Anyone who doubts this film is desperately wrong. I just saw it on fillmsi.co.cc and it was breathtaking no joke. this is a MUST SEE. i really liked this film! i know it doesn't have the most genius plot or original story but i thought it was highly entertaining and the action scenes were awesome!

This film was incredible. I go to kòòkica at least once or twice a week, and I enjoyed finally seeing a movie that made me think during the film and long after. The stunt work, acting, and special effects were amazing.

ClevverMovies is showing the trailer for this great film yet its obvious what they are trying to do: make people hate it, badmouth it, keep people from watching it, start an internet war about it. its really nasty and wrong of them. thumbs up to show your support for the film, thumbs up if you agree the film is very, very good and a winner and that "ClevverMovies" is very, very bad and a loser.
some are upset saying the film doesn't show the derby world correctly such as how fan-based it is or that it has lesbians. in the film the fan factor is as obvious as can be. it shows lesbians (two girls in hot tube scene. as a lesbian that was obvious). I have friends who play derby and all liked it. Its about our Austin, Texas derby world. Each city has a different scene. Shauna Cross of Austin and derby fame wrote it. It's true that it's not 100% accurate it's not a documentary. It IS fun.
People are questioning whether or not the film shows the Derby World correctly. I think it does though we must remember each derby world in each town or league is unique and also it is NOT a documentary- of course it doesn't show things exactly as they happen as i repeat it is NOT a documentary (there ARE derby documentaries so look for those if you like or make one yourself). "Whip It" is written by Austin, TX derby girl and author (of the book "Derby Girl") Shauna Cross a.k.a. Maggie Mayhem.
@shiningarainbow the moves and plays are mostly realistic, besides the whole "stop all at the same time and block with your elbows thing" cuz that would totally be a penalty for blocking out of play. some of hte girls in the movie are actual derby girls from teams like l.a...? im pretty sure it was l.a. aaaannnnnnnyyywwwaaayyyyss i freakin love this movie

I think I finally get the point of this movie and I think director has pulled one over on us big time. I saw movie at kòòkica first. I've continued reading critic and audience reviews on the web and I noticed that they are great.

Magnificent movie!! It is great project from all the production who worked on it. I think things changed in it..it has not predictable plot, totaly not convincing acting and stupid jokes...it has something totaly different. I won't tell you everything because I will destroy the surprise...so go to kòòkica and see it!

ClevverMovies is showing the trailer for this great film yet its obvious what they are trying to do: make people hate it, badmouth it, keep people from watching it, start an internet war about it. its really nasty and wrong of them. thumbs up to show your support for the film, thumbs up if you agree the film is very, very good and a winner and that "ClevverMovies" is very, very bad and a loser.

some are upset saying the film doesn't show the derby world correctly such as how fan-based it is or that it has lesbians. in the film the fan factor is as obvious as can be. it shows lesbians (two girls in hot tube scene. as a lesbian that was obvious). I have friends who play derby and all liked it. Its about our Austin, Texas derby world. Each city has a different scene. Shauna Cross of Austin and derby fame wrote it. It's true that it's not 100% accurate it's not a documentary. It IS fun.

People are questioning whether or not the film shows the Derby World correctly. I think it does though we must remember each derby world in each town or league is unique and also it is NOT a documentary- of course it doesn't show things exactly as they happen as i repeat it is NOT a documentary (there ARE derby documentaries so look for those if you like or make one yourself). "Whip It" is written by Austin, TX derby girl and author (of the book "Derby Girl") Shauna Cross a.k.a. Maggie Mayhem.

@shiningarainbow the moves and plays are mostly realistic, besides the whole "stop all at the same time and block with your elbows thing" cuz that would totally be a penalty for blocking out of play. some of hte girls in the movie are actual derby girls from teams like l.a...? im pretty sure it was l.a. aaaannnnnnnyyywwwaaayyyyss i freakin love this movie

ClevverTV or ClvverMovies people thanks for the trailer the movie is awesome one of my favorites, Page and everyone else involved are outstanding and make the film very fun, funny, kick-ass with great emotional depth and a unique gem. why stereotype the kid (Page), i don't know where or why you guys came up with the BS-factor. thanks for the trailer now cut the crap please stop the needless hate. tough derby girls are coming to whip it to you if you don't. lol not really but why not just enjoy?

cleaver movies, not so cleaver in this one. This movie was really great, and yeah maybe the character is a little similar to her juno character but it still was a great preformance and and deserved better critics than the ones this movie got.
