  • For me ,the best teacher you can have is your self ,when you take the time to step out of your self and observe your self truthfully you will learn more then you can imagine. PEACE, LOVE & LIGHT ☽o☾♡ ☼ Mr.Dee.

  • Namaste, truly appreciate the friend invite...be well, Michael

  • Lama Jigme,Thanks for sharing..I believe you are so right in our individual quest for practice,( spiritually) will take you to source. It is a need for all race and creed that can be met. It's the essence of the soul and where it is directed that is sometimes the challenge. You are beautiful. Thanks for letting me share my thoughts. Love peace and Blesings.

  • ALADDIN GEE--NOT BORING GREAT BRO

  • I like the way you speak. I do have a question about your logic.

You say that there is no way to know what teacher to follow, and then quote Buda, and follow what he says.

How is that not choosing a teacher and following them blindly?

Your argument is circular reasoning at best, and smacks of a A-Priori Logical fallacy too.

(I know you said that logic can not help. But I am kind of stuck with what works.)

  • @dmosier The Lama was a little off here I think... what the Buddha actually said was more like "don't believe things blindly, because of the teacher's reputation, or because of specious reasoning, or because his words are commonly accepted, but by testing his teachings by applying them to your own life, and seeing if the results that manifest (i.e. a diminishing of all forms of suffering in your life) are consistent with what he preaches". This is the manner in which Buddhists follow the dharma.
