  • You will find out who the real All American is and we did.

  • My Dad took me to the Flyers games, Starting in the late 70's. I saw Jimmy Paxson, Jack Zimmerman, and all those guys. Never saw a player like #22 Roosevelt Chapman!!! Thanks for all those childhood memories Velvet !!!!

  • Roosevelt was a very good player

  • he was at the arena on saturday. looked great, what a champ

  • Roosevelt Chapman was my social studies teacher at Belmont H.S. back in the late 90's. Hope he's doing good these days.

  • Thanks for posting this, brings back the good old days. I was at this game. Was with the other winner of this game, the pep band! Man, we were loud.

  • VELVETY SMOOTH!!

  • Hello DaytonFlyersVideo: Do you have a recording of the entire UD-Oklahoma game from the 1984 tournament? I have been searching for years for a copy of that game! I have the LSU, Washington and Georgetown games on tape, but this is the first extended video clip I have seen of the Oklahoma game! Please send me a reply and let me know if you have a recording of the entire game. Thanks!

  • This is great by the way, but man what is up with that 3 point line at the arch?

  • @SFFOOL76. Certain conferences had the 3pt line even before the NCAA officially adopted it in 1986-1987. Only teams with the conferences could use that shot. For instance, if its a nonconference game, you go to the NCAA rule of the 2pt line.

  • @SFFOOL76 Before the NCAA put the standard 3 pointer at the top of the arch, different conferences had different standards. I believe Utah was in the WAC. The WAC must have had the inside the arc 17' 9" line. The ACC had that line as well!

  • Correction... "your dad... is/was a great ball player" :0) ....

  • Your day was a great ball player and friend. He made UD proud and put them on the map. I loved seeing the videos too. I am glad you got to see him play. Donna

  • Your Dad is a friend of mine. I worked at the Arena when he played for the Flyers in the 80s. We've stayed in touch over the years. Things are a bit busy for me at the moment, but I'll be posting more videos of Roosevelt in the future. Did you see the Georgetown video when your Dad got the tip against Patrick Ewing?

  • No I haven't seen that. These are the only videos I have ever seen of him.

  • Thanks Live4MusicNGod. Your note made my day!

  • no problem! you are the first person to ever make it possible for me to see my father play! I just hope you can find more videos of him for me! and he has seen your videos himself he called me and my mother and told us there was video of him on youtube!

  • Hey I just want to say thank you for posting this video! He's my father and of course I'm too young to have ever seen him play! So thank you for givin me the chance!
