  • why are you guys so bad

  • you guys suck balls

  • What were the conditions that day? How good is Ruggles on a 3 feet 10 seconds day?

  • What were the conditions that day?

  • nice vid, jus wonderin if you have the tech to take out the audio and replace it with something else. other than that cool vid

  • damn from what ive been seeing on youtube, bill made this wave go off pretty hard

  • excuse me! but that crap of "surfer turff" is bullshit !! nobody "owns" the ocean!!!! creeps

  • nice is it consistent there

  • wheres 40's in narrganseet right next to monis? hmmmm

  • RUGGLES IS AWESOME....

  • yeah nice of you to mention Dr. Carellas. hes a mad cool dude and my personal doctor i always seem to catch him once hes already out of the water though. :/

  • 40's is still the best spot in Rhode Island. But locals only, so don't ask where it is.

  • nice waves ill be there in a couple days

  • I'm glad you enjoyed the video. May you find good surf. Peace.

  • where's wes laine?

  • I'm sorry, I don't know who that is.

  • he's the guy who's responsible for your spot, and many in r.i., being exposed and crowded!

  • most of the ruggles surfers are dbags anyway..

i moved up here to go to school.. and can surf better than most of the guys ive seen at ruggles and they made it clear that i wasn't welcome at their break- why not just follow some basic etiquette rules like every other good break that is crowded

  • no..ruggles sucks and new england never gets rideable surf. and there are lots of big sharks that eat people every year. so everyone move to california! its never flat, and everyone is cool!

  • well i never heard of shark attacks at ruggles or one of newport beaches, and by the way those waves u see thats nothing they get way bigger then taht

  • Also what kind of board are you riding? The bigger the wave the bigger the board you will need depending on your height and weight. Good shot though thanks

  • My friend, that was so long ago. I can not remember. I'll be 54 next month. I take my hat off to Sid, Biggy, Billy Bolender, The Derrahs', The Steps,Marty Grimes, Dr. Carrellas, and all the other locals that still go out. Fuuny... I still admire these water jocks.

  • DennisKevans, this sort of surfing does take a tun of endurance, The first time I surfed it I was way out of my league. It was huge. I still want to go back and slay that dragon. On big wave holddowns you really have to relax your body and fight the tendency to climb. After its done with you then go for the surface.

  • Ive seen it much bigger than this. Ive seen it break from the far right takeoff and follow through around the point.

  • I actually have been in bigger surf than this at Ruggles. I surfed Newport from 1969-1984. I have never been a very good surfer at all. I just loved trying my best. I surfered Ruggles twice... both times, I thought I was going to die. I made this video of my friends as an excersize in using new editing software. I have 12 hours of source tape.

  • the northeast is where its at these days in hurricane seasonn..yeaaa rugglessssss

  • hell yea

  • northeast surfing rules
