  • oh my!

  • cooool!

  • cool!

  • God damn

  • 0:43 yeahhhhh.

  • That dude was amazing. did you hear the triples at the end lol

  • i bought all 3 pads. wow

  • qaa

  • Nano pad's been travelling with me for more than a year, gets endless beatings and works and Dave is a serious fucking musician, who will kick ass on anything he gets his hands on and I am very surprised to see so many envious losers running their mouths here, they can all choke on Dave's dick (and try to find a better value on a pad controller) for all I care.

  • this video convinced me to buy one :)

  • 0:45

  • no ve que vicio

  • lol haha now i really want one

  • This guy will own in Tap Tap :D

  • I bought a nanopad, it was broken when it arrived for sure, a quick fix later with literally no electrical knowledge and its now brilliant, nanopads are awesome in the long run after a short repair, get superior drummer 2.0 and its outstanding

  • @Rhysbob1 how did you repair'em? I have one and 3 of the buttons are no longer working.

  • @Gaia1986 basically, just unstick the plastic backing under the buttons, then stick it back on, needs to make enough space between the contacts so it doesn't stay on, check for videos on youtube, thats where I found out! :)

  • If I buy a NanoPad will I be able to play like him?

  • @djcondra With enough practice, sure.

  • @DieVanGistere3h I was kidding dude. It was meant to be satirical, though admittedly, that wasn't very obvious.

  • Great Finger drumming! This guy makes it look very easy!

  • why you buy drums if you can buy this.

  • damn check that shirt out! i want one

  • Does anyone know which soft synth David uses to produce those drums sounds??

  • @ed1973jfmj it says right in the description... read... Toontrack's Superior Drummer 2.0

  • este we rifa y cabron

  • Well... he's pretty good at fingering.

  • @htsjsz that's what she said....

  • cool

  • WOW

  • That John Bonham-sounding shit he did at the end was "it!"

    Wow.

  • if you can use your fingers to play drum like this......Mannnnn awesome..

  • Genious NanoPad and incredible fingers! Cool!

  • whoohiii

    thats amazing ;)

  • this is why wanking is good

  • The drummer next to him is like...... I wont quit my day job

  • fuggin sick

  • ROFL!

I would like to see him face off a drummer.

Some drummer behind a big look at me drum kit vs him on a chair and a little nano pad sounding way better.

    Gonna be haters.

  • basically there is no excuse for you not to be awesome right now using your keyboard as a controller. that's what i learned from this video anyway.

  • yeahh. well.. I have hair and you don't

  • Fingersynch.

  • i heard these break hella easy

  • @ace101guy Yeah, I broke 1 already. I dropped it with USB cable plugged in and it smashed the USB port inside of it completely.

  • @ace101guy They do.

  • One thing is not said in this video... after all NanoPad got broken

  • Holly crap that was intense was he playing that double kick at the end with just 1 finger!?

  • HOLY SHIT

  • the thing is: he maybe the best finger drummer in the word. but theres a lot of "real" drummer which are so much better, which have more feeling and more musical skill then he! So, who need this guy? its like a banana whos taste like apple... so eat the apple ...

  • @rockrock3090

    He plays real drums too.

This is for playing music that uses drum samples, so you can play it live.

  • @rockrock3090 STOP HATING GIVE THE GUY CREDIT HE DID A GOOD JOB OF COURCE THERE ARE REAL DRUMMERS THAT ARE MORE AWSOME BUT FOR WHAT HE DOES 'IT WORKS FOR HIM.

  • @rockrock3090 are you high?

  • lolazo esta hecho un monstro

  • Zomg . . .!!!! duuude!!

  • God.

  • he's probably really sick on a real drumset.

  • @PhotoGraffable wow troll

  • 0_0

  • boring

  • how much it costs ?

  • @sfn4 USD$ 59.99

  • @sfn4 nanopads go for around $45-$50 really pretty cheap

  • I wonder if he makes the same face when he makes love...

  • This guy's a fucking monster. Everyone else should really just give up hope.

