@Yolande0 The explanation of the missing or optional horizontal stroke of 德 is in the video "Optional Horizontal Stroke in 肯德" starting from 2 min 16 sec.
It's always amazing to watch you write the characters. Thank you for always posting such informative videos. As a beginner, watching you has teached me a lot of things when writing especially when to properly do turns, press and release the brush. Thank you very much for always sharing your knowledge! I'm pretty sure there are others who are thankful like I am.
It's better to have a waterhole with the inkstone so we can add / decrease water little by little. The writing speed, paper quality, characters sizes... also affect the quantity of water to be added the the time needed for grinding, so it won't be too dry or too wet; these, in turn, also affects how much portion of brush hair to be dipped.
Joshua, when i write with my grinded ink, it is either too dry or too wet. can you give me some advice? On my inkstone there is no waterhole. how should i know, how much water i should use? i will show you my inkstone in a video when i find some time. also are you only putting the tip of the brush into the ink or soaking the brush?
德 seems incorrect
