Double pedals really depends on what you want.. Jazz fusion stuff demon drives might have a better 'feel' for someone, but if you are planning on playing 220+ 16th singles for most of a song, you'll want the lighter attack and versatility of the Trick Pro's. Not to say you cant play near the 300's with demon drives, Pro V's are just a class above the Demon drives and dominators if you're playing more kicks than using hands in songs :)..

Hey, I sincerely advise you to try it and get your own conclusions. I had already sold my Pro1V and bought the Demmon. All I can say is that´s no comming back.
How much does it cost to make an insulation like that in a room? If I insulate a room in my house to play the drums will the sound disturb other people in my house?
Its actually hard to answer this question due to the fact I´m in Brazil and the prices vary a lot from one country to another.
On the topic of disturbing your people, depends on the kind of insulation you make and some other factors. The best you can do is to hire an engineer specialized in acoustics and he/she can offer you the best advice in your specific situation. I hope i could be of any help.
Looks to me that he is using the double pedal and doesn't have a drop clutch on his hi-hats, and may be someone who likes to use his hi-hats during a session without having to stop and shut it himself for use of the double pedal.
I dont really have a problem with it, it just seemed more loose than i've normally seen, but whatever you like to play go for it. I was just wondering if there was a reason
Actually I do have another pair of closed hi hats on the top of these ones to be used in some situations; and by the way I could never get used to the drop clutches.
Smooth and fast are characteristics that are defined by only the drummer. For example, I prefer the 9000s over any other pedal on the market. Someone else might like IC's the best. Someone else might even like 5000s.
Personally, the demon drive is a very good pedal, it IS very smooth and fast, don't get me wrong. I just like the 9000s better... :)
I do agree with you because all of these are great instruments made with the highest industry standards. So, it becomes a matter of personal taste. It´s like buying a good Ice cream; some prefer vanilla, others chocolate and so on...
I bought yesterday the Big Foot Double Pedal, and it's awesome but still don't know how to adjust it properly for my needs. In which slot should I insert the pedal (out of the 3 avaible) for speed and power, or what of those each means?, what is the propper height of the footboard for speed without missing power, and most important how can i make that the left pedal being connected to the first one by the bar doesn't move!?
I do not use the longboard but I think the physic principles are the same. The lower the hole, more leverage and power you get but the pedal gets a little heavier. The upper the hole faster you go but you loose a little punch. The middle hole is a mid term. I personally use the higher hole but step on more towards the end of the pedal. Oops,I forgot to mention about the sticks; I used the Vic Firths 5Bs with wood tips. I do like the weight and the sound they produce. Unless I´m playing something very light, this is the combination (heads & sticks) I use the majority of the time.
Hey, thanks for the words. At this recording, I´m using Evans G1s with medium to tight tension on the top and bottom of the Toms. On the Bass drum I´m using Evans EQ3 with no muffling and medium tension. On the Snare drum I´m using Evans Hd Dry on the top with a tight tension and hazy 200 with a little less tension.
How´s your "kinda" helthy life in New York? hahahaha! I´m working since 2005 as the drumset program coordinator at the IBVF ,one of the major drums chools here in Sao Paulo Brazil and playing with some nice gigs as well. Its a great job and yes, much fun! I had met George e this year he moved to London to improove his career. I tried to email him but its kind of hard to get in touch. If you want I can send you his email.
I just played the single pedal version at my local drumshop and I was sold instantly. It's an amazing pedal and rediculously customizable. I bought the double pedal, and even though it cost me $800, it's totally worth it. I can't wait until it arrives!
hes better than you bro, just checked out your vids man. i thought this dude was pretty good and you wer alright. but if this dude is only OK that makes u shit.
No the drums are not Yamahas os GMS. They're Signia Marquis from Premier. On the snares subject, I have some but this one is an Istanbul (yes the cymbal factory from Turkey)14"X6" made out of Bronze B20! Once they commercialize only the shells, I had it made here in Brazil by the Maxter drums.
First of all, thanks for the words! On the hand technique, I am using the rebounds on pressure levels (a la Lawrence Stone). This way it gets really effortless as you said because you make lots of strokes with only one motion! On the feet I use the slide (right foot) and the pivot (left foot). The two techniques for no special rason just because I feel better this way.
Are you two talking about gravity blasts, because I've been trying to teach myself those but I can't get it down. I know the theory and the practice, I just cant do it.
obviously a man that doesnt believe in cleaning his cymbals, but it mellows them out a bit init. :D nice drumming and i looove the sound of your snare mate.
Hahahahhahah! I agree with you man! At least the rides sound better this way. Clean they are too bright! Thanks for the words and the snare is an Istanbul with Maxter hardware.
i have the iron cobra double pedal, and i really dont no what to do, i am thinking of getting these, or getting the axis longboards, how would you say these feel?
Ok, I do love the feel of the Trick Pro 1V The direct transmission pedals(no chain). Bottom line, they-re faster and more precise and show no power leakage. The Trick's Pro 1V also comes with a package of features that will led you to your "customized" pedal. If you hadn't tried these kind of pedal before it will take a while to get used to but its worthwile.
its not "healthy" ( bad vocabulary, sry ) , ur legs should be nearly parallel to the floor....just heard that from much professional drummers. but no critic at ur skill ur good
I disagree wih you in part. Whith the legs parallel to the floor, besides the fact you will be with three points of contact to be ballanced, two on the floor and one at the stool you will also have to raise your feet in order to play with them... With a slightly higher position, you are perfectly ballanced in the stool freeing your legs for better playing possibilities.
zephyrous I guarantee plays alot of heel down and you dont so it shouldnt matter..if you played heel down then yea that would make sence to lower your stool so your ankles arnt so tight.
No it´s not. Actually this is an Istanbul 14X5 shell (I got in their very factory in Turkey)made of B20 Bronze with die cast rims and Maxter(a Brazilian Brand)lugs.
For the first few seconds I was thinking "Just another solo vid". Then you did what sounds/looks like flam taps about 1:10. I haven't seen many other people triple stroke them like that. You had my undivided attention from that point on. VERY NICE PLAYING! I wish I could have heard the bass drums more because when I could hear them they were smokin'! So you didn't say whether you liked the big foots or not....
I am very sorry about the poor sound quality and I did it only with the camera. Be sure will soon post some better worked ones. Regarding the pedal, it is the regular ones.
That was some awesome playing.

