if possible both, they are both great games. If you can only buy one game, well there are some things you need to consider. If you like/love playing the first Assasin's Creed even when its repetitive nature starts to kick in, you WILL definately adore assasin's creed since they improved in about ever aspect of the first game greatly. So take this into consideration.

As for Batman Arkam Asylum, In my opinion is also a very good game. It is paced very well throughout the entire game and the combat system (though may seem like a buttom masher, keep on pressing square to attack for in the ps3) is surprisingly complex due to the different enermy types that REQUIRE different tatics to eliminate them. This is also the same for the parts in the game where you are swinging around taking care of armed gurads, it get different everytime.
