the only reason the tmaxx can have speed is because thier trx engines have billions of revs. if u put same engine in both. savage will come out on top with speed & durability. end of storey..

Personaly, given a choice between a SAVAGE and a T-MAXX, I would choose the SAVAGE as I have found the SAVAGE a more durable truck, plus the big block sound even though they are a little more complicated than the T-MAXX.

I have the T-Maxx 3.3 and the wheelie bar is very helpful, and that is something the savahe doesn't have. Personaly I prefer the T-Maxx 3.3

wrong,the savage x does have a wheelie bar,,you just need to take 2 min to install it.and the 4.6 is much faster if you set the truck up properly.

also, in a drag race, a stock 4.6x or a 5.9xl can beat any stock t-maxx 3.3 in a drag race. as long as the savage is tuned right it can beat a well-tuned t-maxx.

Just keep the engine nice clean and use after-run oil for maintenance. Use comon sense when driveing.
