@Artaxeus Yes he did... he directed the money to the V-1 and V-2 project instead of theese magnificent jet-planes.... Think, if Hitler could have used these planes alot earlier in the war, im sure it could have change it....
The ME 262 was an amazing feat of German engineering.
However, the ME 262 had unreliable jet engines that would at best had a life expectancy of just 27 hours!
The Germans should have mass produced Panzer IVs and FW190s instead of diverting money and resources into so-called 'wonder weapons.' Don't need those to win a war. Just decent average weapons and a LOT of 'em.
Had the Germans built masses of U-boats instead of 'pocket battleships' they would have won the Battle of the Atlantic
@AudieHolland Well the Red Army and the Allies were closing in on Berlin by this time. A "wunderwaffe" truly could have reversed this though, i mean, just look at the Mp44!
Instead of massproducing medium quality machines, they wasted time and resources on Panther gearboxes that were built to last years when any tank's life would be measured in days, weeks or months at best. At least, the German engineers could boast that the gearbox would still be working after the rest of the tank had been blown off.
@AudieHolland haha and knowing the Germans, they could still have launched a perfectly good counter attack into France with those gearboxes! Just kidding :-)
@MrSpiderNETZ Well yeah i'm sure you would of been to, they have never EVER seen a jet aircraft before and they are in a bomber, they are very helpless, the thing was 150 mph Faster than their escorts, anyone in there position would shit bricks if that happened
There's no question that the Germans had talented aircraft designers. However, since they enjoyed success with their twin-engine bombers in their assistance to Franco during the Spanish Civil War in 1939, they may not have seen the need to develop larger, 4-engine bombers, which could carry heavier bomb loads and absorb more battle damage than their twin-engine counterparts.
The ME 262 was 90-100 MPH faster than the P51 under ideal conditions. Under actual conditions, given the limited life of ME 262 engines, the actual speed difference was closer to 50 MPH than 100 MPH. The top-scoring 8th Air Force fighter group, the 357th shot down 18 ME 262's and only lost one P51 to an ME 262. Other top scoring FG's had similar luck killing the 262:
the 339th with 14 kills, the 55th also with 14 kills, the 78th with 11 kills and 6 more probables, & all are air-to-air kills.
@coltperc your do know the me262 was built to take care of bombers not fighters? , the dornier volksjager was built to take care of fighter planes, but it was not built fast enough to really get into the war, one of the volksjager,s that got into air had confirmed 10 kills , it was p51,s and spitfires it had shot down, sooo, it was one of the reasons the me 262 did not do well, and the person who made them dogfight fighters where to stupid to see it could not be used well to that task.
@gunnerthedenmark Yes. The ME 262 was a bomber interceptor, its pilots under orders to evade fighter escorts and attack bombers. A troublesome order for ME 262 pilots, as the P51 escort fighters were going to engage them as they ran attacks on bomber formations.
You mean the HE 162 Volksjager, correct? Small jet fighter, wood build, intended to be flown by Hitler Youth? Slower than the 262, but better climb rate.
Inexperienced pilots & lite build = the HE 162 an easier kill than 262's.
When I study the thought and detail and strategy that went into the B17's and the 8th Air Force, I pity the Germans (if that's even possible in WWII). Can you imagine if you were a German and knew how much US brain power, industrial might, and determination was being mustered against you, in a sustained manner, for years leading up to D-Day? If you knew, even a German would be insane by June 6, 1944.
@joelSanFrancisco pfff xD the only reason Germany lost the war was because Hitler was foolish enough to invade Russia, and make som huge mistakes there
@Draious Fool, that is not the *only* reason Germany lost the war. Once the US decides to point its industrial might, its technical innovation, and its very determined manpower at a "problem country" like nazi Germany in WWII, or recently Iraq and Afghanistan, there is no way to stop us. Behave yourself and everything will be fine. But if you become a problem country in the world, we will have to spank you.
@joelSanFrancisco Hahaha! You lost vietnam and you've lost this war! Besides you fail to counter-argument my argument, only by spitting out more bullshit american propaganda. If Germany haven't invaded Russia, they would have won the war. But you know way to little about world war two to understand that
@Draious il say your right in this one, us industrial might my ass. germany was better in all points, usa was not so advanced, pfft, using gasoline in tanks, what where they thinking, its why the sherman tank was known as the oil lamp, one hit and burst to flames, no if germany had not invaded rusia at that time atleast they would have won, even usaa would not have been able to beat them then, usa did well, but they would not have done well enough if germany had used all power on them.
@Draious - Nazi Germany had to invade the Soviet Union in order to gain control of the vital oil fields in the Caucasus in order to have enough fuel to run their military, (which they didn't), and the massive farmlands and food of the Ukraine, so they could feed their armies, (which they couldn't). Nazi Germany never had the industrial capacity to sustain and win WWII. They didn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of winning WWII.
@JohnQuincyAdams1 Sorry but you are totally wrong. If Germany haven't invaded Russia, they wouldn't have needed the extra fuel or grain. They were already getting it from the Soviets through trade.
If Germany had stopped at France, they could have controlled the entire mid and western Europe and even made peace with the French and English after some years.
@Draious - Adolf Hitler's evil goals were far greater than just conquering a portion of Europe and for that he needed far more fuel and food to supply Nazi Germany's armies.
@Draious - Really? Documented historical facts don't support your position and neither do Hitler's own words. Hitler wanted world domination and to kill every single Jewish person anywhere in the world. He was an incredibly evil, racist, demented mad man.
@JohnQuincyAdams1 Sure he was, and he was also the reason why Germany lost the war, I've said that many times by now. But Stalin was way worse, even Mao is worse than Hitler, but no one ever talks about them
@Draious - The reason Nazi Germany lost WWII is because they never had the industrial capacity to sustain and win WWII. It was insanity. Plenty of people talk of the murderous dictators Stalin and Mao.
@joelSanFrancisco Technical innovation? did you not see the this video, the me262 was 150 miles an hour faster than your planes at the time. Who were more advanced?, Germany by a mile.
@Draious ...there are a lot of reasons Germany lost. Bombing British cities instead of airfields and radar, not invading Britain after Dunkirk...there is a big list of blunders. Letting an egomaniac be in charge of major war plans is a big mistake unless the guy is Ghengis Khan or Alexander the Great. Invading Russaia only postponed the inevitable. If the US had not entered the war , then by 1950 everyone in western Europe would have had to start to speak Russian like they did in Eastern Europe.
@mapache11 Russia would not have invaded Germany / West europe if Germany had just held the line at warsaw, and instead focused on occupying west europe. Hell they might even have shown the rest of the world that the REAL enemy is Russia, not Germany, and negotiate a peace with England and France, thus remaining the Third Reich
@mapache11 And you underestimate that power, skill and force of the Germans. They would have been able to defende against the Russians, and might even have had help from the UK, plus Japan could engage Russia from the east
Me-262 was a truly amazing aircraft. considering just what they had to work with they managed to put together the first operational Jet interceptor. If Hitler had listened to his generals and allowed them to be made as fighters and not insisting they were 90% as Bombers the War would have gone one hell of a lot longer and with maybe a different outcome.
@ThePendrag0n ..,It would have made little difference since the 004 Jumo jet engines would have been unreliable in any Me 262 variant. Pumping unrestricted investments into immature technological R&D can certainly improve the pace of progress, but cannot guarantee the solution of all problems inherent in new technology. The story of jet engine development in Germany during WWII is a classical example of premature introduction of immature technology into operational use.
@GordonFreeman95 not really. The german He-177 the only german long range bomber to see operational service was not very good and showcased the inability of german industry to produce heavy bombers .
No link required. Watch the 1944 William Wyler about the Memphis Belle bomber. "Memphis Belle: A Story of a Flying Fortress." Nowhere in that film footage did they encounter an Me262. The original 16mm film was silent, with all of the talking added by actors later.
Good call Five, I have that movie, it is available on Amazon Mcree.
The Belle had long departed European skies by the time the Me-262 came on the scene. My dad was a B17 pilot in 44-45, he saw only one 262 in 35 missions, a butt load of 109's, 190's 110's, 210's, and Ju88's tho. But the P51's kept most of those busy.
I can imagine the first few encounters with the German jet sounded alot like this tho...
I do agree to some extend if the Germans focus on Me262 production on intercepting bombers they could actually stop or atleast contest the skies from bombing.. After all its their industry and resources is that those bombers are after.. So by stoping the bombing.. German industry can actually produce more without being stress from bombing.
Also Jet bombers would be useful as having long distant bomber that can reach the Ural mountain to cripple russian industry might can stop the soviet attacks
Not exactly.. is a balance of both. city bombing is just regular bombing.. then there is strategic bombing which is to bomb specific targets like factories, power plants, oil plants, transport networks.
The Germans were far more advanced than the Americans. It was German scientists that developed atomic energy for bombs and rockets for American space race. Search project "paperclip".
