  • LOL!!

  • wanderfull

  • んだこれ?なににつかうの?

  • this is still not enough airplane to lift my mom

  • The Russian strategic airlift Antonov An-225 Mriya is a phenomenal aircraft, the relative equivalent of a flying VLCC sea-going supertanker. The Antonov An-225 has an MTOW of over 1.3 million lbs -- 650 short tons, over 620,000 kilograms -- amazing anything that massive can overcome the force of Earth gravity flying on a bed of air. Fully loaded, it takes nearly two nautical miles to become airborne -- nearly visual horizon distance on arctan 'flats' for a standing man.

  • Huge Soviet Russia plane!

In Soviet Russia "Mriya" has you!

  • this is chuck norris paper plane he used to play with when he was a kid

  • How come the negro nations never produced any hardware?

  • 6 jet engines!

  • "Its Russian, eh?"

  • @Unknown3674 its Ukraine

  • is this plane bigger than the A380 ?

  • @bechmann82

In some dimensons yes. The a380 is only in the height greater.

Search in wikipedia for an225 then you can find a grafic with the comparison of big planes.

  • @walkbyfeet thank you

  • @walkbyfeet In some dimensons..?? Antonov Mria the biggest =)

  • @bechmann82 no i guess

  • @bechmann82 yep it sure is.

  • @Zmey48 Советский.

  • I'd love to see this thing land in a truck like in the toyota tundra commercial...

  • Cool! I saw it taking off from ontario while flying an archer, its cool to see them in the air from the air!

  • this plane looks stupid. like something a child would draw.

  • this plane is so ugly!!!

  • Тъкива самолети са ни нужни да пренасяме мозък до америка

  • like a mo'fuckin BOSS

  • Its big for one reason well cause its fucking cool just Like a fat ass is fucking great .

  • this plane defies the laws of physics !!!!

  • giant

  • a10 warthog meets 747 :|

  • Был украинский во время советского союза , но сейчяс , когда его нету , можно сказать что был построен в росии

  • Transport plane...? Wtf does that thing transport planets?

  • In Russia you do not fly planes, planes fly you.

  • This is not the only one in the world, I've got one in my bedroom.

  • why everything so big in russia

  • Just imagine, the spuce goose has an even bigger wingspan!

  • nice fianlly china buys something from other coutry!!! no made in china!!! don't get me wrong i'm chinese

  • Nice. If your country needs emergency supplies after a natural disaster, that thing can't probably land in any of your airports...

What the heck would they use this flying whale for?

  • @SomeoneCommenting

If you need fast a laser welding plant in china and the plant is made in germany, then this is the right thing. :-)

  • @SomeoneCommenting Not true. With max payload it can take off form a 11000ft rwy. It can land on a much shorter rwy.

  • @SomeoneCommenting it is used to transport the space shuttle

  • @SomeoneCommenting Why would you need a cargo van when there's cars. Two reasons... Size and Tonnage. Use your brain.

  • @SomeoneCommenting If there are no free airports for this plane, it can land on the grass, just need a big field)

  • @SomeoneCommenting It's used for cargo. The smaller Antonov 124's are actually capable of landing on untreated grass, but it still has to be pretty darn flat. Basically, no large plane can be used for what you are suggesting...

  • @SomeoneCommenting you could air drop the supplies

  • @SomeoneCommenting

An-225 - minimum 950 meters needed to takeoff

    2500 meters - with «Buran»

Boeing 747 - needed 3320 meters needed to takeoff

  • @SomeoneCommenting Say that after they Land in JFK, Heathrow, or DeGalue. Full Battalion strong. Knocking on your front door.

  • @SomeoneCommenting I've seen it in action carry Military supplies, it was in Alaska when I was station up there it was delivering a mobile ATC to Hati. Pretty big sucker

  • russians build EVERYTHING bigger than it needs to be

  • The cockpit is still at cruising altitude.

  • HOW'D YOU GET FOOTAGE OF THE ONLY ANTOV IN USE ??? WHERE IS IT I PAY TO SEE IT

  • @RobloxianTHTROL

Can you please ask the question more precisely. I do not understand exactly what you mean.

  • @walkbyfeet its okay i can decipher retard. he means whered did you film it and he is so excited he'd pay to see it

  • @RobloxianTHTROL

Oh Well, now I see clear. Only one thing is not very clearly. You want to pay for other videos, or live to see it? Videos from the launch and landing, you will also find in my channel.

  • wow guess the pilot of that thing has more than just balls

  • 2012 !!!

  • fuck that thing is huge.

  • Monster plane but rather outdated technology.

  • I saw the 225 at Aerospace America in Oklahoma City, it having flown here with 2 Su-27 fighters and a Su-26x Aerobat inside. The fighters did an amazing maneuver known as "The Cobra"... incredible! Two time World Aerobatic champ Tom Jones did his wild act in the aerobat, which I caught on Saturday and met him and shook his hand afterward. On Sunday afternoon he had a horrible crash, grounding this great but troubled plane. A fallen American hero.

  • But does it blend?

  • land this a Lukla and we will talk.

  • i love Miyra's new paintjob.

  • That thing is massive! Are you sure it can fly? lol jk

  • The H1 Hercules (Spruce Goose) does have a little longer wing span but is sinificantly shorter and smaller in every other way, so cannot be considered bigger.

  • @TJAevarr

Spruce Goose has a wider wingspan but the AN-225's are physically longer due to the swept angle.

  • This is! the largest airplane ever built, about 82m (269ft) long and a 84m (275ft) wing span. It was designed out of the Antonov AN-124 with a longer fuselage and a an extended center wing box section to add the 2 extra engines. It was meant to carry the russian Space shuttle which is why it has a twin tail. And yes it may have been designed and built in the old Soviet Union but it is definitely Ukrainian.

  • made in Russia! :)

  • @xSimpleh Entirely made in Ukraine actually.

  • @Vasisdas85 but russians claimed it?

  • Plupluc plupluc pra vcs tb com essa língua q eu não entendo porra nenhuma

    2) The plane is colored in yellow and blue, which are the two colours from the ukrainian flag.

I think thats enough for intelegent people to realize that this plane is nobody elses, but ukrainian.

  • @fredeWoW1

    Why? Deshaking?

  • @fredeWoW1 nope - not at all - it was built for carrying the Russian's version of the space shuttle called the Buran Orbiter. It was originally a plane like the A380 but had to get an extra rudder, 2 engines and a longer fusilage. - All real!

  • @fredeWoW1 он не знает просто самолеты и все!

  • @fredeWoW1 its not my friend, its a real Ukrainian cargo plane

  • @fredeWoW1 are u stupid?

  • @fredeWoW1 no it' really that big iv seen it for myself

  • Its not the biggest transport plane though i Think there is a bigger one. Cool video though.

  • Its not the biggest transport plane though.

  • now that the buran is no longer in service what sort of Russian logistics require such sort of heavy transporters? Soyuz?

  • For mother russia!

  • @platinum243125

You both are right. WikiPedia says

"Antonov Aeronautical Scientific / Technical Complex), a Ukrainian, former Soviet, producer of airplanes and buses from Kiev."

  • @platinum243125 For mother Ukraine
