Video should be titled BRUTAL MISMATCH. Dude in orange trunks has a mean left leg but he was fighting a punching bag. Props to dude in blue for continuing to get up even though he knew he'd just get dropped again. Too bad his skills don't match his heart. This video showcases a mismatch beating, not a brutal fight.

@h3llfire7 the sanda guy is clearly sanda, kyokushin guy is holding kyokushin stance with hands slightly higher than usual. were he a kickboxer, he would have probably trained to roll his shoulders up more and tucked in his chin. don't understand why people who sit and watch youtube fights all day STILL can't distinguish between martial arts oO
@h3llfire7 those two fighter's striking styles are about as different as it gets. I'm not even going to bother spelling out all the differences from stance to guard to movement since you clearly never done a martial art in your life. However, I will say that the guy in red trunks is definitely sanda/sanshou and the guy in blue trunks is definitely karate with a modified guard that suggests kyokushin.
I have no idea who is fighting though. At first I thought it was Hailong but red is too tall.
It's a lot down to the actual trainer of the martial art on how "good" the students are. Bad teacher teaches bad things. A good teacher won't stick to rigid training but incorporates techniques from multiple styles. Basically, they teach what works practically and not simply theoretically.
Agree with Seventh, fighters were not evenly matched. Red guy had a height advantage, but he was also much more fit, and blue crouched while hitting too much. Blue could take a beating though, surprised that he could get up from some of the hits.
I totaly agree...it is the fighter not the style...u cannot say that kung fu is better than kyokushin...as u may know, both Andi Hug - may his soul rest in peace- and Fransisco Filho has beaten many kung fu, muai thai, TKD and other martial arts fighters and they are both Kukushin...so it really depends on how smart and tough the player is.
@TYOUNGOS have you ever seen bruce lee fight? Red is quite strong in his stance, which is why he can simply knock down blue. Because of Blue's weak stances and rickety movements cause him to lose footing. He has some grapple in him, but it's short lasting and shocking. This fight was over before it began.
I think one of the reason why Kung Fu or Sanda dominates kickboxing sport is that their techniques usually utilize speed in strikes and kicks. And this sport is a game of strike and kicks where they specialize the most.
Send an MMA expert inside the ring and he'll surely succumb to a Sanda fighter. Meanwhile place a Sanda fighter inside UFC octagon and he'll surely succomb to an MMA fighter.
like many videos we watch, physical fitness is a key point - e.g. 2 fighters have to be in the same range of weight, hopefully same level of fitness. Superiorty due to style of martial art is not clear imo. The strongest of it is - Jiu jitsu vs. any Stand up style...otherwise, I really believe that the one who use it is more important than the style he uses...finish.
All Arts are equal. When will people realise this. I generally find that when someone says that one Arts is better than another, they know very little about either. Most began a long time ago. More modern versions have adapted to involve grappling and gound-work. If you had to use one to save your life, you wouldn't follow rules and would bite and aim for the groin etc. So in a way, putting one against another in the ring is pointless, it's down to the individual.
Well, this is a fight that took place in China. I've been to China and seen some of these types of events live. Basically they bring in mediocre fighters from other countries to fight their best fighters in order to make them look good.
Now I do generally think that Sanda is a more practical style for fighting than Kyokushin, but this fight is hardly good evidence of that.
Actually kyokushin has one of the hardest and insane training of all martial arts; Just read the superhuman achievements his inventor Masutatsu Oyama... Could be one of the most lethal martial arts because has the same concept as kendo: 1 hit = 1kill. For this reason the practicioners have many prohibitions like the use of takedowns or face hits.
@ShotokanKarateWizard Nice info comming from a guy named shotokan karate wizard. What regular kung fu or karate there are like hundreds. Did you know kung fu there is take downs like shiao jiao (which is also in sanda) and submissions like Chin NA (Same) and I've seen karate guys have a difficult time with grapplers like judo and jujitsu specialists. Also there have been kung fu guys who beat karate not just sanshou yes traditional kung fu (karate also wins vs kung fu) it's person not the style.
I don't know about that most fights I have seen between 2 fighters of the same strength and agility one using kung fu and the other using some other martial art kung fu always wins.
@Dimitri0809 It really doesn't matter if 10 karate guys win against the kung fu guys they've faced and only one kung fu guy beat only one karate guy I would still see kung fu as an equal to karate. If one kung fu guy can atleast beat one karateka then maybe others can. It's all about the person not the style.