I had the documentary of "Memphis Bell: Story of a Flying Fortress" and for some reason, this footage looks a lot like it, with the ME-262 footage spliced into it. The documentary dealt with the Bell's 25th mission and I don't recall them encountering 262s. Could someone verify if I'm wrong or not? I don't think I am. Thanx.
Many of the Aces of WW2 and even spain 1937 were lesser by the time the 262 was in combat Yes the were good for attacking bombers but lacked Numbers to stop the bombers The 262 was a boom and zoom jet Had it been used in the battle of britan in 1940 it would of changed the war for sure This jet was used wrong for the role that was needed as a offence fighter instead of a defence jet Numbers and time beat this plane
Adolf Galland, one of the first pilots to fly a ME 262 is reported to have said after his first flight in the aircraft that it was "like being pushed by an angel." :-)
@alexluftwaffe Surprise your wrong again and watch on Youtube "Tuskeegee Airman Defeats Nazi Jets". Thats right Barfschutzen one African America Pilotn shot down three ME-262'S all by himself in 40 minutes. Dont forget to Barchscutzen and this one, " WWII P-51 Ace Clayton Gross on downing an ME-262 ". These ME-262'S were not shot down taking off + watch USA Air Superiority in action. U krauts are such losers its pathetic and the end result was the USAAF cruhed the Luftwwaffe into little pieces.
@LottoWinner999 Yeah, whatever. I know Luftwaffe didn't have the best Marshals so they didn't use their aircraft accordingly to the situations. By the way, my comment above was about the surprise of B-17 pilots seeing those aircraft never seen before. You don't need to make your smart ass comments all the time, if this is what you want, then, there you have it: You know everything and we should celebrate u cause we are all ignorants. All I have to say, my last reply.
@alexluftwaffe Your site appeals to hard core Nazi like Scarfschutzen and just look at the comments he and others make. You to have to realize Nazis must be put in their place and not allowed to gloat over dead who fought and died for freedoom and to liberate Europe from a Nazi madam bent on genocide. All my comments were true and I am not kind to Nazis because they fought for genocide and murder in the most heinous cruel sadsitil society the world has ever expereinced Nazi Germany.
@alexluftwaffe Oh I can imagine the expereince wow look at that, gee what a gonna do? Than the sargent of flight crew said were going to destroy Nazi Bastards fuel supply and the destroy their planes on the ground. When they found out ME-262 Jet engines had to be replaced every ten hours cuz engines lacked precious metals that can take the heat the M-262 was a failure. U Krauts are lucku U surrendered in May because if could have fought till Ausgust U would have been Nuked at Berlin & Essen
@alexluftwaffe Gee I wonder Berliners in the suburbs said when they watched USAAF 1000 Bombers Raids turn Berlin into rubble and Dresden into ashes. If I was a German I would think God was punishing me and my country for their horrible acts of genocide and its proven fact that in the end of all wars that wicked are killed and guilty punished but I cannot think of sane reason why Germany let Hitler turn their people into a nation of Serial Murderers?
The audio of them talking about the ME262 seems to be different quality than the earlier audio....Is that actual audio or was it added to the film for effect?? anyone know?
For starters, this Me262 encounter is a fake made for some TV show. The Me262 footage is a mix wartime film and new replica flight with additional fake audio added. So, yes it's different.
Most of the combat footage is from the William Wyler war documentary on the B-17 Memphis Belle. The film used for this original 1944 documentary was silent, with the radio chatter added by actors during film production.
@FiveCentsPlease i see, that's kind of a bummer, but thanks for the info none the less. Would you know where I could find any real audio of WWII air combat?
I am sure there are some authentic WWII combat recordings out there, so you will have to look. Check for BBC war broadcasts, too. Oftentimes, I find that the audio has been dubbed (especially with aircraft seen in war documentaries where the sound doesn't match the aircraft.)
If that fucking Hitler would have seen the fighter potential and not the bomber potential of the ME-262 the war could' ve ended much much much muuuuch later
"What the hell was that it went by like we were standing still!" That pilot in the ME 262 must have felt like a god. He could not be touched by anyone.
Because Adolf Hitler has recognised the potential of this weapon too late, unfortunately, this "miracle weapon" came - or thank God - too late for the Germans... warbirds-power.de
Scharfschutzen1, Initially this was true - but as the war progressed the P-51 in particular was able to kill the 262 by increasing the lead of their fire. Having said that - it was an amazing aircraft for its day.
with a few dozen squadrons of Me 262 in 1943, the Luftwaffe would have turned the tides of the airwar over Germany. The would have decimated the 8th Air force and the RAF as well.
@chloe7829 Rushing production into 1943' would not have made any difference. Pumping unrestricted investments into immature technological R&D can certainly improve the pace of progress, but cannot guarantee the solution of all problems inherent in new technology. The story of jet engine development in Germany during WWII is a classical example of premature introduction of immature technology into operational use. Lack of the required chrome, nickel, cobalt and molybdenum meant poor jet engine
My father was a pilot of a B-17 in the spring of 1944 out of Horham England. D-Day was his 15th bombing mission. He bombed Berlin twice. Most of his worry was flak at that point in the war. On one mission a 262 was seen by another crew. If the Germans had had more of them I might not be here. You have to be impressed by the technology of the Germans. They were far ahead of the allies. But fortunately they squandered their advantages so many times.
The waist majority of these planes was made and used as bomber shooters. About 1,200 were delivered to the Luftwaffe although many more were made, Less than 200 planes could be kept operational. It was more often destroyed by design faults than enemy fire. The plane was a tactical failure mainly because of its notorious unreaible engines. This coupled with pilot shortage, fuel shortage and the enemy air superiority caused the Me-262 to be only an interesting side note to WWII.
surely a masterpiece.. i think they were hard to hit for the b17s, but hitler the dumbass used them as bombers mostly -.-
maybe the americans stole many technologies and iventions.. but on the other side... better the americans than the soviets!! :)
besides.. if the allies would had better technologies and the germans would had the chance to steal or spy them, they also would have done it.. (sry, bad english ;)
@davidzische ..,the allies had better technologys dude. Ever heard of a strategic airforce and the long range bomber? How about nuclear weapons and a delivery system to go with it like the B-29 bomber? By 1943' the allies had superior radar, superior artillery & tot, proximity fuse? Aircraft carriers anybody? amphibious operations? Airborne operations? The US completely motorized armed forces as opposed to germanys wehrmacht that over 4/5 the of transportation was dependent on horse drawn wagons.
@fluffy1931 herp derp long range bombers herp derp
nothing advanced in fire bombing civilians. German wermacht never developed long range tactical bombers because bombing civilians to shit is ridiculous concept. And never really payed off.
Nuclear wep. - it is easy to develop things when your country is completely undamaged and your fighting 2 armies with the rest of the world helping. Also a lot of luck.
All your airplane bullshit wouldn't even count if Hitler wasn't a complete idiot - me262
@MrAquarius7 keep sniffing glue dude. Germany didn't have a strategic airforce or long range bombers because they couldn't produce long range bombers or escort fighters. The luftwaffe got 'cockblocked' in 1940' during Battle for Britain because it was a tactical airforce.
Never paid off is again your fantasy. "Germany expended over 1/3 of its resources for homeland defense against the USAAF & RAF bombing campaigns 1943-45'".., according to Reichminister of Armaments Albert Speer.
@fluffy1931 check your facts, all air allies had becomes useless in the face of Me262 - or even regular german ices in bfs or me109 - germans had the best aces - simply not enough planes and pilots :/
Aircraft carriers were good against the japanese - and their it ha a tough time. But as i said aircraft carriers wouldn't matter - due to the fact that germany had more powerful aircraft and better equipped army - tigers, maus(theoretically), panthers, panzers IV etc.
@MrAquarius7 you are wrong again. The Me 262 threat was countered by USAAF & RAF by simply exploiting the Me 262's lack of range and weakness during take off and landing due to the reduced speed & lack of acceleration. The USAAF & RAF pilots simply loitered above known jet aerodromes, airfields and destroyed Me 262s either attempting take off or landing. This was tactic was called 'rat catching'.
1Lt.Chuck Yeager USAAF mustang pilot " ..,the first time I saw a jet, I shot it down." gtfoh
the k/d rate for me262 is extreme, also many pilots were young as this was an experimental plane.
but what iu meant by the me262 was that it was already developed - in 1939 - and if Hitler wouldn't have been such a fool to make it a bomber/fighter they would have been in air by that time. If that would be the case Battle of Brtain would be over before it even started - imagine top German aces from start in me262.
@fluffy1931 It was canceled and move because of - as I stated hitlers stupidity - as a model it was ready, however Hitler wanted to extend its weapon carrying capacity and by doing so damage its range. Many details there my friend, it was redone a few times due to Hitler's will. Which proved to be terrible, as in many cases. Just like with the MP-44, similar story.
have a read ht tp:// 66.103.5.81 /aircraft/day/me262_text.html
@fluffy1931 Also me262 had developed a radar system which wouldn't allow bombers or squadrons to hide in the clouds. This would render tactical bombing impossible - simply due to the speed and ability of the fighter plane.
