Naval base in west Virgina >? lol its Nukes, They got these huge fenced in areas of nothing but grass and concrete mounds. It looks alot different on the ground. Also they got these odd rooms in the bunkers and would pull down the blinds on the doors when i walked past them. I still think they got nukes there
What qualifications does this author have to judge what technology is now needed to listen in on Russian Subs or overseas satellites? What Sugar Grove actually does is classified for a reason. What silly speculation. I believe the narrator put it very well, when it comes to the NSA those who know, don't tell. Those who tell, don't know. And I suspect this author is no exception to that rule.

LOL This guy makes me laugh. He has nothing to back up anything yet people jump all over it. Prove that small satellites are used for domestic stuff. All he says is they are. He gives no proof, no information, nothing. For all we know they listen to martians and hes way off. Honestly people, don't jump and maybe' and things like *oh that sounds like its true*. Yeah common sense would think they are for what he says, but where is the proof. Hes blowing smoke for attention and money.
I was there 2001-2004. I kind of miss the place, was a good base. I am surprised this was aired though considering how paranoid some people were there.
This guy is an idiot. I was stationed there in the late 90's to early 2000. They mention that the "elephant cages" were removed since he visited after 9-11. I'm sorry but they were not there when I was there. And technology has changed since he was there in the 70's. You can hear farther with a smaller dish now adays. And if you didn't know, his books have been blacklisted and stuff like that by our government. Get his information right.
Ok, Private...carry on. Get back to cleaning out latrines & peeling potatoes. We understand you think you know what your masters are doing, but we also understand that any idiot dumb enough to enlist is also too dumb to listen to. There are 10-15% of the armed forces smart enough to see they are pawns. You fall in the 80-90% category. Your superiors love you, you are stupid, you never question orders & willfully destroy your country simply because you are told to. Carry on tool.
It primarily was a HF receiver site until the early nineties, back when it was a NAVRADSTA (Naval Radio Station). In 1992 it became a NSGA (Naval Security Group Activity), which is when the role bagan to shift to signals interception.