  • Went to school with Dave, he was always about his music. Super talented guy!

  • bangin

  • Its Freakin Awesome!!! Hahahah

  • @drobber96 I still prefer common drums :)

  • i want one.

  • I have a nanopad, and i only can say

    THIS GUY HAS SERIOUS SKILLS!!!

  • @ronnin45 Me, too. 'Serious skills' is an understatement..

  • m audio headphones? FAIL

  • @jakegambino true LOL

  • SICKKKKK!!!!!!!

  • Excellent.

  • awesooome better like a real drummer

  • Holy Shit!!!

  • WTF ... AWESOME

  • I want to play in a band with this guy. Phenomenal!

  • @complexprocess2 he is band :D

  • how do i set the nanopad up with Reason 4.0's Redrum?

I have found this on some review-like website...

"Using the Korg Kontrol Editor software, I went back and reprogrammed it so that Pad 1 would trigger Redrum's Channel 1 sample (C2), Pad 2 would trigger Channel 2 (C#2), and so on."

I Did that but get no sound from it.

its not reason cos my nanokey works with it.

If someone could help a brother out id be really appreciative.

i have no idea bout this stuff at all!

  • Record the nanopad on a subtractor track and see exactly which midi notes are sending out. Then mouse in some midi notes on a redrum track then paste that midi clip on to your subtractor track to see which midi notes are the right ones. Then makes adjustments using the korg editor.

  • thanks for the reply man.

I've just tried opening a subtractor synth but all pads on all (default) scenes produce nothing... even tried clicking that "lock nanoPAD to this device" tab and still nothing.

  • The subtractor note on light should come on if it's getting midi. Set it up with a normal midi keyboard first so you know at least that part is right

  • Also, you may need to change the midi channel the pad is sending out using the editor

  • I see the software/controller desperate-ados have finally co-opted Mr Haynes...answer...NO, you can't play just like him if you buy what they are currently peddling...also, you never will so don't think this piece of gear/soft will make you better, it wont!

  • @MetamorphicRecs You sound really bitter

  • Considering 6 out of 9 units that a group of us bought do not work properly I am bitter too. Korg are not apologetic and insist we return them to USA (I'm in Australia but bought them in USA) rather than a local dealer. Assholes.

  • Wo0o Dude y0Ur sick!!

ive NEVER herd a nanoPAD sound so0 good!! :0

  • @NarrowVannish

A Nano Pad can't sound good or bad. It's just a controller.

It all depends on the samples on the other end.

  • :)

ok then fair enough but your timing is exceptional! im planning to get the nanoPAD neer the end of this month, do you have any recomendations as to what samples to get hold of? i know personal prefrence plays a big part in choosing.

  • @NarrowVannish

If you like acoustic drums, my bet would be BFD I II or III, If you like elektro drums, I'd say N.I synthetic Drums 1 and 2. But then: You can make your own drum palette if you take the time to to keysread/spawn/choke/wtf work required to do a great velocity responsive sampler patch. (A DIY sampled instrument).

PM me for more stuff. :D

  • That sounded like some crazy double bass lol.

  • The Nanopad is great. I love casually dropping a beat on it when I get the feeling!

  • MFer!!! he is quite good...

I need to practice mi espaneesh.

  • Holy ish... that's ridiculous!

I'm thinking of buying one for my scratch live but that would take the whole thing to a new level haha

  • O.O....wow

  • anyone knows where I can find a stand like one he has? can ppl actually buy it?

  • yeh i want one too

  • great man!

  • Incredible!! What would say John Bonham if he could see that.... ;)

  • Haha John Bonham...i think he would be pretty bewildered by this stuff...and to be honest, there really isn't anything as rewarding as smacking a real snare drum...real drums have a dynamic/feel dimension that no electronic pad can ever replicate..

D Haynes has a great feel though, and is able to make those little pads groove like crazy...mad props for that :)

  • John bondham would probably play it and beat it into dust lol..

  • lol damm
