I just LOVE how it blends into your skin! I've been hesitant to buy it myself for the price alone, but I heard nothing but good things about MUFE. I have MAC Studio Sculpt and I loved it at first but now it makes me look orange. I, too, have dry skin so I'm very particular about liquid foundations. With saying that, I don't like the ashy, flaky look that some leave behind. I dunno, I may have to scrap up 40 bucks for it. Thanks for the vid!
I know you said that you didn't really use foundation, but I thought I'd just say this because I have the same problem with most foundations. My face just looks awful because the product cakes and you can always tell that I have foundation on. I ended up trying Smashbox's High Definition FX Foundation, and it's probably the greatest thing ever. It doesn't cake, and I don't even feel it on me. Even when I traveled on flights or was in 90 degree weather , it felt absolutely fantastic.
have you tried make up for ever's face and body liquid foundation? it's in a gel form and light and smells great. please do a review when you get around to try it. thanks
hahaha, that comment about your neighbors child is EXACTLY how i felt about my neighbors before they moved lol. but thanks for the review! MEGA helpful :D
i've used their eyeshadows and love them, u should try them.. #82 is my fave, it's a great gray w/o all the glitter especially for the smokey look and mixes well with a lot of other colors
I really like your videos! So I want to buy a powder foundation can you recommend me a great one?! :) && How do I set a powder foundation also am I supposed to use a face primer before anything I just use a face cream and then begin with my concealer and foundation.. is this right?
@greendiamond12 I very rarely wear powder or mineral foundation because my skin is so dry. However I absolutely love Origins Multi-Grain Makeup. You can apply a primer before applying a powder/mineral foundation and you can set it with a loose/pressed translucent powder if you feel comfortable doing so.
&&+ i can totally relate on being pale ! girls are always telling me "wanna use some of my bronzer?" or "girl you need to add some color to yr face because you are WHITE". its like i know im white but id rather look white than orange like they do... stupid cake faced girls ..
I've had the same issue with cakeyness when applying it with my mac 109 and 187...thankfully it was a sample! The talc just gave it way to much of a powedery finish. But I guess it all comes down to personal preference and the composition of each person's skin!
` if you could, could you make a review on the missha bb cream? i really trust your reviews and would so so appreciate it, i know others would too. and i think youll really like it! its suppose to feel like a moisturizer but is a foundation as well. please consider it!
@Castalis011 I can only guess but MUFE is an expensive brand and is used by a lot of professional makeup artists. They make very high quality products and so you're paying both for the MUFE name and for the quality of the product.
@Castalis011 It is pretty expensive but the finish is not too heavy while giving you medium coverage on the first swipe (it is also very buildable) I only need about one to one and a half pumps though when I apply it with a brush. I used a sponge and it didn't apply too well. To me, it also photographs really well. Plus I agree that their emphasis on matching people's undertones almost guarantees you'll find a true match.
Can you please compare this foundation with the revlon photoready foundation. I've heard that these two foundations are almost the same thing, except the revlon photoready is only $13.99. I found mine as cvs on sale buy one get one free!
Can you do a comparison review on the Cover FX #160 Cream Foundation Brush and the Shu Uemura Natural 18 Goat Hair Foundation Brush? Thanks :) . Love your reviews!
I use MUFE foundation in #125 and it's also the PERFECT shade for me. I also have #127 which is a little darker and I wear that in the summer. Sometimes I mix one pump of #125 and then 1 pump of #127 and it gives me PHENOMENALLY PERFECT shade to me skin tone! I have been using MUFE HD for 2 yrs now and nothing has beat it ever since!!
@ji94552 I would always recommend a liquid but I don't really have a specific brand I'd recommend. I rarely wear foundation but prefer tinted moisturizers so I'm more familiar with them than foundations.
Thank you for your reply. I tried dead sea mud mask and switched back to BB Cream. I still have to dab some coconut oil on the spot, but my skin is much better now.
Have you tried the NARS sheer matte or Sheer Glow foundation? I would love to see a review of either of those. :D Especially compared to the MUFE HD one.
I have really pale skin, so it is very hard for me to find a drugstore foundation that matches. I would love to try out the mufe hd, but I doubt I can get my hands on it where I live.
You mentioned a green foundation primer; if you're looking for one, I have tried Pur Mineral's Color Correcting Primer in Green (also available in Peach). I don't know how well it works with liquid foundations as I use powder foundations, but it does a VERY good job of correcting redness and it blends into the skin well.
I also used it for Halloween to create a Zombie look. I used lots of this stuff in layers to get that 'undead white' look but I never looked green.
I love the MUFE foundation, but agree with you about application issues with a brush....any brush....but if you use your fingers to blend instead, I find it is great and will not produce that "cakey" thing you mentioned.
Seriously, two drops (like half pumps) on my middle and ring finger, then just do a dab/smooth motion to apply.
omg cetaphil moisturizers are sooo great for dry skin. i'm not kidding. i just looked up the reviews on this and they were insanely good. so i went out and bought it and OH-MY-GOSH. i cannot recomend this enough. go to walmart. get it. you're skin will feel like heaven in a matter of days!
i've had that same problem with the makeup looking cakey on my forehead and middle of eyebrow area.. i thought it was my skin because the brush i use covers well everywhere else.. i use mac's studio fix fluid though. i guess i need a different brush =/
Great review! What shade of the Maybelline foundation do you use? You and I seem to have the same skin tone (known as "AHH! A GHOST!") and I'd like to try it. Thanks!
