  • THANK YOU for this video.

  • 13 people are cruel and kind of dumb !!!

  • Beautiful..

  • :) I really agree with this video, And the dresage bit its cruel, espically because it just for a bit of ribbon :/ Raceing is cruel because after a couple of bad races most are sent to slaughter D: WELL DONE GREAT JOB WITH THE VIDEO :)

  • i totally agree! why chose pain over partnership?

  • good liberty

  • That Video is so beautyful =)

  • echt toll

    Very great

  • this video made me almost cry! the amazingness of horses and the way the can understand us is just undescribable! i ride in a school for 6.5 years now and i am tired of always having to ride with a saddle! i wish just 4 1 lesson without it! without a wip or anything like that! i recently fell off and when i got back on i thanked the horse because it got me awake and aware!

  • Beautiful wonderful to see such trust and harmony between horse & human

  • I hate rodeo -_-' They get buckstraps around their waste :( Most horses aren't that wild. :(

Jumping and Dressage can even be done without a sadle and a bit and reins. You just have to teach your horse a little trick ;)

  • Thank you Markomydear! Thank you for assembling this nice and caring video.

Have a wonderful time, here and there!!

    Warm greetings from Kat

  • Oh give me a break.

  • The arrogance and conceit of the NH people never ceases to amaze!

  • Beautiful!! This is the perfect way to handle horses!! I do NH and Bitless riding myself and my horse changed so much!! At first he was soooo scary then i started doing NH (i already did that before with other horses) with him and he was soo sweet.. But then he got sold.. 3 Weeks later the owner got him back because the new owners did'nt like him anymore.. Then he was even more scared then ever! He had wounds all over his head..

So we started again and it's going very well!

    BTW What's the song??

  • wow , i totally agree with you x

  • I thank you very much. You have returned me what I have lost. Peaceful handling, Horsemanship. The everyday life was fullly mi stress situations. My horse has this noticed and blocked. "Mr. Magic Dream" didn't want to continue and only now I notice what I to him has done.

  • The horses in the dressage photos looked scared, thats probably just because their riders are too. I do dressage work occasionally, I'm not putting the horse to any harm and the horses actually enjoy it. Horse racing can be a shady industry, but most of those horses do enjoy running. Like Rachel Alexandra, Curlin, etc. They wouldn't perform that well for their riders if they don't enjoy what they're doing.

  • Beautful movie!!!!!!!

  • Horses like to run and jump, but not so fast as they were haunted by a predator, it's unnatura! Try studying hempfling!. When a horses chin is touching their neck, it is called roll-cure, and it is very harmful for the entire horse's body, muscles and bone structure. There have been many broadcasts with this phenomenon, and there has been much evidence recently about how harmful it is! trainers using these methods because it is a quick and easy way through training, but it is extremely harmful

  • ummm, doing dressage and racing and jumping inst cruel to horses. most horse slove to run and love to jump. and Dressage horses are trained and it does not hurt them. when they touch their chin to their neck it doesnt hurt them. you have to understand that if it was cruel and hurt them, their trainers/owners ould have stopped the training. just letting you guys no...

  • i agree with the dressage riders making their horse touch their nose to their chest is cruel, however racing is not. some trainers in all disciplines are cruel, but racing as a whole is not cruel. so that was very obnoxious of you to put in a picture of a horse who probably simply tripped and fell, and one just racing, and saying "what is their crime?" 99% of racehorses are treated better than any movie star, even. they're worshiped.

  • Its against a horse nature running that fast. Free and wild horses only run that fast, if they are in danger. And while they are running that fast, their forepart is very under pressure (overloaded) can't remember the word..

  • hardly. my thoroughbred runs that fast out in the pasture, just to do it. do you really think they'd do it if they had a big problem with it? no. hence why many horses don't make it in racing, because they don't enjoy it, so they DON'T go that fast. please realize that horses have a mind of their own. they're not mindless drones who do whatever they're told.

  • @Markomydear Everything that has to do with humans and horses is unnatural. Halters, brushing, vetting, farrier, handling, riding. Natural horses are WILD HORSES. Stop your complaining. Everything is unnatural when it comes to the companionship of horses and humans.

  • @IStartWithGlowPlugs too bad the only wild horses left in the entire world are in norway.

  • @showjumpinluv Hah really you think so?

  • @IStartWithGlowPlugs no i just said it for shits and giggles. yes, i know so. the horses that people think are wild in america are actually feral.