That all would have happened if Hitler wouldn't have been an idiot. The potential of German Air force was massive- just look at the worlds top aces, all german, ace of aces too. Allies come nowhere near close.
Its funny how US brags about me262 kills, without a single ace.
@MrAquarius7 ..,since when did tactical bombing happen above cloud cover?
Your a joke.
Having the top aces is for 12yr old nazi fagtards to fap to in their mom & dads basement.
Has nothing to do with the superior USAAF & RAF airforces from 1944'-45' over NW europe.
USAAF, .., Chuck Yeager made "ace in a day": he shot down five enemy aircraft in one mission, finishing the war with 11.5 official victories, including one of the first air-to-air victories over a jet fighter Me 262.
@fluffy1931 You mad? again, just because I have a different opinion and put forward legit facts doesn't make me a nazi. Well I guess i was wrong thinking you are somewhat inteligent but - your comment changed my mind. Simply cannot have a normal discussion.
Anyway - bombers would fly at high altitudes and use cloud cover to escape detection by enemy fighters - very common - i am surprised didn;t know that.
Superiority through numbers - we were discussing quality. But yes Allies had superiority.
@fluffy1931 read my comments over - i never said they drop bombs at that altitude. Do you realise how fucked bombers would be if they flew low altitude the entire way to target location? No airplan does that - not even today. Most fighters fly above their fighting range, like me109 did, and swoop down. Bomber flew high and dropped altitude near target and boom. Just saying that if they could they used clouds to hide from fighters, as without radar it was easy to not bee seen.
@fluffy1931 also if allies would have had the top aces- that shit would be thrown in every argument. Also near the end of the war many pilots were very young and inexperienced for the germans. However they still produced the best.
I would like to remind you silly ass that Wermacht did not represent Nazi ideology, two ompletely different organizations. Some soldiers were nazi, however the whole system was not. Ace in a day - lol - you make me laugh, want to know what real aces are? Erich Hartman
@fluffy1931 I love how you try to avoid discussing hings such as fire bombing of random civilian citites like dresden - which was what tacticals pretty much did.
Superiority came in numbers - Quantity has a quality of its own -, however if you deny german air superiority in quality you are simply a fool.
Anyway, this is done, quality was the discussion topic - how German Luftwaffe simply had better aircraft - also keep in mind that during de-nazification US took up many scientists and engineers.
@MrAquarius7 Post-war discussion, popular legends, historical revisionism is your area of expertise not mine.
The US Air Force Historical Division classified until December 1978. In Dresden over 110 factories and 50,000 workers in the city supporting the German war effort at the time of the raid. There were aircraft components factories; a poison gas factory (Chemische Fabrik Goye and Company); an anti-aircraft and field gun factory (Lehman); an optical goods factory (Zeiss Ikon AG); etc,..
@fluffy1931 Again, ignoring what I have stated before, but oh well.
The post war discussions are important as - everything relied on 1 man, Hitler, his faults were the death of Germany.
Look up any legit good sources, that aren't made by Americans, about tactical bombing in WWII - they all simply state that it didn't pay off - suicide missions for pilots - high death tolls for civies - didn't actually decrease germanies ability to fight - as Hitler wouldn't surrender - waste of bombers
@fluffy1931 there is more reasons, but since your just an idiot tlaking about points you feel comfortable about, and ignoring the rest while marking me nazi for some reason I will stop this debate.
You most likely feel the same way about me hehe. Anyway, to make things clear I am not a nazi or w/e I simply enjoy historic debate, anyway i am off, peace, have fun arguing on youtube, hadn't done it in a while, now i remember why ;D
@fluffy1931 oh wow, everything you have said so far is discredited. I guess your just a stupid fuck from america,i stated repeatedly that i am not a nazi, nor i ever said anything that would lead a normal person to believe so. Well the same goes to you
My grandfather was a good grandfather...BLA BLA BLA...oh yeah, i think he shot down a Do-217 as his boat was sunk. Saved by a Catalina, so i guess i owe my sorry white ass to that plane!
for the wwII , germany was the most advance nation in the world. the other nations just copy the advanced tecnology, and many even stole some german scientist
Nice. No, more than nice. This vid captures a moment where an era ends and where people literally for the very first moment see the future coming right at right for them .......
Except that the video is a spliced-together fake. But it makes for nice drama. The B-17 documentary is well-known (with audio added in the US during production) and here someone has edited in extra footage to create an encounter that didn't happen during filming.
The problem with the ME-262 was that it was too fast.
It could only fire off a short burst of cannon before it overshot the bombers and had to turn round again. Pilots did get the hang of it but the war was nearly over by then.
If you were a good pilot, you were virtually invincible in it.
Only way that jet was shot down was taking off or landing or with fresh untrained pilots. Allies could not match it despite the BS propaganda you are led to believe to reduce the embarassment factor. Deutschland Uber Alles.
@fw114 - Recht hast Du!!!!
@fw114 hey assfag. 1945-1989' Cold War ended without a shot and USSR collapsed. No fagtard nazi german technology involved. - now go back and tend your herd of unicorns penis breath.
@fw114 keep sniffing glue dude? No Nazi fag technology had anything to do with computers - Design of Colossus started in March 1943 and the first unit was operational at Bletchley Park in January 1944 Britain during WW2 was already using a forerunner of todays computer known as the Colossus ( the world’s first electronic computer.)
well, i like to know where u guys got your information from..
a quick search on wikipedia :
Konrad Zuse was a German engineer and computer pioneer.
His greatest achievement was the world's first functional program-controlled Turing-complete computer, the Z3, in 1941 (the program was stored on a punched tape).
just check it out ... everything was stolen ! during the war and after it..
so you guys did nothing.. hard to face... but the truth
@fw114 no nazi fag technology used by allies or those responsible for Colossus, Zuse Z-3 was destroyed in 1943' in a bombing raid. nothing was stolen because the Z-3 was pulverized in 1943'. go back to your wikipedia bunker and count herds of unicorns. First operational computer has nothing to do with Colossus.
@Scharfschutzen1 exactly, germans had to assign prop plane squads for cover landings of me262.most of them were strafed, some german pilots rammed their targets due to that high and unfamiliar speed of the plane.it was germanies own fault, they could have started production in 1942,unbelievable how smallminded the fuehrer and his asscrawlers were....rip all pilots, damm the fat nazi politicians
@Barfschutzen1 if you watch "TUSKEGEE BLACK AMERICAN PILOTS DEFEAT NAZI JETS" you will one African-American pilots shoot down three ME-262'S. How did that happen to Germany Master Race? The should call the Germanys the Race of Master Losers. You krauts could no matter what and lose like make laugh, LOL Germany the land of losers!!
@LottoWinner999 Really!!!? :O Albert Einstein was german and his Probably why Yanks got an a-bomb Germans Invented Jets and Rockets too! the leopard II is the best tank in the world and its german! also Santa Claus is a german story! ever heard of Rudolph the reindeer and Rudolph Hess? also German soldiers were superior to American soldiers they recived far more training but Low Population supplies and most men in the east gave US/UK a HUGE Advantage USA:Land of Fat People XD
@Scharfschutzen1 Excuse that please, PC shifted when typing. It means above all others. IDIOT refers to Shito999 a Zion from Arizona, pickle eating big lip Heeb.
@Barfschutzen1 I'm not Jewish + todays Israeli Air Force could easy defeat the German Luftwaffe. Also if Krauts get oult of line again Israel could defeat Germany cuz the goty 200 Nukes + Cruise Missile. U Krauts better be nice or the next war it will be called the German Holcaust. Thats were all Germans shald be wiped from the face the Earth and remember the Jewish Motto "Never Again". Barfschutzen has been Nazi like U are a dime a dozen when are U going to realize that your a loser for life?
@LottoWinner999 the ONLY reason why Israeli army/airforce could defeat the german is because germany isnt allowed to have nukes Invade countrys and have an Army bigger then 800,000 thanks to thr UN they need to ask for Permission to Invade or attack a country unless they wanna fight the whole world Also the Me-262 wasNT a failure only untrained Pilots Also Yankees wernt so smart as Germans search WunderWaffen on google/youtube and tell me one US weapon that isnt based on those.......retard
@jasincl The ME-262 was shit + Krauts lacked precious metals for parts + engine was only good for 10 hours of use. U had no fuel to fly them and there was not one 2 seat trainer to train Kraut Pilots. The ME-262 did not have self sealing fuel tanks and if one bullet hit it, it went up inf flames. It was dog and watch this video on Utube. "Tuskeegee Airman Destroy Nazi Jets." One Tuskeegee Pilot shot down 3 ME-262's in a half in his P-51 Mustang. Germans were stupid + why do U think the lost WW2!
@Scharfschutzen1 Barfachutzen have U been eating shit again? Barfscutzen your such a retard + your go to watch a WW2 movie you get bummed at the end because you still have not realized that Germany lost WW2 + the M-262 was just another German failure. Barfy please read the history book + accept the fact that America crushed the Germans and Japs into total defeat. You lose asshole Barfschutzen.
Where are you getting that one pilot had 3 Me262 victories in this video clip? I watched it. It describes three different encounters: 1) Lt. Earl Lane (1 Me262), 2) F/O Charles Brantley (1 Me262) , and 3) Capt. Roscoe Brown (1 Me262) all on 24-March 1945. It says nothing about a triple-kill with one pilot.
can anyone translate what he says please?

