  • Wann kommt der Film endlich mal auf DVD oder Blue Ray raus !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Clara's speech at the end is something every girl should live by

  • @FolkandTrad i agree. what happened to the days of women with high self-esteem? i know i could learn a lot from what she said in that speech.

  • "Clara, Claara, Claaaara", I love that part (:

  • so love this movie but love the love story between Paul & Joanne

  • i put the entire film up for all just this morning .. enjoy

  • why do movies today suck ? gems like this just aren't made anymore...

  • This film, "The Long Hot Summer", has to be one of the most sensuous and sexy films ever made, and nary a stitch of clothing was removed by any of the characters. The performances exuded a sense of longing and sexual attraction that simply jumped off of the screen...amazing!!!!!

  • @tamerswan OK take a chill pill!!

  • @tamerswan Just puttin it out there, gosh it is a joke!!

  • The accents are adorable :)

  • You forgot your lunch that you spent $50 on, Paul!!!

  • guys this movie is up on youtube, just type in a long hot summer part 2, part 1 is removed but all other parts are up..

  • @xxxgossipgirl13xxx That's some TV adaptation, right? Not this movie.

  • @strandwolf no it was the movie but I dont know if it was taken down since then...

  • i swear, he is the sexiest thing on 2 legs in this movie.

  • I love this movie so much. And every time I watch it or Tomorrow with Robert Duvall, I am just so proud of my southern heritage.

  • September 30? That's my birthday! I hope that vanilla six-layer cake is my surprise! LOL

  • PLease put up the entire movie.

  • That "Claara! Claara!" bit is probably one of the hottest scenes in movie history :D

  • @MissKilman that...AND the Cat on a Hot Tin Rood scene where he says: "lock the door"

  • @EquineJunkie88 Couldn't agree with you more! :)

  • my mother like this film

  • paul newman and joanne woodwards personal love story makes this movie so much better, if possible. magiccccc

  • I love this film and I love him...

  • i love this FILM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The picnic scene reminds me of Gilmore Girls!

  • i love her grace, passion and determination and the fact that some how she is so articulate even whilst those steely cold blue eyes are boreing into her . I also love how you can see newman's raw determination in this scene, by just watching the way he stares at her.

  • I love this movie. Paul Newman & Joanne Woodward were the Real Deal!

  • This is one of my favorite movies. I love this scene and Paul's blue eyes.

  • some younger stars can actually act beautifully and try to keep their private lives seperate from their professional ones like they did

  • OMGOMGOMGOMG

  • Uh they were living together discreetly before this was filmed and she only got the part because Eva Marie Saint who was originally supposed to play Clara was already pregnant before production started so she was forced out of the film. as was common practice then

  • the last scene is the only scene out of the history of cinematic scenes that makes me simultaneously LOL and swoon. hahahaha ... ahhh. :3

  • ♥♥ This movie! The chemistry shows why they lasted 50 years together ;)

  • Orson Welles was such an underrated actor in my opinion.

  • Paul sizzled in this movie....look at those abs.... he's one fit actor...

  • Wow. You don't see chemistry like this every day, or acting like this. Paul/Joanne are really something.

  • the scene with the basket reminds me of Gilmore Girls :)

  • I look at Paul Newman with his boyish-manly insolence and I lick my chops.

  • She actually says : "I am a human being, it means I set a price on myself. A high, high price." Isn't it profound.

  • what a BEAST

  • yeah and Joanne appears in the film addaptation of that Novel and by the way as she is in the weigning scenes of this she's pregnant through the entire production of Sound & Fury though the first pregnancy during this film ended in miscarriage during their honeymoon where the one during the sound and fury ended with the birth of Nell about 2 weeks after the film opened in NYC

  • Screenplay by American great William Faulkner (THE SOUND AND THE FURY). He wrote a short story called "Barn Burning" about a man who lights fires and runs. Fire is a component of this story, too... I always liked Tony Franciosa who plays Varner's son. If you watch the entire movie, listen carefully to Orson Wells whose southern dialect is sometimes incromprehensible.

  • OMG he is HOT!

  • When I saw thi sabout 30 yes ago, I only knew Newman as a more mature actoe. But when Miss Clara drives her onvertible refusing to lookat his hot tanned body and the insolent loo in his blue eyes, I said damm Joanne no wonder yu went for Paul in a New York minute. Too Hot for words!

  • OOOWIIIiiieeeeeeee..... if he came outside my door at night like that... i'd probably FAINT.

  • he's a sexy beast.

    LMAO.

  • a "doll with no head on it"? what does that mean?

  • i took it to mean that she has that magical combination of rough and tough and femininity. like sweet and salty...her character is so frigid with him, but beneath the surface, she's got a deep flame burning for him. ; ) in other words, she's not a one-note songbird.

  • clara, clara, cla harr har araa!!

  • my my my Mr. Newman....you were such a handsome guy.....

  • Paul Newman or Marlon Brando?

Try to decide who's best if you can,

but I'll simply say my favorite's a "NEW BRAND!"

He's Coolhand Luke + The Godfather II,

He's a real "Double Feature" this actor's "BRAND NEW!"

  • are your rappin?

  • This is such an exquisite scene. It has a lot of meaning for me at this time in my life so thank you very much for posting.

  • I love that movie so much. Could you pleeeaaaase post the other parts of the movie of them together?

  • yeah that part is classic though the whole movie is as is their love affair in general though it wasn't always smooth sailing though in public they made it look as if it were

  • my favorite part, is when they are in the store and paul tells her that the town might feel sorry for her after they get married, but she'll wake up every morning smiling.

  • he was so cool in this movie. just so sexy.

  • One of my favorites! Sizzles!

  • love love love love love. two of my favorite scenes from the movie! thanks a bunch!

  • you should put the whole movie up! i love joanne woodward, shes classy :) and jeez Paul Newman was a looker and what an actor!! need more like these two in todays pictures

  • @ngaruinz im a huge movie buff.. and can tell you this.. THESE types are the hollywood legends of yesteryear .. NEVER to be surpassed OR replaced.. seriously now... the "new hollywood" with its jonny depps, brad pitt, leonardo, tom cruise, jolie, jenny aston, and all the rest could NEVER hold a match to the legends that have come and gone.. IMPOSSIBLE to...thats why its a fact that the old movies and actors/actresses were great.. they were not "personality" based.. they were the REAL DEAL.

  • folks, you can rent the movie if you want to see the whole thing.

  • thanks for this picturefan2009 movies such as this one stand the test of time because of the acting rendered never mind the chemestry between the cast

  • I have this too. Great movie. I love that Joanne's character has class and moral fiber. That is SO not depicted in the movies anymore, or in real life often times. Great post.

  • I love this movie.

  • can you download the whole movie?

  • the short scene about changing your name that takes place on the porch after the barn fire
