I have a 3d tv and the glasses from the theatre work with it and at the cinema you have to pay extra to buy the glasses, if you bring your old ones in you save money.
When all (or most) movies are available in 3D only, I'll have to stop watching movies altogether. The 3D glasses do NOT work if you are very depenent upon prescription glasses, and if, like me, you are highly myopic with astigmatism, what do you do? I really don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on prescription 3D glasses (which only work on some formats; other formats require a different kind of glasses). Sheeyit. I agree with AssHolePatrol!
Movies are turning shit anyway, which is why I avoid box office and new releases. I might just be an oldfag who likes shitty 80s SFX, but 3D TVs is taking it too far. And anyway, how much funding is there going to be for channels that broadcast 3D?
Why are you complaining about this when there are starving children in Africa? Do you realize that there isn't snow in Africa right now? You should spend less time complaining about shitty trends that have overstayed what little welcome they had to begin with and more time thanking God that its African children suffering instead of you. For goodness sake, THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW ITS CHRISMAS TIME AT ALL!
When I played through Ocarina of Time 3D, I didn't even really use the 3D effects because it irritated my eyes.
Anyways, nice rant. Being that I don't go to the movies often (it was like three months from seeing Harry Potter with Jessica to Three Muskateers with Bryan) if I've bumped into you and Stephen at the movies, then you guys must go a lot.