Germans had awesome technology in WWII, but Hitler screwed it -_-
Artaxeus 4 weeks ago
@Artaxeus Yes he did... he directed the money to the V-1 and V-2 project instead of theese magnificent jet-planes.... Think, if Hitler could have used these planes alot earlier in the war, im sure it could have change it....
BASSALINAS 3 weeks ago
@BASSALINAS
Hitler was smart...the V1-V2 saved lives for the soldiers to where if they were in jets it would be iffy.
You can take out an enemy with a rocket vs you sacrificing a jet that could not make it back and lose a soldier
The v1-v2 gave way for NASA and other space exploration and missles today

The ME 262 was an amazing feat of German engineering.
However, the ME 262 had unreliable jet engines that would at best had a life expectancy of just 27 hours!
The Germans should have mass produced Panzer IVs and FW190s instead of diverting money and resources into so-called 'wonder weapons.' Don't need those to win a war. Just decent average weapons and a LOT of 'em.
Had the Germans built masses of U-boats instead of 'pocket battleships' they would have won the Battle of the Atlantic
AudieHolland 2 months ago
@AudieHolland Well the Red Army and the Allies were closing in on Berlin by this time. A "wunderwaffe" truly could have reversed this though, i mean, just look at the Mp44!
TalonMercenary 1 month ago
@TalonMercenary
Ah, the Mp44, now you're talking...
Instead of massproducing medium quality machines, they wasted time and resources on Panther gearboxes that were built to last years when any tank's life would be measured in days, weeks or months at best. At least, the German engineers could boast that the gearbox would still be working after the rest of the tank had been blown off.
AudieHolland 1 month ago
@AudieHolland haha and knowing the Germans, they could still have launched a perfectly good counter attack into France with those gearboxes! Just kidding :-)
TalonMercenary 1 month ago
@MrSpiderNETZ Well yeah i'm sure you would of been to, they have never EVER seen a jet aircraft before and they are in a bomber, they are very helpless, the thing was 150 mph Faster than their escorts, anyone in there position would shit bricks if that happened
porsh24 2 months ago