What was the name of the maybelline foundation? I have dry fair skin like yours. Thanks for the review, I will definately not purchase this one because I hate it when foundation sticks to my dry patches.
i know! isn't is so weird when you find your PERFECT shade in a foundation, you put it on and you're like "wow. i look like a ghost." when really thats what your skin is SUPPOSED to look like, minus all the redness and bumps and craziness? insane.
I love the Shu Uemura #18 goat haired brush. I have never tried it with my MUFE HD foundation though, but that's because I haven't used it in a long time as I have found other foundation brands that I like better. I find that the MUFE worked well with my Beauty Blender sponge.
I was using Armani LSF & Diorskin Nude. Then I discovered Japanese foundations and I've been hooked ever since. Right now I am loving Koh Gen Do Maifanshi, Shu Uemura Nobara, Kanebo's Lunasol Water Cream foundation. My wallet is not happy ;-)
OMG I looove japanese cosmetics! I've been very curious about the Lunasol water cream! But I've no idea which shade to get, I'm a MAC NC30, which one do you have?
Hey, so I have the same problem with flaky cheeks and foundation. Did this foundation still do that? Another utuber says it didnt on her and most foundation on her do .
Please don't kill the child! lol They probably won't allow u to make videos in prison! ha ha But I guess u could do make overs on the ur prison mates! ha ha just kidding........
im not a foundation wearer either but one night my daughter decided to give me a makeover and used maybelline satin finish with a pump i looked really good in it but i would only wear on special occasion i much prefer bronzer xxxx thankyou for your review
A really helpful review as always, it sounds similar to the Chanel pro lumiere which does the same on my skin so I'll give it a miss, I like the maybeline stuff too, muchos cheaper!
Lol to all the disclaimers in the sidebar. Great review. I'm not into to foundation so I'm not up for purchasing this, but if I ever change my mind I'll definitely be trying this one out.
I have to pay at least $60.00 for a MAC or NARS foundation here in australia. That's cheaper than usual cause I shop online. Nars foundations in Mecca Cosmetica is $99.00. Crazy.... $40.00 aint that bad!
I love my MUFE HD. :-) I only hate that there is a big shade gap between 117 & 118, and 118 & 120 are VERY similar.
I HATE the #55 brush. :-( I think mostly because I use the Sephora Professionnel Contour Blush/Bronzer Brush #43, and BUFF it on... and the #55 is not a good buffing brush.
I have a question... I've never been into a Sephora, but I will be next month while I'm on vacation - do all the different brands have their own like, representative? Do they irritate you into buying stuff? Hopefully someone can help me... I'd just like to be prepared, haha.
PS. Thanks for this review! I've been very interested in this foundation because I need a med/full coverage one... and am debating on a couple right now, lol.
irene, have you tried Bobbi Brown's "skin" foundation? that one comes in similar packaging and its super natural, water light and thin, but it evens everything out and has an spf. i think you would love that one... i had it but i turned out to be allergic to sunscreen so i had to give it away :-( wish they would make one without the spf for me :-(
i think this is a pretty good foundation, but not for oily skin like mine. it seems to sweat off and transfer really easily. i get shiny after a couple hours. but like you, the 110 matches my skin perfectly unlike any other foundation.
If you have all this makeup and like you said that you dont wear foundation alot, you should donate some of your un used makeup to a womens shelter for women in need. just a thought!
u should just take into consideration that i was giving IDEAS i never told u you to. i said it was just a thought incase you havnt thought of it before. excuse me for trying to do the right thing and give you ideas. no need to jump to conclusion there :S wow....
you should not comment on this video if you can't say nice and constuctive comments. we can live without your ignorance. you should be glad that people like pinkiecharm take time out of their lives to try and help us with our beauty needs. rawr.
Great review Irene. I wish I waited for your review before grabbing one because of the hype. I'll try it with Fix+ cause it's not applying the way I want it to, thanks for the tip. I'll keep trying it to figure out the best way to apply it, I might have to buy a new brush for it...sigh...I like how light it feels on my skin though, but I definitely like tinted moisturizer more.
Thank you so much for this review!! I have been wanting this foundation, but could never find a in depth review, but this is by far the best review yet!! :)
I do love this foundation. I´ve been applying it with the mac 109 brush, the 187, the beauty blender and my fingers. Best tool to use with it (my opinion) : my fingers.
i bought this foundation from sephora a week ago and i tried it and didnt really like it that much but kept wearing it so one day i applyed it and it was SOOO cakey i applyed it with my mac 109 and OMG! but i really didnt have time to while it off and star over so, i left it and then at lunch i go to the washroom and look in the mirror and with in a few houres it broke me out sooooo bad it looked like i had a rash on my face! because it wasnt to heavy i wear mac studio fix fluid everyday. weird
I'm so glad that you like the Sephora #55 brush. I absolutely adore it and actually did a comparison review on it comparing it to the Mac 187 and 109!
No, I believe the foundation too light for her it makes her look ghostly, but that's my opinion and the beauty of an opinions is --everyone has one. :)
HER, right? Ok, just making sure I wasn't talking to you in my original comment to HER. Thanks for being her knight in shining armor tho, even though she wasn't be attacked/bashed or hated on. Simply an opinion.... *rolls eyes*
She said in the video that it came up light on camera there for your opinion shouldn't matter. Any body's skin in almost any video online is distorted.
@amylove1975 Actually this is the right shade. Take into consideration something like lighting before assuming I (or anyone else) am wearing the incorrect color.
LOL!! You are just too much. I'm comparing your face in this video to your other videos same light, same camera (assuming bwahah), and in this particular one you look like a ghost. period.
Their lightest beige colour is too dark for me. what should i do?

