Ear cropping is perfectly humane if done by a Vet under anesthesia and well cared for. A good ear crop is a beautiful thing. However they are very human friendly and can be left alone with a human they trust or know. All pits will fight if they feel they have to just like all other animals. But more people die via attacks from other dog breeds than pits. Only 3/2000 people are attacked and killed by pits. A golden retriever is more dangerous.