Other top scoring FG's had similar luck killing the 262:
the 339th with 14 kills, the 55th also with 14 kills, the 78th with 11 kills and 6 more probables, & all are air-to-air kills.
coltperc 5 months ago
@coltperc your do know the me262 was built to take care of bombers not fighters? , the dornier volksjager was built to take care of fighter planes, but it was not built fast enough to really get into the war, one of the volksjager,s that got into air had confirmed 10 kills , it was p51,s and spitfires it had shot down, sooo, it was one of the reasons the me 262 did not do well, and the person who made them dogfight fighters where to stupid to see it could not be used well to that task.
gunnerthedenmark 4 months ago
@gunnerthedenmark Yes. The ME 262 was a bomber interceptor, its pilots under orders to evade fighter escorts and attack bombers. A troublesome order for ME 262 pilots, as the P51 escort fighters were going to engage them as they ran attacks on bomber formations.
You mean the HE 162 Volksjager, correct? Small jet fighter, wood build, intended to be flown by Hitler Youth? Slower than the 262, but better climb rate.
Inexperienced pilots & lite build = the HE 162 an easier kill than 262's.
coltperc 4 months ago
When I study the thought and detail and strategy that went into the B17's and the 8th Air Force, I pity the Germans (if that's even possible in WWII). Can you imagine if you were a German and knew how much US brain power, industrial might, and determination was being mustered against you, in a sustained manner, for years leading up to D-Day? If you knew, even a German would be insane by June 6, 1944.
joelSanFrancisco 6 months ago
@joelSanFrancisco pfff xD the only reason Germany lost the war was because Hitler was foolish enough to invade Russia, and make som huge mistakes there
Draious 5 months ago
@Draious Fool, that is not the *only* reason Germany lost the war. Once the US decides to point its industrial might, its technical innovation, and its very determined manpower at a "problem country" like nazi Germany in WWII, or recently Iraq and Afghanistan, there is no way to stop us. Behave yourself and everything will be fine. But if you become a problem country in the world, we will have to spank you.
joelSanFrancisco 5 months ago
@joelSanFrancisco Hahaha! You lost vietnam and you've lost this war! Besides you fail to counter-argument my argument, only by spitting out more bullshit american propaganda. If Germany haven't invaded Russia, they would have won the war. But you know way to little about world war two to understand that
Draious 5 months ago
@Draious il say your right in this one, us industrial might my ass. germany was better in all points, usa was not so advanced, pfft, using gasoline in tanks, what where they thinking, its why the sherman tank was known as the oil lamp, one hit and burst to flames, no if germany had not invaded rusia at that time atleast they would have won, even usaa would not have been able to beat them then, usa did well, but they would not have done well enough if germany had used all power on them.
gunnerthedenmark 4 months ago
@Draious - Nazi Germany had to invade the Soviet Union in order to gain control of the vital oil fields in the Caucasus in order to have enough fuel to run their military, (which they didn't), and the massive farmlands and food of the Ukraine, so they could feed their armies, (which they couldn't). Nazi Germany never had the industrial capacity to sustain and win WWII. They didn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of winning WWII.
JohnQuincyAdams1 4 months ago
@JohnQuincyAdams1 Sorry but you are totally wrong. If Germany haven't invaded Russia, they wouldn't have needed the extra fuel or grain. They were already getting it from the Soviets through trade.
If Germany had stopped at France, they could have controlled the entire mid and western Europe and even made peace with the French and English after some years.
Draious 4 months ago
@Draious - Adolf Hitler's evil goals were far greater than just conquering a portion of Europe and for that he needed far more fuel and food to supply Nazi Germany's armies.