A really helpful review as always, it sounds similar to the Chanel pro lumiere which does the same on my skin so I'll give it a miss, I like the maybeline stuff too, muchos cheaper!

Lol to all the disclaimers in the sidebar. Great review. I'm not into to foundation so I'm not up for purchasing this, but if I ever change my mind I'll definitely be trying this one out.

I want to buy this now! Do you know where to get the lightest shade? I am very very very pale, Haha.
AMYISRAD 2 years ago
@AMYISRAD I've only seen it at Sephora's website.
pinkiecharm 2 years ago
@pinkiecharm Really? Because I checked there and I didn't see it?
AMYISRAD 2 years ago
@AMYISRAD Well it was there but maybe they pulled it for some reason.

Interesting review! I intend to buy this foundation before Christmas and you've been very helpful.
Here, in Europe, makeup and cosmetics are so expensive!
mericamps 2 years ago
If you never wear foundation 40 dollars isn't that much either. It should last forever
Mehuber09 2 years ago
I am the same way. No matter how light a foundation I go it is always to dark. It sucks
Mehuber09 2 years ago
what was the foundation you were mentioning by maybelline

I have to pay at least $60.00 for a MAC or NARS foundation here in australia. That's cheaper than usual cause I shop online. Nars foundations in Mecca Cosmetica is $99.00. Crazy.... $40.00 aint that bad!
CherryColaKiss 2 years ago
Hey, I feel your pain. Mecca is crazy!! Their NARS palette is like a gazillion times more expensive than the US!!!
cacipony 2 years ago
$99.00 AUD is about $89.50 USD. For a foundation!
CherryColaKiss 2 years ago
What? where do they sell it for that much? and ship it to australia or is this i australia? Im in australia

how much is it in US DOLLARS?

I love this foundation. It doesnt have a scent and its so light. Love love love

So for great coverage, try the #43!

I have a question... I've never been into a Sephora, but I will be next month while I'm on vacation - do all the different brands have their own like, representative? Do they irritate you into buying stuff? Hopefully someone can help me... I'd just like to be prepared, haha.
PS. Thanks for this review! I've been very interested in this foundation because I need a med/full coverage one... and am debating on a couple right now, lol.

irene, have you tried Bobbi Brown's "skin" foundation? that one comes in similar packaging and its super natural, water light and thin, but it evens everything out and has an spf. i think you would love that one... i had it but i turned out to be allergic to sunscreen so i had to give it away :-( wish they would make one without the spf for me :-(
whatthedeuce87 2 years ago
Hi Irene! What foundation color are you in MAC. I am an NW15/NW20 (pink undertones) and want to try this foundation. Thanks, and luv u Reenie!
kokumkoala 2 years ago
@kokumkoala I actually don't know because I don't use MAC foundation.

