i think that stevens hit on kariya is was dirty and a really bad hit, kariya passed the puck and wasn't a part of the situation any longer! i think that stevens did many dirty hits were he charged the opponent and jumped up!

I love how every stevens hit the first thing is it was a clean hit before the play even comes to a stop........................st­evens hit on francis he left his fett 6 inches to get his shoulder in to his face.............thats boarding folks against the boards. The hit on karyia was interference clearly he passed the puc took 2 streides then was walloped. He had clear oppurtunity to injur and took full advantage...........means hes dirty!

Scott Stevens is one of the dirtiest players in the history of the NHL. Everyone says his hits were clean, but even though he hits the correct way he purposefully aims those hits for the head. He has literally ended players career because of hits to the head (Shane Willis for an example). I don't know how this guy gets so much respect.

In terms of the impact it had on the players involved, I agree. Stevens on Kariya was a much harder hit, but in terms of how it affects careers you are 100% right.