jimmy27paul 4 months ago
@Draious ...there are a lot of reasons Germany lost. Bombing British cities instead of airfields and radar, not invading Britain after Dunkirk...there is a big list of blunders. Letting an egomaniac be in charge of major war plans is a big mistake unless the guy is Ghengis Khan or Alexander the Great. Invading Russaia only postponed the inevitable. If the US had not entered the war , then by 1950 everyone in western Europe would have had to start to speak Russian like they did in Eastern Europe.
mapache11 4 months ago
@mapache11 Russia would not have invaded Germany / West europe if Germany had just held the line at warsaw, and instead focused on occupying west europe.
ThePendrag0n 6 months ago
@ThePendrag0n ..,It would have made little difference since the 004 Jumo jet engines would have been unreliable in any Me 262 variant. Pumping unrestricted investments into immature technological R&D can certainly improve the pace of progress, but cannot guarantee the solution of all problems inherent in new technology. The story of jet engine development in Germany during WWII is a classical example of premature introduction of immature technology into operational use.

@FiveCentsPlease
GeddyBre 7 months ago
I do agree to some extend if the Germans focus on Me262 production on intercepting bombers they could actually stop or atleast contest the skies from bombing.. After all its their industry and resources is that those bombers are after.. So by stoping the bombing.. German industry can actually produce more without being stress from bombing.
Also Jet bombers would be useful as having long distant bomber that can reach the Ural mountain to cripple russian industry might can stop the soviet attacks