  • @showjumpinluv And after their racing career they end up in the horseslaughter.

  • @BabaaNii not all of them. horses from every discipline get sent to slaughter, and yes it's terrible, but that doesn't make the discipline terrible. there's bad people in every business to do with animals. pit bulls get put down just for being born in most of this country, but i don't see any of you freaking out about that.

  • Thanks everybody :) Since i made this video, i threw out all my equipment, and now only uses a rope around his neck. It's fantastick! He's totally changed. Try it!

Westie Agility: Never heard of Clinton Anderson?? :)

  • my boss has taught me alot about horsemanship he teaches me through clinton andersons methods

  • wow that was great. I have a friend who is teaching me horsemanship. But she is teaching me to be kind, using parelli, and it works. I mean,i'm not doing anything like that though

  • Very Nice Video.

  • great video i wish everyone could understand and treat their horse in a kind way. Pic's are great!

  • OMG man kann doch die pferde nicht so durch genick gehen lassen.. das ist total gegen ihre Natur !

  • wow!!! der hats echt mal drauf!!!!

    geht halt auch ohne "prügeln"!!!

    =)

  • great trainer!!!

  • The video is fantastic!!

It says that force has no chance!!

  • You've missed the point complete. Its not saying bits are cruel its saying that why stick a load of leather and metal around a horse when the same can be achieved with just a rope halter, or even less just a carrot stick. Its telling you that there are other options and instead of using force, use feel =) Do parelli , seriously it works! GOOD VIDEO, WELL DONE FOR PUTTING THIS UP :]

  • Comment removed

  • If you read my comment i'd be agreeing with you completly.. I ride my horse in and out of the field, schooling, hacking & jumping in just a rope halter along with a carrot stick.. I'm saying that this video isn't saying there cruel because there not (well.. a snaffle, isn't. A gag, no i don't like them & i dont personally agree with them) But i'm stating the fact that the person made this not to say there cruel as a whole but to say that there's other ways. My opinion is yours so.. :P

  • great job on the video!!!!your spreading the messege well! keep up the good work!

  • Thankyou for showing this to the world, it needs it....well done!

  • thats true. i agree about the rodeo. they put tight ropes around their stomac and it hurts for the horse. i feel sorry for them.

  • I agree that some rodeos aren't the nicest to their animals, but some of them do take care of them. Plus, not everyone has the kind of expirence to teach a horse to rie without a bridle. Just cause we use a bridle doesn't mean where abusing them.

  • Beautiful video.

  • i totally agree but the horse i ride likes being rode! if you walk past with a saddle and bridle he sticks his head out and licks the bit and nudges the saddle!lol i love Alfie! horsemanship is BOSS though!

  • So what happens to the rest of us taught our whole lives to be gentle with the rein, thoughtful with our whip, and gentle with our leg? Just because we have a bit in our horses mouth we're evil abusors? What if someone sees this video and suddenly goes and tries to ride bridleless and gets killed?! That kind of riding takes a lot of TRAINING that most of us can't afford.

  • You have so missed the point...the video is'nt saying bits are cruel??? The video is promoting learning and understanding of the horses own language to gain trust, acceptance, willingness and leadership. Try it.....There are books available and they don't cost a lot of money...

  • I'm sorry, but the video isn't portraying the message very well at then. None of the videos that I've seen promoting this man have. It's a video showing two extremes of the equestrian world. I work rehabilitating abused horses. I didn't learn how to ride bitless or use equine body language from a book, but from someone who knew how and could show me how, and explain to me what a book cannot. For $100 a lesson.

  • mmmmmmm it is a shame that money has taken over the principal of 'spreading the word' for the sake of horses. Good luck with your work.

  • Thank you, and yes. It upsets me very much that people with money get the knowledge.

  • I just LOVE that video,

    Get your horse more LOVE,

Love to this world and all animals.

  • all horse owners should learn how to communicate at the horses level. It demands praktice and patience for us people...horses already know....

  • Amazing video! :) I like. What is this music? I love it.

  • the music is "Enya, carribbean blue"

  • Hmm.. Nevzorov..

    He's a lil bit strange..

But he's got a unbelieveable relationship with his horses.. It's wonderful to see it.... <3

  • aaaaaw soo cute! :)

everyone shall treat their horses that way! :)<33

    thats awesome cute :)

  • this video is amazing to me, and makes me think more about my horse, and how you don't have to be cruel and work them so hard that so they look "good" or till they die so u can get another. horsemanship i think is the best way to do anything with a horse. just love them and treat them right.

