Yes ...i was aware of this but was alluding to the fact that they were or are the same thing! Not same company! I think the Traps kit has evolved a fair way from the Purcussion kit ...but they were great for what they were used for!
I was using an early Traps kit " Purecussion : in my kids show and we had them mic'd up and let me tell you ....they sounded insane...so many club in house sound guys were blown away when they heard them micd up!...they sound like a micd Roto tom but have more of a slap than roto toms ....
Well the Middlesbrough Jazz & Blues decided to buy a set of these A400 Traps new, their was no instructions on how to assemble them which was a bit annoying, but it did'nt take to long to assemble them with a few screws and other bits left other, no idea what they are for, probably a manual would have explained??? I don't think the our two drummer tightened them up properly as stuff kept moving around which was quite funny. I must say though the sound of the kit is really good and compact :-)
erm, very quick, it depends how much you want to take apart, we just fold the drums down and throw them in the car, I guess that would take 2 minutes at the most
Right cheers for the info. My Jazz Orchestra decided to go ahead and buy a set, can you reccomend a decent supplier in the North East, Middlesbrough area.

Whats the build/break down time like with the Traps A400? I read they take a long time to assemble. They do however sound very convincing.

Wait? Why is that a rip off? Prices change because of different currencies.
Unless you mean the drums aren't good. They seem like a very reasonable price to me though.

It is as loud, some people gig with these as they are so easy to carry.

is this kit quiet or like loud as a normal kit?
GibsonLesPaul93 3 years ago
It's not as loud. Unless you are going to mic the kit. I played on one with a two acoustic guitars and an acoustic bass and was muffled a bit.
But if you mic these they are fine lol.
