I first got the black pants by CAREFULLY balancing the shell on top of the hill ( took 2:30) and then kicking it correctly (took 0:30) then i started playing on a different flash site, and decided it was too hard... thanks for posting this or else it would have taken me more than three hours :D

@PlasmaSlap When you get the shell to the ground below the red platform jump at it as to where you would land on the shell directly from the top. Then you use teh cannon as shown in the video and shoot yourself as far as you can to the left of the screen. Then you grab onto th rope and move to the left a little. You should jump off at an angle just like the one used to get it on the red platform.