@Jaysun325

One of Hitler's biggest mistakes was not using the Me262 mostly as an interceptor.
The Nazi mindset did not like the ideal of purely defensive weapons as it was viewed as admitting the war was going badly.
They even had early anti aircraft missiles which along with jet interceptors could have stopped the allied bombing campaign in it's tracks.
Oddly enough the Allies' trump card microwave radar which probably won in the war in Europe was mostly defensive.

This coupled with pilot shortage, fuel shortage and the enemy air superiority caused the Me-262 to be only an interesting side note to WWII.

nothing advanced in fire bombing civilians. German wermacht never developed long range tactical bombers because bombing civilians to shit is ridiculous concept. And never really payed off.
Nuclear wep. - it is easy to develop things when your country is completely undamaged and your fighting 2 armies with the rest of the world helping. Also a lot of luck.
All your airplane bullshit wouldn't even count if Hitler wasn't a complete idiot - me262
MrAquarius7 8 months ago
@MrAquarius7 keep sniffing glue dude. Germany didn't have a strategic airforce or long range bombers because they couldn't produce long range bombers or escort fighters. The luftwaffe got 'cockblocked' in 1940' during Battle for Britain because it was a tactical airforce.
Never paid off is again your fantasy. "Germany expended over 1/3 of its resources for homeland defense against the USAAF & RAF bombing campaigns 1943-45'".., according to Reichminister of Armaments Albert Speer.
fluffy1931 8 months ago
@fluffy1931 check your facts, all air allies had becomes useless in the face of Me262 - or even regular german ices in bfs or me109 - germans had the best aces - simply not enough planes and pilots :/
Aircraft carriers were good against the japanese - and their it ha a tough time. But as i said aircraft carriers wouldn't matter - due to the fact that germany had more powerful aircraft and better equipped army - tigers, maus(theoretically), panthers, panzers IV etc.
But Hitlers wasnt bright :/
MrAquarius7 8 months ago
@MrAquarius7 you are wrong again. The Me 262 threat was countered by USAAF & RAF by simply exploiting the Me 262's lack of range and weakness during take off and landing due to the reduced speed & lack of acceleration. The USAAF & RAF pilots simply loitered above known jet aerodromes, airfields and destroyed Me 262s either attempting take off or landing. This was tactic was called 'rat catching'.

