Can someone please tell me what type of rats they used in this film?? i mean they look a bit like(rattus norvegicus) the brown rat! but there face,s are not as cute and there noses are different,and you cant get a brown rat with red eyes! i know they are not the black rat(rattus rattus)either! i have pet rats(norvegicus) and this has been bugging me for years!

@jonrg77 According to an interview with the director(done more than 20 years after the movie was made) they are ginnea pigs. But that must be a miss translation cause they dont look like it. But its surely some other rodent than a rat.

What's fucked up is that the dubbing in this trailer is worse than in the movie itself, the dialogue is placed at the wrong times (Drop the guns Kirk!) and some lines are repeated unnecessarily, despite the fact that they are not repeated in the movie (e.g. "That is an order, that is an order!!!!). Honestly, this is a childhood classic of mine, I think it's great. The music score is extremely eerie and effective, somebrilliant ideas (the sleeping bag scene....) and one awesome, random ending.

I just bought and watched Rats and I will have to watch again. For all it's flaws, I just loved this movie, it's bonkers, keep throwing those Rats! All hail Bruno Mattei.

Yeah, I've never gotten the title in the trailer... I remember getting the DVD when I was going into 5th grade (Ah... 2002.) and thinking 'What the hell?' at that trailer title.... makes no sense, ha ha.

These old horror cult movies , was very funny when you saw them sometimes.

The actor doesn't moves and pretends he will get killed by rats.

Is impossible to be killed by rats , even if there are thousands , even hundreds of rats climb on you , is very easy to repel them and not get killed. Or just run.

The actors act like apish :P and wait to get killed , just to accomplish

the scene of the movie.

Haha --- another horror movie about rats-killers. It was 1st really not bad horror movie about rats.

Anyway I prefer Rats (2003) and The Rats (TV, 2002).

It was released as Blood Kill in the USA when it came out for some reason; the real title as the DVD has it as is "Rats: Night of Terror" and no, I have no idea why it was made

They actually released it theatrically under that title? Wow. Cool, didn't know that.... I figured it was always called 'Rats' in the US (If I recall right, the Vestron VHS is simply called 'Rats' on the title card)
