It's called a centrifugal supercharger (Vortech more specifically). They look similar to turbo compressors though.

the vortech superchargers are belt driven instead of exhaust driven. that is the only difference between a turbo and a vortech supercharger

It has forged pistons and a fully upgraded dual feed fuel system; I dont think its going to decintergrate anytime soon - its been boosted for upwards of about 30k and still rips. Thanks for your comment

I wouldn't trade my 95 for anything but its just a 3.0 not a 3.8 SHO. I have been inspired by this and other videos to try and give it some more looks, style and a bit more power. I can imagine its not too hard to do. Thanks for sharing.

SHO Shop (former) Stainless high-flow Y-pipe, 3" stainless catback (stock config.), to (2) Megan Racing stainless straight-through mufflers. It was damn loud and sounded nasty even at idle with the cams! I have since changed those mufflers for quieter (but still straight through) Hooker Max. Flow mufflers; much quieter (but still loud)and sounds nicer in my opinion.

wat did u pay 4 that kit and do they have 1 for the 3.2? my buddy wants to S/C his iv already done a CAI and underdrive pullys. the only problem with the S/C that i see is the ATX trans is kinda week do u no anythin bout this?

I got a good deal on my kit, used. The ATX trans IS weak, esp. when talking about F/I. There is only one shop I am aware of that offers a S/C kit for an ATX SHO. Ford Performance Specialists in GA. The base kits are $4500 and $6000 with supporting fuel/MAF/tuning mods. FPS also offers a "bulletproof" trans-rebuild for the ATX SHO, look them up if interested. A custom turbo kit would be MUCH cheaper & worth the fab effort (remote mount turbos are easy to fab up; relatively speaking)

The s/c bracket/piping was made by SHO Shop which is no more; at least two vendors are making one-off kits now. To run boost you need to upgrade the fuel system/MAF and get some tuning, however this particular SHO has a 3.2 low-comp and should take 20+psi, it was only 6 psi in this vid.
