Thanks for these... I am at it seven weeks now... fingerstyle guitarist, which really helps, but this is a great help, enjoying your videos! You sound great..!
I've been learning pedal harp since April 2007. It's coming along slowly, just chipping away at it. It's my first musical instrument since my tuba at school, so I've had to completely relearn everything!
They're the three note ones, where I hit thre notes in a row with my left hand in rapid succession. Or are they called something else..? maybe I got the name mixed up. Could it be an arpeggio? These musical terms confuse me.
Ah I see! Those are called rolled chords. Glisses are when you run your finger(s) up the string in that grand harp fashion. See my Nightingale video at 1:03 for an example. Arpeggios are chords broken up - one note at a time. =) You're learning so fast... rolled chords are hard for a lot of people.
Scottish tune.......sigh

Much better version! Much bigger harp! just try relaxing a bit more. The song is a lament so playing more legato let the tune breath more.

This is a really beautiful tune. How long have you been playing? Is this a pedal harp - it has a lovely tone.

How often do you practice?
dlh975 4 years ago
Ah, rolled chords! Right! I'll edit the descrition in a mo. I try and get an hour of practice done in a day, but usually it's about 5 hours a week.
