So if you want your stuff not to get copybotted/opensourced then dont give out copy objects. But you will still be creator of the object. So... I tried to use copybot, its not really nice to steal the content of other users. I agree ,but some creators are way over the top with there pricing. I can imagine ppl do it. Thats why never ever rezz cars and such in world. And iff you do (store) just make sure the textures are raped in a way the have to much work to fix it (demo stamps ectra)
I admit i use for PERSONAL use a program to rip textures out of sim (entire) its easy to do that and its cool to build using them. Not for resell tho.

Oh... And there is acualy a bug in second life that makes gives the owner fullperms on the item. It is when you have a copyable object... No need to explain cuz exploit. So if you want your stuff not to get copybotted/opensourced then dont give out copy objects. But you will still be creator of the object. So... But thats realy all i can say without having ppl doing it to evrything copyable and nomod notrans.

I dont like copybotting so my way of avoiding my stuff from getting copybotted is to make it a freebie and or i do custom builds and they get full perms for a 1 time payment. For evry build. And then they have the responsebilety of it so they are to blame if its copybotted. And the freebies... Who wants to copybot a freebie? That already have fullperms? I tried to use copybot, its not really nice to steal the content of other users. I agree ,but some creators are way over the top with there pricing. I can imagine ppl do it. Thats why never ever rezz cars and such in world. And iff you do (store) just make sure the textures are raped in a way the have to much work to fix it (demo stamps ectra)
I admit i use for PERSONAL use a program to rip textures out of sim (entire) its easy to do that and its cool to build using them. Not for resell tho.

Second Life Copybot. But dont try to use it. People are using a script that will auto report u when u use a copybot. Once you drop the item, it will auto delete and report you for hacking.

It harms the creator if more than one person does it. Plus maybe you would not copybot an item for sale but other people would. One store i know closed down because someone copybotted their vendor and everyone started getting their merchandise for free.

Wrong. Image you build something and put in it your store. Person A enteres the store and want to have the object but he can not afford it and can not buy it because of that. This personen uses a copybot now to copy your object and has fun with it afterwards. Does it harms you? NO. You would not get money anyway and as long as they dont share it or add it to freebie collections you would not even notice, that the person copied your primwork

Then they go out and rip off whatever shit they want. After that, they take all their loot and kick it out of the alt's inventory and onto their hard drive. They then cancel that alt's account. Within minutes all of the evidence is gone before Linden ever has a chance to respond to a complaint of a possible stolen item.
