats all I had to say,

Steampunk is largely derived from literature, from authors like H.G. Wells, and Jules Verne. It later became a mod/fashion movement with people making steampunk computers and such. There's no real "steampunk music" yet, any music that bills itself as Steampunk is really just borrowing from Industrial, Bohemian, and other genres. I'm not saying it's not good, it's not not really "steampunk" yet.
ah cool okay. is it possible to make 'steampunk music' then? maybe with stylised instruments? or is it only ever role play? Well it's certainly interesting anyhow
It's more related to roleplay I guess, but I've never personally encountered steampunk roleplayers, but I'm sure they exist. But I'm not saying there will never be "steampunk" music, just that we're not quite there yet, Abney Park is pretty close though I think.
But anyway, yeah, Kato looks HOT in this video! :P

An airship should use helium, not hydrogen. Hydrogen is highly flammable and doesn't offer significantly more lift than helium.
Helium, on hte other hand, is inflammable. It's actually a flame retardant.
The only reason the Hindenburg was filled with hydrogen was because U.S. trade embargoes against Germany prevented them from acquiring large amounts of helium. America was the only country that produced the stuff in volume.
Which will invariably happen if the skin is damaged. While the hydrogen will only burn in some cases, the helium wont burn in any, so why use hydrogen? Both are readily available these days, and for what it's worth Zeppelin himself seemed to agree that helium was a better lifting gas.

yes, but you do know that the catastrophy was caused by the pilot trying to land to quickly? the only thing that stopped us from continuing hydrogen filled dirgibles was the fact that texas was one of the only helium produces, and thus nazi german could not obtain helium to continue flying airships
Are you really angry? It's ok to not be angry xDD. And yes, Doctor Steel, Kato, and AP can definitely work hand in hand... And the ideas begin to churn O___O

Musically, it sounds more akin to Electronica or Industrial Rock.

The reason the video skips is because there's a ton of unbuffered darkness at the end of the song to make the first parts seem higher quality.
Plus, this band is basically Roxette with a steampunk theme. Not a bad thing at all btw.