  • one thing i don't get is the guy uses a whip on the horses and thats wat they call horsemanship watever and theyre is nuttin wrong with dressage and i do western and rarley do thet get hurt.so just watever that guy id just like every one esle that uses a whip so it makes no sense

  • 'uses a whip on the horses' i'm not sure what your idea of whip use is and god i dont want to know. A whip is just an extension of the arm, used in schooling and suchlike.. to cue the horse like when you lunge.. you never beat your horse with it, you use it to help guide and to cue your horse into what to do.

  • Awesome, I wish people would notice that rodep IS VERY VERY VERY Cruel!!

  • The rodeo horses are bred to do that. The bucking and everything. yes, some people do indeed need to work on there horsemanship. But your images come up few and far beteen. That's just how I feel about it.

  • 'bred' to do that?

    so why use the buckstrap?

and its the same matter of small thinking that years ago people thought 'black people were bred to be slaves' and whatknot.

  • Horses are livestock turned to pets, just like some cattle and hogs and such, but still they do get sold for meat. Yea slavery was wrong. DU! THe strap is put there to inhance the buck. Go ask a rodeo contracter if you could go saddle up one of the broncs, and ride them like a normal horse.

  • That wasnt´t dressage, that was abuse, a horses neck bent in like that in reins is nothing but wrong a result of fear and frustration. The freestyle part, much more pleasant to look at.. :D

  • *tear* best video I've ever seen. so well put together!!

  • Great vid! I love horses VERY much. I dont quite agree that dressage is cruel, but I can see where your coming from.

  • Loved the video, but some sort of riding isn't cruel. I don't agree in the dressage part neather. It is much "cruel" things in horsemanship too.

Like it said before, just do it right..

  • I dont know what do think, but i do know this. beating a horse is wrong. if a horse goes to bite, a quick slap on the shoulder, to me, is ok, but if not a fierce beating. a crop is okay if used only at the appropriate times. I use a crop when i need to reinforce an aid that Nevada isn't listening to. a bit, bridle and some martingales are okay, but make sure you use then properly. most importantly, praise goes farther then reprimanding a horse. spurs are not for beginner riders!!

  • also, i dont know about racing. the racehorses need to wait until they're older and more developed (bone-wise and mentally) then there would be less issues. but most racehorses are treated like kings! i just wish that there was a better soulution for when they retire

  • only the top few in the world are treated like kings, the others are horribly treated. Believe me, I live next to a racetrack...Oh, but I totally disagree about the rodeo stock being mistreated. They ARE bred for their buck! And they aren't cheap either! So, of course, we DO take care of our rodeo broncs!

  • I do think that abuse to a horse is cruel. Some people do have horses that dont even take care of them properly. With the dressage scene, and they are pulling the horses head too far, they should be usind a snaffle bridle instead. And y treat them bad when you can have a bond with the horse. some people dont get it nowa days.

  • You can take a look in google under Nevzorov Haute Ecole and you will find his hompage soon. From this hompage you can join the open forum and read a lot about his kind of work.

  • Can you give me his website please?

  • I don't agree on your veiws ecspecally your dressage part.

  • This video just give you a view in black and white, of curse there is a middle way. I ride dressage mu self, with a bit. Just do it right.

  • Love the song. I half disagree with your views, though. Although it is true that some people treat horses with absolute cruelty, others will treat them well. I believe most racing horses actually enjoy the thrill of the race, even though it might be exhausting to the point of pain. Rodeo might be fun for some horses too, they get to go all out on the rider and don't get punished for making them fall! Still, it is a nice video.

  • Most horses don't actually enjoy rodeo. They are basically forced to do it, as they don't have a choice. In most rodeos, the horse is abused just before it goes out into the arena, which is why it is in the small cage, most of the horses haven't been backed, and while they are waiting to go into the arena, they are slapped, punched, and elbowed wherever the "Team" can get to them. It really is cruel. Racing however, the horses aren't abused, they are trained.

  • Nice to see a video with a thought behind, after I seen so many bad "breaking in a horse" videos this morning.

    NHE-studen I take it?

  • Let me guess. Selling something?

  • What should i be selling??

  • please teach me..i want to teach me this?

  • Visit his website and join his school.

