well, how about this, both USA and england sucked in the tournament, they got out in the same round, and the US only lost by one, whereas england lost by three, neither of them won, SPAIN did. My family was really weird in cheering for this tournament, my sister was cheering for germany, my other sister was cheering for south korea

Cont....This competition served a purpose when national teams were the only way to create "superteams", but now we all know that the clubs are the best form of reuniting the best players under one insignia. Instead of a tournament of the different national football associations what about one where the different professional leagues in the world compete against each other? And believe me I totally get. W. C. is an obsolete competition that only serves a huge economic retribution to the crooks that organize it. Why in hell is a professional athlete supposed to feel obligated to risk his livelihood to be part of a "team" that doesn't pay his yearly salary and only hires them every other four years? @scottishsanny I would like to see the Home Championship back I, was too young to really watch it as it ended in 1984 ish. My dad is a scot and all his family, we all give each other a bit of ribbing, but its all friendly. I hope seb sorts it out and we get technology in the game, almost all other sports have it so why not football? It would cut out all the diving cheats too like the ones in Spain v Portugal shamefull.
