Grew up in south Louisiana. Some of my friends DID talk like that. The Cajuns (aka coonasses) didn't. We had a whole host of different accents. Most of it was closer to Cajun patois than this, though. Also, southern LA is quite different than northern LA in terms of speech patterns/accent. :P