  • WOW! How wonderful and beautiful... A true horseman...I hope everyone can learn from you and realize that a true horseman does not need a bit or a tie down... He needs feel and the patience to develop a language with his partner...Most people are too lazy to take the time to earn the title of Horseman.. I respect you and what you do for horses... Thank you...

  • ALL the horses at the yard i ride at use a soft snaffle and all are happy being rode! just coz theres a bit dosent mean its mistreating them! all of us (at the yard) have a bond with a certen hors! but roedos are HORIBLLE!

  • wow...touching!!

i ride with a bit, but am always aware of how tightly i hold my horse. i really think its great what you're doing and more people should learn from this. your horses look healthy and most importantly...happy.

    keep up the gd work!!

  • Sooo right

  • hvad hedder sangen. whats the name of the song ?

  • den hedder carribean blue - med enya. :D

  • whats the name of the song ? Wille good video..

  • i think the vidoe is good, but how can u all say thats its creul to put a bit in? my horse is in no pain!.would that man in the vidoe hack out with no BRIDAL ?

  • yeah! once you get such a good communication, you can probably compete in XC without a bridle (Not that they would allow it) but any horse no matter how crazy can be taken out without a bit or bridle

  • Correct! It's just a matter of trust and harmony between rider and horse.

  • It's not cruel with a bit, only if you use in the wrong way, which is many!!. This video just show it in black and white. What im trying to say, is that it can be done without any kind of forcing materials, and still be extremely beautifull.

  • i can only sey I LOVE IT!!!

  • the indoor arena is outstanding!

  • this is a very good video

  • you have amazing pictures and its a great video :o)

  • very nice! The more videos that get out like this the less horses have to suffer trying to be "controled" by unnecessary devices.

  • Yes, the animal world can be so horrible. I don't get these people? How can you do this to a living creature!

  • Now you have to show us how to do these things via horsemanship as opposed to whatever way we aleady know. There are SO many Horsemans trianers out there now, how do we choose which one to use??

  • Choose the one you find right.

  • This is so amazing.I even think the horse'Gandalf'was riding in LOTR,was Parelli trained.Shadowfax.

  • StingDrift: No, he was trained by this chick: you can look her up on youtube. She is really weird acting, but has a form of her own NH.

  • It is not so simple as you are putting it... Yes I look up to Nevzorov and others like him too, but be honest: How many people is able of doing such things with horses? There is a middle way, I suppose...

  • Yes of curse. It's few who can do these thing with a hors.e, but i only made this video so you could see that i was possible. And i have wrote earlier, that this was a video with the BAD and the AMAZING way. I really admire him to make this website, to make it possible to us to learn it. I have a profile in there, and there's many people who is on the right way to learn, really many. He and his people are great to advice them in there.

  • EVERYONE IS ABLE FOR THAT!! One just must leave behind all his egoism and wish for self-approvement which he shows when putting bit into the horse mouth and so taking control over these magnificent creatures with the help of the easiest way - pain(little or great, but pain)

One must learnto respect horse and leave ever FARTHER behind the wish to USE it for sport, jumpings and dressage...

  • why can´t I answer???

  • Thanks everybody :D

  • fantastic, amazing man would love to make contact

  • fantastic. i use pareeli with my horse, but this man is amazing, how can we get in contact with him

  • That was amazing, and breathtaking! Where are they doing that bridleless dressage? Another reason why the psychology works. Its so much cooler to have a horse ask you,"Do you want this? Or how bout this, or "I can do this too!" ITs an amzing feeling.

  • They do it all over the world, but mainly in russia where it all started by a man named Alex Nevzorova i mean :D

  • Great video, it really changes my thoughts....

  • Great video, it really changes my thoughts....

  • Simply Amazing.

Wonderful pictures, music fits perfect with them.

May i ask where the pictures came from?

  • awesome video

  • I like this video a lot because it contrasts the difference between "regular" training and natural horsemanship. They are different. Horses trained the natural way, I find, are much much happier. PS (this only applies to people who think natural horsemanship is a waste of time) there's a reason they call it NATURAL horsemanship... You are using (if done correctly) Methods that are natural to the horse. Physically and mentally.

  • i love this vid, u have a wonderful point, and the pics of the dressage that position does look painful., i couldnt make my horse do that he has done dressage and carrys his head nicely by himself most of the time i dnt have 2 do a thing.

great vid keep up the wonderful work.

  • anyone know the name of this trainer?

  • Wow...

I'm imperessed by your video... It's beautyful to see how pleased the horses are...

    amazing... <3

  • About this Video you can thinking...