On the pedal subject:
I do not use the longboard but I think the physic principles are the same. The lower the hole, more leverage and power you get but the pedal gets a little heavier. i have the iron cobra double pedal, and i really dont no what to do, i am thinking of getting these, or getting the axis longboards, how would you say these feel?
stockman22293 4 years ago 3
Ok, I do love the feel of the Trick Pro 1V The direct transmission pedals(no chain). Bottom line, they-re faster and more precise and show no power leakage. The Trick's Pro 1V also comes with a package of features that will led you to your "customized" pedal. If you hadn't tried these kind of pedal before it will take a while to get used to but its worthwile.
I hope I could be of some help.
Good Luck!

u should get a lower sitting position
zephyrous666 4 years ago
Thanks but, why?
danyelow75 4 years ago
its not "healthy" ( bad vocabulary, sry ) , ur legs should be nearly parallel to the floor....just heard that from much professional drummers. but no critic at ur skill ur good
zephyrous666 4 years ago
Thanks again for your concern and the words.
I disagree wih you in part. Whith the legs parallel to the floor, besides the fact you will be with three points of contact to be ballanced, two on the floor and one at the stool you will also have to raise your feet in order to play with them... With a slightly higher position, you are perfectly ballanced in the stool freeing your legs for better playing possibilities.

zephyrous I guarantee plays alot of heel down and you dont so it shouldnt matter..if you played heel down then yea that would make sence to lower your stool so your ankles arnt so tight.

its not neccesary you need to play how you like and how better to you and not like other saying you to play....

is that a mapex babylonian snare?
boby002 4 years ago

Hi thanks for the words!
I am very sorry about the poor sound quality and I did it only with the camera. Be sure will soon post some better worked ones. Regarding the pedal, it is the regular ones.

Daniel