I've never used the HD (because I have enough oil on my face to gas a third world country), but I have used their Mat Velvet+ and I love it.

I love this foundation..i found my perfect shade too i love itt. the only thing i dislike is the price..lol
FlipxPrincess 2 years ago
i think this is a pretty good foundation, but not for oily skin like mine. it seems to sweat off and transfer really easily. i get shiny after a couple hours. but like you, the 110 matches my skin perfectly unlike any other foundation.
giltgold 2 years ago
I have followed your reviews for quite some time and this one is one of the best ones. It was very informative and honest. Thanks.

whats a good tinted moisturizer you recommend? you mightve mentioned this already but i dont remember hearing about it.

If you have all this makeup and like you said that you dont wear foundation alot, you should donate some of your un used makeup to a womens shelter for women in need. just a thought!
kaitxxo 2 years ago
@kaitxxo Just because I rarely wear foundation doesn't mean I don't wear my other makeup.
pinkiecharm 2 years ago
u should just take into consideration that i was giving IDEAS i never told u you to. i said it was just a thought incase you havnt thought of it before. excuse me for trying to do the right thing and give you ideas. no need to jump to conclusion there :S wow....

@kaitxxo I merely responded to your comment. There's no reason for you to get so defensive.

you should not comment on this video if you can't say nice and constuctive comments. we can live without your ignorance. you should be glad that people like pinkiecharm take time out of their lives to try and help us with our beauty needs.

I love the MUFE Mat Velvet +.
I don't think I'd like this one [HD] though.

I have to admit, I'm not a fan of this foundation. I find my Maybelline 24 Hour Foundation is just as good for more than half the price.

Is the Shu brush comparable to the MAC 109?
rapkat0021 2 years ago
Thank you so much for this review!! I have been wanting this foundation, but could never find a in depth review, but this is by far the best review yet!! :)
KateOfTheArt 2 years ago
I do love this foundation. I´ve been applying it with the mac 109 brush, the 187, the beauty blender and my fingers. Best tool to use with it (my opinion) : my fingers.

i bought this foundation from sephora a week ago and i tried it and didnt really like it that much but kept wearing it so one day i applyed it and it was SOOO cakey i applyed it with my mac 109 and OMG! but i really didnt have time to while it off and star over so, i left it and then at lunch i go to the washroom and look in the mirror and with in a few houres it broke me out sooooo bad it looked like i had a rash on my face! because it wasnt to heavy i wear mac studio fix fluid everyday. weird

Pinkie Charm, have you tried the neutragena tinted moisturizer?
yengbren 2 years ago
I'm so glad that you like the Sephora #55 brush. I absolutely adore it and actually did a comparison review on it comparing it to the Mac 187 and 109!
Great review as always, irene!

The Shu brush looks identical to a brush I have from CVS. Maybe I'll try using that for foundation!
AllThePaige 2 years ago
That foundation color looks WAY too light for you, I would try a 115 if I were you.
amylove1975 2 years ago
i think it matches her face fine. maybe it's the eyeshadow that makes the foundations not look her color...but she looks good.
iamawsomeable 2 years ago
No, I believe the foundation too light for her it makes her look ghostly, but that's my opinion and the beauty of an opinions is --everyone has one. :)
amylove1975 2 years ago
I think you should let her decide if it's too light or not because as she said the lighting throws the camera off.
dEadlyxwEapon 2 years ago
Thanks for letting me know what you think.
amylove1975 2 years ago
You're welcome. Only thought you should know since you did the same to her.
dEadlyxwEapon 2 years ago
HER, right? Ok, just making sure I wasn't talking to you in my original comment to HER. Thanks for being her knight in shining armor tho, even though she wasn't be attacked/bashed or hated on. Simply an opinion.... *rolls eyes*
End.
amylove1975 2 years ago
She said in the video that it came up light on camera there for your opinion shouldn't matter. Any body's skin in almost any video online is distorted.
dEadlyxwEapon 2 years ago
@amylove1975 Actually this is the right shade. Take into consideration something like lighting before assuming I (or anyone else) am wearing the incorrect color.
pinkiecharm 2 years ago
LOL!! You are just too much. I'm comparing your face in this video to your other videos same light, same camera (assuming bwahah), and in this particular one you look like a ghost. period.
amylove1975 2 years ago
@amylove1975 WOW. I replied to your comment quite nicely and yet you want to be rude. Okay.
