I have an acer laptop and when I listen music or see a video on it then it automatically shut-down after a period of about 45 to 60 minutes. Please help me ho can I fix this problem.

I have a question about my Acer Aspire 4735z

my laptop is unable to switch on where when i plug in the adaptor, the LED lights near the power botton are ON. However, when I press the power botton, all the LED lights are OFF as well as unable to power on my laptop. May I have a supportive idea about its problem?

Nice video, I like the music choice. Wow you sure know your way arould a laptop, impressive. That looks like the same older model acer travelmate I bought around 2004. I wish I could still use it as a spare computer but it heats up really bad and shuts itself off. Also it runs so slow its not even funny, I mean like 5 or 6 minutes just to turn it on and boot it up. Is their any way to fix these problems or is it just to far gone? Any suggestions or advice would be awesome, thanks AxeliMachal

@sirjohnrambo : Hello my friend, it´s my pleasure that u like this video, i am the one who´s repairing ... maybe u can clean up the cpu and everything what´s covered by heatpipes...and put some thermal paste on it...with silver in the best case.....and clean up the cooler of course..vacuumcleaner can do this really well..i believe it will help u to solve your problem with overheating and falls...Martin N.

@CH4NDL3R23 thanks buddy that seemed to help alot. I can't belive how much dust and shit was jammed in the fan alone. I did a full system restore after taking it apart and cleaning it, its much better now and no longer over heats....thanks again for the help

I have to dismantle the 4710 laptop screen, the issue is the Wifi Antenna more then anything, it's going over and under the battery location and connecting to the WiFi card so three connectors come apart and then the screen has a webcam you do not want to damage either. I suspect the repair needed is an inverter for mine. I did not enjoy the process. but the keyboard was the most perplexing to figure out because the tabs it uses for screwless application are not readily apparent at glance!

how can i remove the dvd drive? I have an Acer Travelmate 2300 which is similar to this on video. I try to remove the drive but it is tough. Is there any screws I need to remove?

@kostasfxr for the Acer 4710, easy. There's a simple adapter for most thin model ROM drives, they have to mate to a proprietary interface via that method

@rya11223366 Buy a replacement USB double socket off eBay, take out the MB and desolder the broken one with flux and copper braid (or take it out by melting the solder with a heating gun). I used a solder sucker and it went ok. Refer to a professional if you're unsure. Acers have both single and double USB sockets depending on model, but they are both available commercially. Good luck.

I took mine apart to put some heat sync on the CPU and when I put it back together I couldn't get it to power on, its getting power but won' power up. Any ideas?

every time i removed the cover or sometime i only removed the start up button cover n the green chip at the start button it will auto-off

which mean it will only on for 1 second / less

My daughter has an acer that had a power cord issue, my son in law was supposed to just go get a replacement he ended up at an electronic store that gave him the idea that for 6.00 he can buy an end and then splice into said end, well son in law is dee and four hours later laptop dead, It will fire up with the battery from my acer same model, and when I plug my charger into it it will attempt to charge then completely drain battery in super speed mode. ny suggestions? Besides buying a mac LOL