Kanda, there are so many fights kyokushin vs sanda. It doesn't even matter Kyokushin fighters are from Russia or Japan. The results are just consistent, Kyokushin guys are always handily beaten. And some of these fights are available here on Youtube. If you don't know how to search them, that's not my problem. If you want to prove it personally by fighting a Sanshou guy, pls let me know. Just contact me. Getting knocked on your head will probably be healthy for your tiny brain.
kyokushin is a very powerful karate style, the thing is dat they are not used to the takedowns and throws used by sanda fighters. But in kyokushin tournament u can see why kyokushin is the most powerful of all, basically they can eat pain xD
@MechPhantom It's true Kyokushin fighters are resilient, but keep in mind that Karate rules usually don't allow punches to the head. You can train to take body shots, but I've seen a lot of Karate guys get KO'ed because they're so used to keeping a low guard. Some karate fighters also use throws too. Problem is styles like Sanda and Muay Thai have even harder conditioning, making typically better fighters from the background. Still, it's the fighter and not the art. Respect to all martial arts!!
@CommanderYuan yea true hah they arent trained to hit heads yea super true. Btw the part where u say " sanda and muay thay even harder conditioning " for me isnt true, its because that i have seen alot of sanda fighters get knowcked out by kyokushiin, especially mauy thai . So thats means that kyokushin and muay thai train quite hard also. But u can trin very hard or not,in the fight its up to you yourself whether u wanna win or not. The only reason sanda fighters is good ,not coz they train hard.
It is the fighter, the problem is that the kung fu and other martial art even kyukuyshin are become sport, and the kyukushin training is more effective for that kind of match, the most technical arsenal on martial art, is only for real combat, no one sports man will break a knee or elbow just for to win a match, but in the real world that is not an etical problem.

@carvalho20002 i agree because kung fu sanda has takedowns and kyokushin is stand up fighting . but hey , this is just one style of kung fu and karate .
@carvalho20002 Kung fu better than KYOKUSHIN KARATE? kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.... Kyokushin: Andy Hug, Georges st pierre, francisco filho, glaube feitosa... And kung fu... ?
@robertoeut , don't you see how Kyokushin fighters have been decimated in the ring in China and Thailand? It is wrong to say it is not the style but the fighter when you see Kyokushin guys are consistently destroyed by Sanda/Sanshou practitioners. The strongest Karate? Wtf??? Where is other karate organisation btw? Hiding? Where I live in Bangkok and now Jakarta, you see similar results where Kyokushin guy has been completely ridiculed, most wont survive 3 rounds, many KOed in 1st round.
@Ultra1980 last time I checked kyukoshin karate beat MT 2-1. they lost 1 fight coz there was a reserve fighter who was less experianced. kyukoshin continues to defeat MT even today. some good examples are Andy Hug, Bas Rutten, Gerard Gordeu.
@zoheb8765 You should read up more on Bas. He trained Kyokushin and loved it, but switched to MT because Karate didnt allow him to punch the head. Remember man, it's the fighter and not the style. Though you could say Karate>MT, you should have seen the rematch between Shogun Rua and Lyoto Machida. People say Machida was the best karateka, and he got KO'ed Round 1. But why argue about which is better when you could combine both? Respect to all martial arts. Thats what I learned from Jeet Kune Do
@CommanderYuan continued its because they are more aggressive than those kyokushin guys. After all the sanda guy can train very hard and still make a mistake in a fight and lost it to the kyokushin guy or vice versa. coz there are peoepl who train sooo hard and all but still lose ultimately in a fight. Not only how hard you train, most important sometimes it luck also, yea respect to all MA. >> watch the vid called "ko Taisei vs Sun wu" >>> on the top right to know wat i mean. sometiems its luck
@MechPhantom Ah just saw the fight. Luck is DEFINITELY involved in standup but you could see the Sanda guy was DOMINATING technically. Pardon my words. I did not mean "harder training", but more like such styles tend to be prepared for more situations, such as clinching and throwing. Of course some karate schools also practice Judo techs, and some keep a high guard, but I'm just saying MT and Sanda *tend* to be more well-rounded. You like lucky finishes? Look up Scott Smith vs Benji Radach.
@CommanderYuan haha yea i like you man ,at last you understand ,yea the sanda guy dominated him no doubt for sure, and yea its doesnt have to do with who trains harder ,the most important thing is how well you prepare urself in those kind of situations, you can trian super hard and well but u wont know how to apply it in a certain situation. So yea preparing smart is more important than preparing hard. So yea thx for ur comment u rock bro,and yes i love lucky finishes haha. Peace bye !
