It doesn't bug me that they destroyed the symbols of the Christian Faith in this film, since it is a piece of fiction. What bugs me is the fact that when the director wanted to have the destruction of the Holy Mosque in Mecca and the holy sites of Jerusalem put in the film, the producers said no because they didn't want to offend Muslims or Jews. However, when he asked about Christ the Redemer and The Vatican, the prodcuers were like "Yeah sure, go ahead".

i agree and it was the kabba in mecca, and i heard nothing about jews, but that the producer was scared of what muslims would do to him if he let Emmrich destroy the kabba. proving once again that muslims halfway across the world have their foot on our necks...

Think about what you are saying BEFORE you say it. Catholicism is as much Christianity as Baptist, Lutheran, or Methodist. Man, look, maybe the 2012 happens, but not in 2012 and not such a bad like that. Maybe some earth move and some tsunamis and earthquake, not so powerfulls like 8.9. But it's already happen!

@rodrigonunesr well, I've calculated that using the events that will alledgedly take place on 12/21/2012 as a factor, I've calculated that these earthquakes are going to get stronger and more devastating as entire tectonic plates destabilize.when 2012 actually does happen, yes, there will be gigantic tsunamis, but not 45,000 feet, Ive calculated more like 7,000ft.

@Chessykatzenz to show the tec tonic plates shifting thats how it starts . thats why people say they feel a bit sick before an earthquake like they feel everything is tilted or moving. then thats when the shakeing starts. plus its a nice dramatic scene in the movie to show loss of hope in the beleif that jesus will come to save people. its a scary thought
