lol fallout 3 better than fnv? why? in fnv u got everything like in f3 and then some! hardcore mode, no more cup & saucer handgun grip (us gun enthusiasts always disliked that in f3), iron sights, gun mods, more armors, more guns, hunting rifle with actual sights O_O, ammo types (including my personal favorites hand loaded ammo xD), special vats moves, companion wheel, etc. etc. Now u can say in f3 u can have most of that with mods, but thats just not an objective comparison then is it?

@crosseyedmonkee You have to have 17 karma or else he'll only let you choose some (advanced, but not worth passing power armor) weapons. If I'm not mistaken, they're: a rocket launcher, a laser rifle, a super sledge, and a power fist.

I think my game is glitched because I have max strength, power armor and the perk that lets u carry 50 more pounds and I still can't pick anything up, even caps. Even if I drop the heaviest items like my minigun and selling my flamed and bazooka, my weight still won't go down. Isn't regular ammo and caps weightless in this game?

@microvz I enjoyed Fallout 3 just as much as any of the others. It was like a RE4 situation. They made it more actiony and turned it into a closer perspective view (1st or 3rd person), and i enjoyed RE4 as much as the other ones, and the same with Fallout, i do agree that Fallout 3 should of have been a one off thing like RE4 should of been. If i had Fallout 1 or 2 with modern graphics and a new story, new weapons, new NPC's, i would buy it and play it day one no question.

You have to keep in mind that New Vegas is near where the original games started. and in the history of the games... the west seems to have developed faster than the east. During the events of FO3, the New California Republic had already established itself and started expanding.

New Vegas didn't seem that post-apocalyptic because the society was already developing towards stability instead of being like the old west, like other fallout games were.

@AThrashMetalMonster I agree with this guy. I first played fallout 3 since I didn't have a computer growing up. It was far more immersive due to one fact; the game starts at your characters birth. At that point your character had no idea what the outside world looked like, and neither did I. So when they first stepped out of the vault it was like I was stepping out of the vault for the first time.

Also its the best game to play when high.

When a writer writes a sequel to a book that utilizes the previous ones environment with entirely new characters for example, all comparisons that are made are of the content, context and character development. That is the point of a sequel, to draw comparisons/references with a new story line.

@Arzaker its very hard to steal it from Rhombus (i think that's his name), and you have to pass a speech check on the requisitions guy. After that, you'll have to have a high enough repair skill. All in all, the first way is easier.

@Arzaker I always start off with tags on Small guns, Energy Weapons, and Steal. I would steal anything and everything from everyone in a town. I'd sell what i didn't need for things i did. I would give Tycho a Assault Rifle and Combat Shotgun while Ian would have Desert Eagle and a 10mm SMG. I'd also join the Brotherhood ahead of time so i could get the Brotherhood Armor. It is a pretty hard fight. Yes, Ian is a coward but he's our coward. Tycho is legit. If i could i'd post and LP of this game.
