hi does any body knows what type of material is the door panel made of i have a 2003 s10, is it vinyl? my door panel is kindna old and i would like to paint it and i was thinking of using duplicolor vinyl paint you thing it my work? thank you
Worked exactly the same on my 97 Chevy S10. I picked up an Autocraft Door Handle Tool (Part # AC656) at Advance Auto Parts for abut $6. It worked like a charm for getting the window crank out. When you're putting the door handle panel back in, be sure to align the door lock on the slider. A great and very helpful video! Thanks.
thanks, i have 2 exterior mirrors in transit. It was funny watching the originals both break off and bounce down the road behind me in 2008. They fell off about 2 months apart from my 95 s-10 that now has 250,000 miles.
Americans are complicating things in order to make people go and buy tools like 7mm or that manual window assembly tool. I can take my interior a part by just using a simple Philips screw driver.
@TheyCallMeGriZ It will be similar. There will obviously be electrical connectors for the power accessories that my truck doesn't have. The good news is that you don't need a tool for the window crank handle!
hey thanks a lot for this video, really a help.. I was havin quite the time gettin the interior panel off to replace my exterior mirror.. thanks again
Great vid. Helped me to remove my broken mirror that was dangling by the electric cable. For some reason they decided to put the quick connector deep down inside the door instead of up close to the mirror. The trim around the door handle was an absolute nightmare to pry off and reinstall.
I could have bought a '98 Ranger cheaper, but it needed more work. I prefer GM products, but I do like antique Fords, and I own a fox bodied Mustang that is totally disassembled.

This may sound sarcastic , but that is a window handle removal tool. I saw one at my local auto parts store the other day for about four bucks.
