The funniest of the funniest, which Serra said was unintentional. At their place in the most remote and desolate house, nothing around, nothing happening ever, day after day. Passage of time is almost meaningless.Jose and Maria never, ever talk. the were Jewish, of course. One day Jose comes to Maria:-Is it Saturday tomorrow? Maria: I think so. Jose :What are we gonna do?
Wonderful film. The only one I watched with pleasure after Tarkovski's.

Mark Peranson always had a flair for the wonderful, funny and lyric. Glad he managed to get it into a film.

@zejde I swear! I used the absolute exact same words during the Q&A at the LA AFI Film Festival in 2008. Only that I use "funny" as last and emphasized. Hilarious actually.
