  • hi does any body knows what type of material is the door panel made of i have a 2003 s10, is it vinyl? my door panel is kindna old and i would like to paint it and i was thinking of using duplicolor vinyl paint you thing it my work? thank you

  • On 3:03 what else can i use to remove them?

  • Worked exactly the same on my 97 Chevy S10. I picked up an Autocraft Door Handle Tool (Part # AC656) at Advance Auto Parts for abut $6. It worked like a charm for getting the window crank out. When you're putting the door handle panel back in, be sure to align the door lock on the slider. A great and very helpful video! Thanks.

  • thanks, i have 2 exterior mirrors in transit. It was funny watching the originals both break off and bounce down the road behind me in 2008. They fell off about 2 months apart from my 95 s-10 that now has 250,000 miles.

  • Americans are complicating things in order to make people go and buy tools like 7mm or that manual window assembly tool. I can take my interior a part by just using a simple Philips screw driver.

  • That's it help me alot good work

  • Very nice video, thanks for the help man

  • Thanks for the video. Everything went very smooth with the mirror replacement.

  • i love how simple the door panels on s10's r yet hate them because mine is falling apart now lol

  • this is the exact problem i have. but when i go to remove the plastic screw at 2:02 it wont come out. any ideas?

  • @domenicd123 Stick a pocket knife or two behind the head of the screw and pry it straight out.

  • WOW you helped me out tremendously. Saved me alot of frustration. Both my mirrors needed replaced.

  • would this work on a 97 S-10 blazer as well? i have automatic windows and door locks, will that make a difference?

  • @TheyCallMeGriZ It will be similar. There will obviously be electrical connectors for the power accessories that my truck doesn't have. The good news is that you don't need a tool for the window crank handle!

  • hey thanks a lot for this video, really a help.. I was havin quite the time gettin the interior panel off to replace my exterior mirror.. thanks again

  • Great vid. Helped me to remove my broken mirror that was dangling by the electric cable. For some reason they decided to put the quick connector deep down inside the door instead of up close to the mirror. The trim around the door handle was an absolute nightmare to pry off and reinstall.

  • Hey i have a 1995 chevy s10 , and i looked everywhere on how to install my mirror, and it turns out the door panels are almost the exact same.

    Thank you.

  • nice vidio ,thanks

  • wow that's exactly what i needed to know for my 97 sonoma. great job i really appreciate it.

  • What's the name of that tool you used to get the window crank off and where can I get one???

  • This may sound sarcastic , but that is a window handle removal tool. I saw one at my local auto parts store the other day for about four bucks.

  • what a life saver!!!!couldnt figure out for nothing how to get the window crank off...........thanks bud

  • Nooooo, Why didnt you buy 1995 FORD instead...? Jk

  • I could have bought a '98 Ranger cheaper, but it needed more work. I prefer GM products, but I do like antique Fords, and I own a fox bodied Mustang that is totally disassembled.

  • Why is there a beeper in american vehicles?

  • We are too stupid to remember to remove our keys and turn off our lights when we get out!

  • LOL

  • chevys are sometimes the easiest things to work on ah screw it drop a LS2 in it now thats a real s10

  • right on!!!!!
