@224736 all he did was remove material from the pto end. he did not touch the rod journal or the rodm so no, this will not cause vibrations or rod damaage.
keep your silly meters you silly basterds. if you cant understand fractions dont machine let alone try tool making were are americans and dont want to be like the rest of the world. im a proud american tool and die maker
Yea I hate fractions (born in Germany). Nothing's more confusing than that shit! I can live with decimal inches but that's it. Inches, feet, miles... OMG The imperial system is so not making sense! Especially in a machine shop! Who the heck need FRACTIONS.
i was born in america and all i use is metric for stuff i can. Imperial is retarded fractions are retarded why go by 12 when you can go by a even number. I suck at math so metric is really easy for me
I'm no genius in math either but it has nothing to do with that. Fractions don't work. And what the hell is it with all the different units?!? Inches, feet, miles and all the crap in between. It's just unbelievable that a couple of countries won't make the change! It's inevitable. Sooner or later they will anyway!
yeah i know america and the few countrys that use it are just stuborn. And i am pretty much the only one in pennsylvania that likes metric.lol and a 27/64 drill wow i dont know what that would even be in rough size its to confusing.
STUPID, sorry to say you know shit of metric, 19mm not 20 equals 3/4" (19mm = 3/4"), just grab a 19mm open end wrench and see how it fits nicely over a 3/4" nut, I can't believe how stupid you are, I am very sorry to tell you, you are a stupid asshole.
stupid, the axle is already tapered inside in the center of axle that's why I didn't have to taper anything; you dont know what you say, what do you think that we didnt know what we were doing, any cuestion please let me know.
I just did the same thng on mine this week, except I used lots of sandpaper on the running engine shaft. Just a wee bit error, aprox. 0.2mm, but good enough hehe.
Sweet!

aren't 6.5 hp engines already 3/4 shaft
Hogasofa 1 year ago
@Hogasofa they have different endings. some are 3/4 keyed, others are tapered or threaded depending on the intended application.

pretty sure that would un balance the crank, and once you modify it, its gonna vibrate or snap rods.

Wow this is the first time I hear that from an American! Thank God! This is GOOD NEWS!
If you can't see the benefits of the metric system then I just don't know what to think! The other day I used a 27/64 drill... I just thought "WTF!"

And what's the problem with that? The shaft was 20 mm and he turned it down to 19.05 mm. He can come and plumb my house anytime :-P