@CommanderYuan continued and btw bro watch the vid on cung le vs some one i forgot, even cung le is soo fucking skilled, never lost and dominated the WHOLE fight in the end the got was lucky and knocked the shit outta him ,so yea remember luck id also important, not just hard training xD.Dats why theres no such thing as an undefeatable fighter, all are humans after all,and humans are fallable,in other words they make mistakes that will cost thier win. PEACE BYE !
I'm not saying Karate is better than Muay Thai, but in the past Kyokushin has proven dominant over Muay Thai. And I agree with what you said, especially the part that all martial arts should be respected.
But Lyoto being the best karateka? Really? Lyoto trained in Machida karate, a style his father created which is basically Shotokan. I give him props but he is not even CLOSE to being the best karateka.
And the fighter in the blue trunks definitely isn't a kyokushin karateka.
@BrettNASTYY Unfortunately, it has not. Muay Thai has held enough recorded wins to be considered the meterstick of standup. Chizo Machida, Lyoto's younger brother was "better" in that he was better standing. To you that may be the better Karateka, but I refer to the best as the best all around. Kyokushin is a powerful style, don't get me wrong. However, there is also a tendency for Muay Thai fighters to hold wins over Kyokushinkai.
Blue trunks is recorded Kyokushinkai representing Russia.
you must be mistaken. There were official Kyokushin vs Muay Thai bouts held at Lumpinee Stadium in thailand under Muay Thai rules back in 64' and 74'. Mas Oyama brought 5 of his students to fight some of the best Muay Thai fighters and Kyokushin came out victorious. There are also rumors that Mas Oyama defeated Black Cobra at Lumpinee Stadium back in the 50's but there are no official records.
However there are many Kyokushin vs Muay Thai videos on youtube. see for yourself.
you seriously must not know jack shit if you think Lyoto Machida is the best karateka, he's an amateur.
LEGENDS of Shotokan karate: Kagawa, Yahara, Yamamoto, Ogura, etc. can be considered some of the best karateka. And I haven't even begun to mention on all the legends of Goju Ryu, Uechi Ryu, Shorin Ryu, and Kyokushin.
You should stop basing your opinions off of MMA.
UFC fans might think Lyoto's the best karateka in the world, but they've also never seen a real karateka before!
@BrettNASTYY I must not know jack shit about following pure karate competitions with restricted rules and no groundfighting, you mean. I didn't mean to say that Machida is better standing than all other karateka. His brother's better but in MMA he's terrible on the ground.
MMA is my meterstick of effectiveness of 1-on-1 unrestricted "style vs style". You should know better than to use absolute claims in regards to martial arts. I'm only using recorded data of actual full contact matchups. You?
@BrettNASTYY Also, I meant Best Karateka all-around. I highly doubt you can find someone who claims to be a DEDICATED "Real karateka" who's able to hold his water on the ground. Same with someone who's a DEDICATED "Real kung fu master". Their goal would in turn, be to not die. Which would mean, combatives against multiple opponents. Specialized standup techniques. This is much harder to differentiate, and thus I mainly judge for 1v1. HOWEVER, if you can find someone, please give me a name.
@kandal, there are so many fights kyokushin vs sanda. It doesn't even matter Kyokushin fighters are from Russia or Japan. The results are just consistent, Kyokushin guys are always handily beaten.

TheRazorfraser 7 months ago

SunWukong4 11 months ago
@SunWukong4
I don't know about that most fights I have seen between 2 fighters of the same strength and agility one using kung fu and the other using some other martial art kung fu always wins.
Dimitri0809 8 months ago
@Dimitri0809 It really doesn't matter if 10 karate guys win against the kung fu guys they've faced and only one kung fu guy beat only one karate guy I would still see kung fu as an equal to karate. If one kung fu guy can atleast beat one karateka then maybe others can. It's all about the person not the style.
SunWukong4 8 months ago
@SunWukong4 lets say every martial art is somehow equal , but it all depends about the fighter

MechPhantom 1 year ago
@MechPhantom It's true Kyokushin fighters are resilient, but keep in mind that Karate rules usually don't allow punches to the head. You can train to take body shots, but I've seen a lot of Karate guys get KO'ed because they're so used to keeping a low guard. Some karate fighters also use throws too. Problem is styles like Sanda and Muay Thai have even harder conditioning, making typically better fighters from the background. Still, it's the fighter and not the art. Respect to all martial arts!!
