  • This is among my most favorites!

I enjoy the way it just rolls along flowing constantly as does a river.

    Lovely pair of voices.

  • you got that right glorybra

  • "breathing my name with a sigh"...how hot is that?!?!

  • in one of the pictures April looks q little like a young Stephanie Powers

  • My birthday song! Never heard it before. Nice pair.

  • @jurbn2003 It was a No.# 1 song on the charts during the week when JFK was assassinated.

  • does anyone know who played harmonica on this tune?

  • the man loves the octAVE \range the lady got real sexy voise

  • Love it and remember it when I was 13 in 1963. Hmmm..wonder what they're doing now?

  • @ginnyharrison1103 I was the same age and played in junior high school bank and orchestra, the trumpet. We played it in the orchestra. It sounded good in spite of the fact that we were just learning our instruments. I was first chair at Hamilton Junior High School in Houston, Texas. What a time.

  • This version is ok, but Glenn Miller's is much better.

  • Nice rack on April.

  • @glorybra Disgusting thought, pervert.

  • @slkaiser69 Hey, I learned from the best!! Thanks pervert teacher!!!

BTW, yes, you ARE a disgusting thought.

  • @glorybra Back at you, dickwad

  • @slkaiser69 And right back at you Head Dick!!

  • @slkaiser69 A disgusting thought pervert?!

Man, you have GOT to be gay!!

  • @glorybra Not at all. Just respectful of women. It is something you learn when you mature a little.

  • @slkaiser69 You never said a guy was nice looking?

  • @glorybra Actually I have. I have no problem accepting that some men are stunningly handsome. In fact, I am one such guy, Ha! Take that, Butt wipe. No, seriously, i am not an angry sort and I wish you the best. Honestly.

  • April Stevens=sexy

  • I was a kid when this came out but have always loved it!

  • 1 dislikes! Must be a combination of Scrooge and the Grinch !!!

  • The arrangement, the production, the whole song, to me, sounds as if it could have been released as late as 1970.

  • "....your gone and your love lives on in moon light beams......."

  • geweldig! zou op velvet underground lp kunnen staan!

  • never heard anything close to this they were in a space of their own

  • I'm a big fan of the music of this era, but I'm not sure what to say this song is for genre, it's got some Folk in it, some Rock, some R&B and some Country & Western... it's neat!

  • Szeretem a számaikat, de amit a tv-műsorokban műveltek, hát az kritikán aluli. A hatvanas években bármelyik tanyasi kultúrprogram különb volt, mint amit ezek összehoztak, amikor rámozdultak egy kamerára.

  • Great song!!! And I just found out that they were brother and sister. It almost just seems to me that singing with that kind of emotion belongs only to lovers!!!-----Danny Sordello

  • They don't make music today, like they did yesterday, that's for sure. I could listen to this stuff all day!

  • I think they won a Grammy for this song, which brings back great memories from my college days. April was a babe!!!!!

  • Reminds me of my first day in high school (1963) - so many memories!

  • Loved this song then and love it still now.

  • Her voice reminds me of Marilyn Monroe’s voice – what a lovely woman she is and her brother is HOT

  • Magic! Love them! You don’t hear voices like this today (shame)

  • hi all...i heard on an oldies station...that when this was recorded that april knew the words to the song...but when her brother arrived for the recording...she had to "prompt " him with the words.....the producer thought it was a cool affect....although nino didn't like the idea.....the producer convinced him to leave the repitition in and ...the rest as they say is history...a big hit...!!! true story

  • This was my High School Orchestra teacher's undoing. He gave us this song to play, so we played it in this style. He quickly stopped us and explained to us, that, that was not the way it was written. If you hear the original, written in the 1930's you see that the beat is quite different. I tend to like this version better.

  • thanks for the explanation and love this song and your singers.

  • I played this song over and over, especially back in the 60's. It's so awesome!! LOL

  • This has to be one of the best songs ever written, and April and Nino NAILED this one! Such a haunting and beautiful melody!

  • @estelle715 I would totally agree with you on that one. I loved this song in 1963.

  • There was a rumour at the time, that Phil Spector produced this (he didn't - nor did he deny it). Thanks!

  • Love this song !!!

    Great music...

    Dick

  • ...I remember seeing them on American Bandstand.(1964?.).do this song...they we great....thanks

  • 1963 long time ago was only 16 wish i could turn back time

  • @MultiSaddlers

Growing up in that era, I can tell you from personal experience that it was truly a magical, mystical, intriguing period of time in our country's history. And the music that came out of that time period was truly extraordinary. We shall never again experience the magic that was the 1960s.

  • nice x
