He breaks the T-virus capsules to destroy all evidences from his work: Release the virus on the City. (naturally he wont think that clearly, as he is driven by his own work.)

@TheGoldenEyedboy The T-virus turns humans into zombies, the zombies if wounded will mutate into crimsom heads and then maybe into a licker, the T veronica virus was created combining the T virus with a queen ant specimen it can create different mutations depending on it's host usually blood will turn into fire when it touches oxigen but unlike the T virus the person brain can still work, the G virus is a combination of the nemesis parasite and T virus it makes the person mutate without control.

Birkin lost all control of his humanity the moment that he injected himself with the virus. Sherry shares DNA with Birkin's original (human) form, therefore Birkin wants to hunt her down and implant his offspring into her.

However this isn't a conscious thought by Birkin; it's merely the primal instincts of the G-Virus.

HUNK is the codename of one of the Umbrella Special Forces members who was sent to retrieve the G-Virus from Birkin. He was the one commanding the team. Not all of them are HUNK Only one of them is. Almost nothing is known about him besides the fact that he is cold-blooded mercenary who was trained at the Rockfort island training facility, he only looks out for himself, and puts a mission first before anything else.

He survived because Birkin didn't kill him. It isn't shown in this game, but apparently The Darkside Chronicles shows that Birkin punches him and he lays unconcious for however many hours. There is a mini-game in Resident Evil 2 called The 4th Survivor that starts with HUNK waking up in the underground lab after his team was killed, and you basically play his entire escape.

William wasn't a threat to them, at least not before he injected himself with the G-Virus. H.U.N.K. didn't even want to kill Birkin. His partner got trigger-happy and H.U.N.K. tried to stop him because he might have hit the sample. Plus, they didn't know William was going to inject himself. More than likely They had no idea what the G-Virus was, they were just tasked with retrieving it.

They had Birkin outnumbered, were wearing bullet proof body armor, were trained mercenaries, and had MP5s. I don't think a single scientist with a 9MM was that much of a threat to them. Well, I don't know for sure if they were ordered to kill Birkin as well, or not. We just know they were ordered to retrieve the G-Virus from him. H.U.N.K. may have killed Birkin after he handed them the virus over (which he obviously didn't intend to do).

Checking to see if Birkin was actually dead or not wasn't their primary concern. Their main mission was to retrieve the virus. I don't think it mattered whether Birkin was actually dead or not. Nevertheless, they critically wounded him. He would have bled out had he not injected himself with the virus, which they probably didn't anticipate him to do. More than likely they didn't even know what the G-Virus was even capable of. They were just tasked with retrieving it.

@TheScorpionMK37 in darkside chronicles its show that he wasn´t slashed but punched, also you never see him with scars in his minigame, its kinda similar to barry in resident evil 1, when tyrant attacks him you can see blood, but he wasn´t injured, in the remake they fixed to be a punch.

He didn't get slashed. Only 3 of the 4 U.S.S members were shown to be killed. H.U.N.K. actually managed to escape with a G-Virus sample (which wasn't shown in the cutscene). There is a mini-game in Resident Evil 2 called "The 4th Survivor" which allows you to play H.U.N.K.'s acutal escape. Apparently, The Darkside Chronicles shows that was punched and incapacitated by William being unconscious for an unknown amount of time.

...G involves no parasite, it was a virus. The reason they didn't use G so much is because it continually mutated the subjects with no control at all over them.

Well, i used a little reasoning for this: Umbrella tested the effects of Parasite control (NE-α parasite) on Lisa Trevor, and found out she absorbed the parasite into her system, which - even though she did get stronger - did not help much in the ways of controlling her.

This is probably one of reasons they ditched G, because any creature admitted with this parasite would only grow stronger and smarter, but further out of control.

So technically, i just repeated what you said :p