@fluffy1931 it's funny how, your completely wrong
the k/d rate for me262 is extreme, also many pilots were young as this was an experimental plane.
but what iu meant by the me262 was that it was already developed - in 1939 - and if Hitler wouldn't have been such a fool to make it a bomber/fighter they would have been in air by that time. If that would be the case Battle of Brtain would be over before it even started - imagine top German aces from start in me262.
MrAquarius7 8 months ago
@MrAquarius7 again complete fantasy. No the Me 262 was not developed in 1939' and didn't even take it's first
test flights until 18 April 1941.
The rest of your rant is rubbish. gtfoh
fluffy1931 8 months ago
@fluffy1931 It was canceled and move because of - as I stated hitlers stupidity - as a model it was ready, however Hitler wanted to extend its weapon carrying capacity and by doing so damage its range. Many details there my friend, it was redone a few times due to Hitler's will. Which proved to be terrible, as in many cases. Just like with the MP-44, similar story.
have a read ht tp:// 66.103.5.81 /aircraft/day/me262_text.html
MrAquarius7 8 months ago
@fluffy1931 Also me262 had developed a radar system which wouldn't allow bombers or squadrons to hide in the clouds. This would render tactical bombing impossible - simply due to the speed and ability of the fighter plane.
That all would have happened if Hitler wouldn't have been an idiot. The potential of German Air force was massive- just look at the worlds top aces, all german, ace of aces too. Allies come nowhere near close.
Its funny how US brags about me262 kills, without a single ace.
MrAquarius7 8 months ago
@MrAquarius7 ..,since when did tactical bombing happen above cloud cover?
Your a joke.
Having the top aces is for 12yr old nazi fagtards to fap to in their mom & dads basement.
Has nothing to do with the superior USAAF & RAF airforces from 1944'-45' over NW europe.
USAAF, .., Chuck Yeager made "ace in a day": he shot down five enemy aircraft in one mission, finishing the war with 11.5 official victories, including one of the first air-to-air victories over a jet fighter Me 262.
fluffy1931 8 months ago
@fluffy1931 You mad? again, just because I have a different opinion and put forward legit facts doesn't make me a nazi. Well I guess i was wrong thinking you are somewhat inteligent but - your comment changed my mind. Simply cannot have a normal discussion.
Anyway - bombers would fly at high altitudes and use cloud cover to escape detection by enemy fighters - very common - i am surprised didn;t know that.
Superiority through numbers - we were discussing quality. But yes Allies had superiority.
MrAquarius7 8 months ago
@MrAquarius7 ..,what part of the definition of tactical bombing , does your brain - not process ' low altitude' below cloud cover?
tactical bombing is different from high altitude strategic bombing in the real world, dude. gtfoh
fluffy1931 8 months ago
@fluffy1931 read my comments over - i never said they drop bombs at that altitude. Do you realise how fucked bombers would be if they flew low altitude the entire way to target location? No airplan does that - not even today. Most fighters fly above their fighting range, like me109 did, and swoop down. Bomber flew high and dropped altitude near target and boom. Just saying that if they could they used clouds to hide from fighters, as without radar it was easy to not bee seen.
MrAquarius7 8 months ago
@fluffy1931 also if allies would have had the top aces- that shit would be thrown in every argument. Also near the end of the war many pilots were very young and inexperienced for the germans. However they still produced the best.
I would like to remind you silly ass that Wermacht did not represent Nazi ideology, two ompletely different organizations. Some soldiers were nazi, however the whole system was not. Ace in a day - lol - you make me laugh, want to know what real aces are? Erich Hartman
MrAquarius7 8 months ago
@fluffy1931 I love how you try to avoid discussing hings such as fire bombing of random civilian citites like dresden - which was what tacticals pretty much did.
Superiority came in numbers - Quantity has a quality of its own -, however if you deny german air superiority in quality you are simply a fool.
Anyway, this is done, quality was the discussion topic - how German Luftwaffe simply had better aircraft - also keep in mind that during de-nazification US took up many scientists and engineers.
MrAquarius7 8 months ago
@MrAquarius7 Post-war discussion, popular legends, historical revisionism is your area of expertise not mine.
The US Air Force Historical Division classified until December 1978. In Dresden over 110 factories and 50,000 workers in the city supporting the German war effort at the time of the raid. There were aircraft components factories; a poison gas factory (Chemische Fabrik Goye and Company); an anti-aircraft and field gun factory (Lehman); an optical goods factory (Zeiss Ikon AG); etc,..

The germans really had the best technics and stuff .. Luftwaffe ( Messerschmitt ) , Reichsarmee ( Waffen SS ) //
But that dumb Hitler used this Jet mostly as a bomber ! ( wtf ? )
It should be a hunting plane ! Then the americans ( the hole world ) would suck balls today ..
But better dumb and dead Hitler then hole World full with Nazis and without Jews ..

Nice. No, more than nice. This vid captures a moment where an era ends and where people literally for the very first moment see the future coming right at right for them .......
Awesome moment frozen in time.

@Efteling4Ever

@Scharfschutzen1 no the Tuskegee Airman had one mission where they shot down like 4 or 5 while still in the air

@Scharfschutzen1 Yes, the 262 was an amazing aircraft for it's time...but Deutshland Uber Alles? Hmmmm....who won, you moron?!?
cybervore 1 year ago
@cybervore
funny, who won.. you guys had simple luck... thats all...
but without germany you wont:
fly in a jet aircarft -> me262
use a computer (first one was from conrad zuse and not intel or whatever)
fly a rocket to the moon ( V2 rocket )
wont drive a car and much more...
the only thing why you guys have such things is, because you took the technology after the end of WW2 from germany to your countrys..
so be happy that germany lost the war!

Wir müssen uns zunächst klar werden, warum die Deutschen sich von der eigenen Regierung so diskriminieren lassen. Zum großen Teil rührt das daher, dass man uns nach dem 2. Weltkrieg umerzogen und gehirngewaschen hat.

@fw114 keep sniffing glue dude? No Nazi fag technology had anything to do with computers - Design of Colossus started in March 1943 and the first unit was operational at Bletchley Park in January 1944 Britain during WW2 was already using a forerunner of todays computer known as the Colossus ( the world’s first electronic computer.)
fluffy1931 1 year ago
@fluffy1931
well, i like to know where u guys got your information from..
a quick search on wikipedia :
Konrad Zuse was a German engineer and computer pioneer.
His greatest achievement was the world's first functional program-controlled Turing-complete computer, the Z3, in 1941 (the program was stored on a punched tape).
just check it out ... everything was stolen ! during the war and after it..
so you guys did nothing.. hard to face... but the truth
fw114 1 year ago

LottoWinner999 1 year ago
@LottoWinner999 ZION, Back to your ghetto and take your schmelts. GIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Scharfschutzen1 1 year ago
@LottoWinner999 the ONLY reason why Israeli army/airforce could defeat the german is because germany isnt allowed to have nukes Invade countrys and have an Army bigger then 800,000 thanks to thr UN they need to ask for Permission to Invade or attack a country unless they wanna fight the whole world Also the Me-262 wasNT a failure only untrained Pilots Also Yankees wernt so smart as Germans search WunderWaffen on google/youtube and tell me one US weapon that isnt based on those.......retard
jasincl 1 year ago
LottoWinner999 1 year ago