  • Nice video. Thanks!

  • what a beautiful video.

(i posted the link on the IH site).

This is what being around horses is all about and the relationship we wish we could achieve.

    Irene

  • I don't think the author of the video means to say that all classic training methods or that all dressage is cruel. In all of the dressage pictures, the horses' heads are pulled into a position called rollkur, which many veterinarians deplore as being particularly painful and dangerous for the horse's health in the long run.

Thank you for the video... beautifully done.

  • Thank you. Thats exactly what m trying to say. I dont have anything against dressage, just do it right.

  • Nevzorov is fantastic and he teaches Haute Ecole better, MUCH better than it is done in dressage. Without any bit, always. Bravo!!

  • i will def us nayural horsemanship

but you cant do that with school horses cuz they need to be able to get into riding straight away with a stranger but absolutely nothing wrong with dresage. . .horses have fun riding too

and they r treated nicely behind thhe scenes....both forms of Riding are normal and great...whips and spurs are necessary for school horses its just the way it is

  • but when i am old enough to own a horse ill use pat perelli definately...i like the vid im just a bit disturbed you think dressage is cruel

  • but it IS cruel! And it's not that somebody whats to think so, it IS really (and awfully) cruel, but sportsmen and other ignorent people prefer to hide its consiquances for horse's health and say that they "love" horses... want to argue about that, argue. But reading some scientific things about the link horse anatomy-horse sport will break you down. Anyway.

  • No i do not think dressage is rong. I do it myself. But nowadays you see many dressage riders do it all rong, just to look good. You have to do it completely right, before i like so watch it. But this video is kinda like black and white. The bad way, and the amazing way. There are ways to ride dressage between these two ways. Just do it right, so its also fun for the horse :D But is still think that rodeo and horse racing is cruelty! Maybe its just me, but thats my oppinion.:D

  • I agree buck-jumping is cruel, so is racing. the horses are pushed to their limits with no regard for their health untill they're successful. 9 out of 10 yearlings break down in this intensive training and are destroyed. As for thinking dressage is cruel, If u look closer you will notice that all the horses doing dressage in the grey are being worked in rollkur, this is where the horse is worked grossly hyperflexed and does serious damage to their 3rd vertebrae.

  • I would never force my horse to work in a rollkur. It's just so rong this rollkur.

  • I like ur vid. But I dont like the "old way" or a different way to teach being called cruel. Yes some sports in the horse world dont make Any sense. but horses don't go thro pain with a bit or a spur yet who uses them. :)

  • This video is rearly good. The harmony between the man and his horses is fantstic. and the musik is exelent, too.

  • This video is perfect. It all comes down to time, feel, respect and love. This is true harmony, working as one with your horse without any bridle and bit connecting you. Those things aren't needed, and one should never need them. They are't what control your horse.

The mind - time and feel... control of the feet/movement.

  • Racing is wrong because you are pushing horses who are not physically matur beyond the limits of what nature allows. Thus creating so many injuries.

  • i dont see what is wrong with racing and just plain riding the gores. i doesnt hurt them. i dont know what ur doing but making them sit down can hurt even worse. their is nothing wrong with riding it doesnt hurt them, even the most famous people rode horses!!!! so ummm....

  • There is nothing rong with horse racing i find that afencif bcuz i am selling my horse when i am 16 and moving to doncaster on my own to a racing colage and working on a racing stables and hopfully become a joky it isnt crule !

  • You have your appenion, and i have mine. I will not argue with you. If you dont like my move, then dont watch it.

  • This video is perfect. I want the relationship with my horse like he has with his! It doesn't mean you can't do dressage, hunter jumper, you just do your event with mutual respect..human respects and trusts horse...horse respects and trusts human. No need to pull, yank or tie down. Nice video

  • Thanks. I dont say that yo cant ride dressage and jumping. I mean that you just have to do it with respect for the horse, and without any kind of harming methods. But i cant stand rodeo and horse racing.

  • ALL RONG RONG RONG RONG RONG RONG U PROBLII CARNT RIDE REALE RIDERS DO EVERYTHINK BY SKILL THIS ISNT RIDING AT ALL !

the way PROPER riders ride is beta than eny of this crap if u want somthing 2 sit and put its hoof in ur hand GET A BASTERD DOG ! a horse is breed for dressage/ jumping enyfink but this u need 2 get stuff right b4 making a video witch isnt rite
