this episode was on last night. i just could not stop laughing during this scene. data offers some of the best comic relief on all of television, for sure. really, there should have been a sitcom spin-off after the series ended staring data and worf....roommates in san francisco, maybe? the lolz would have been endless.

I'm in the mental health field and this is the very best depiction of insomnia I have ever seen: Data IS my brain; he won't even sit down, let alone stop "processing files" long enough for me to relax. This scene is actually complementary to Data because Picard at this point sees him as so human that it is awkward for him to have him just standing there, and especially staring. The acting is great, I like it when Picard turns around the second time and sees him agian. Staring at someone while they sleep is kind of funny, something humans would never do, I don't think there is a single culture that would consider it appropriate behavior.