CommanderYuan 1 year ago

Ultra1980 1 year ago
@Ultra1980 last time I checked kyukoshin karate beat MT 2-1. they lost 1 fight coz there was a reserve fighter who was less experianced. kyukoshin continues to defeat MT even today. some good examples are Andy Hug, Bas Rutten, Gerard Gordeu.
zoheb8765 1 year ago
@zoheb8765 You should read up more on Bas. He trained Kyokushin and loved it, but switched to MT because Karate didnt allow him to punch the head. Remember man, it's the fighter and not the style. Though you could say Karate>MT, you should have seen the rematch between Shogun Rua and Lyoto Machida. People say Machida was the best karateka, and he got KO'ed Round 1. But why argue about which is better when you could combine both? Respect to all martial arts. Thats what I learned from Jeet Kune Do
CommanderYuan 1 year ago 28
@CommanderYuan continued its because they are more aggressive than those kyokushin guys. After all the sanda guy can train very hard and still make a mistake in a fight and lost it to the kyokushin guy or vice versa. coz there are peoepl who train sooo hard and all but still lose ultimately in a fight. Not only how hard you train, most important sometimes it luck also, yea respect to all MA. >> watch the vid called "ko Taisei vs Sun wu" >>> on the top right to know wat i mean. sometiems its luck
MechPhantom 1 year ago
@MechPhantom Ah just saw the fight. Luck is DEFINITELY involved in standup but you could see the Sanda guy was DOMINATING technically. Pardon my words. I did not mean "harder training", but more like such styles tend to be prepared for more situations, such as clinching and throwing. Of course some karate schools also practice Judo techs, and some keep a high guard, but I'm just saying MT and Sanda *tend* to be more well-rounded. You like lucky finishes? Look up Scott Smith vs Benji Radach.
CommanderYuan 1 year ago
@CommanderYuan haha yea i like you man ,at last you understand ,yea the sanda guy dominated him no doubt for sure, and yea its doesnt have to do with who trains harder ,the most important thing is how well you prepare urself in those kind of situations, you can trian super hard and well but u wont know how to apply it in a certain situation. So yea preparing smart is more important than preparing hard. So yea thx for ur comment u rock bro,and yes i love lucky finishes haha. Peace bye !
MechPhantom 1 year ago
@CommanderYuan continued and btw bro watch the vid on cung le vs some one i forgot, even cung le is soo fucking skilled, never lost and dominated the WHOLE fight in the end the got was lucky and knocked the shit outta him ,so yea remember luck id also important, not just hard training xD.Dats why theres no such thing as an undefeatable fighter, all are humans after all,and humans are fallable,in other words they make mistakes that will cost thier win. PEACE BYE !
MechPhantom 1 year ago
@CommanderYuan is very true what u r saying Is always the fighter, not the style. A style may just fit you better, but in the end, is the fighter!
razvankyokushin 7 months ago
@CommanderYuan
BrettNASTYY 5 months ago
@BrettNASTYY Unfortunately, it has not. Muay Thai has held enough recorded wins to be considered the meterstick of standup. Chizo Machida, Lyoto's younger brother was "better" in that he was better standing. To you that may be the better Karateka, but I refer to the best as the best all around. Kyokushin is a powerful style, don't get me wrong. However, there is also a tendency for Muay Thai fighters to hold wins over Kyokushinkai.
Blue trunks is recorded Kyokushinkai representing Russia.
CommanderYuan 5 months ago
@CommanderYuan
you must be mistaken.
BrettNASTYY 5 months ago
@CommanderYuan
you seriously must not know jack shit if you think Lyoto Machida is the best karateka, he's an amateur.
BrettNASTYY 5 months ago
@BrettNASTYY I must not know jack shit about following pure karate competitions with restricted rules and no groundfighting, you mean. I didn't mean to say that Machida is better standing than all other karateka. His brother's better but in MMA he's terrible on the ground.
MMA is my meterstick of effectiveness of 1-on-1 unrestricted "style vs style". You should know better than to use absolute claims in regards to martial arts. I'm only using recorded data of actual full contact matchups. You?
CommanderYuan 5 months ago
@BrettNASTYY Also, I meant Best Karateka all-around. I highly doubt you can find someone who claims to be a DEDICATED "Real karateka" who's able to hold his water on the ground. Same with someone who's a DEDICATED "Real kung fu master". Their goal would in turn, be to not die. Which would mean, combatives against multiple opponents. Specialized standup techniques. This is much harder to differentiate, and thus I mainly judge for 1v1. HOWEVER, if you can find someone, please give me a name.
