I truly envy you! I never saw a living one that close! how does their fur feel? is it really silky or more like a dog's? and do they have the same strong smell as sloths or do they scent little?
...Uh, why all the hate comments, people? This video was uploaded to share with all of us knowledge about the animal, and its cuteness. They weren't doing anything wrong. They put the little guy back where they found him, and were only observing.
its ridiculous how you people argue over petty things and have nothing better to do then insult one another. its not were your from that makes u better then some one else. its your attitude . so lighten up! he didn't hurt the animal. lets aim our anger at people who hunt for trophy and sport.
great video. very unique animal. i saw a video similar to this one on discovery channel
I hope your break your neck when you fall of the tree while trying to get him down. They are fine where they are, they dont need you touching them and messing with them...
@falycegu I don't know what a "gringoo" is, but I certainly have a lot of respect for animals in general. Specifically, I would love to clean this planet of ignorant chumps (like you) whose pathetic and flamboyant lives are consuming the very resources necessary to propagate their species.
@vitekjc btw, Gringo is latin slang for Americans ( north americans, to be precise) It's a compound word, as you people call it. Grin= Green, the color of the U.S. army uniform. and go is literary go, as in get the hell out. The reason Hispanics, in particular Caribbean Hispanics use this term is because back in the day when your founding fathers invaded the islands we knew little to no English. We knew colors and certain verbs.
@vitekjc As years went by the word still is in use sorta how you people address us as "Spics". A word that is often use to make fun of our accent when we speak your lazy language. Just a little knowledge to clarify your ignorant, lazy, Gringo brain.
Riiiiiight. Look at the living conditions in Central and South America, and then look at the living conditions in North America and Western Europe. Yeah, fuck you.
@vitekjc The simple fact that you pulled that animal down from his habitat and by doing that you risked his life by exposing him to your filthy germs by placing it in your friends sweaty t-shirt and your (most likely) full of mosquito repellent DDT skin makes the comment/criticism above more than accurate even if "gringo" was not spelled correct. Sir, you are an arrogant ignoramus and you don't have to be from the USA to be and behave like a "gringo."
@ramqx28 DDT is an insecticide. I think you meant "DEET," which by the way was not on my shirt. That's why I wear long-sleeves. Although your comment is a reflection of your obnoxious personality, I believe it comes from a legitimate concern for the animal. I salute to that.
@vitekjc obnoxious personality?? looks who is still in denial and keeps excusing his imbecile behavior. What you did sir was wrong and period. Is not a question of loving animals, because I am sure you do. The problem is when you think that because you love animals you have the right of pulling them out of their habitat, invade their space and risk their lives. Again, you did behave like a "gringo." Just don't do it again and enjoy wildlife like it should be... from a distance.
I invite you guys, to watch my Tamandua videos, i have a Baby Tamandua born in my house!! i hope you like it, this video really rocks!! I hope some day i can travel to Tortuguero

pretty nice way of interacting with an animal, from a stick to you, allowing both parties to interact in a mutual setting :)

Wild creatures are not meant for human's
entertainment. Hands off Mother Nature's
beings.

Yeah because they were totally abusing it...
Humans can't just live in a glass dome without other creatures. There's nothing wrong with touching nature.
Grow up.

I know their best off in the wild but I would love to have one of those walking around the house. They look so gentle.

Of course, I would not get too close to
its face though. :-D

The little thing was scared at first and got
in the defense mode with its little paws up.
It relaxed when it found out you were not
going to hurt it. One of the cutest animals
in the world.
