  • BUONA NOTTE NOTTE, BUONA NOTTE LUNA,......

  • This film really made an impression on me when it came out. It is gorgeous and the music is breathtaking. Another recent film that has the same deep, touching quality to it but without music, unfortunately, is the Swedish film "Let the Right One In."

  • i dont need drugs. this is my high

  • An absolutely hauntingly beautiful melancholy song.... saccharin, Mr. Blaylock would say. Yes, I think this is a great version, so lilting. The movie is a Classic, this piece of music is a classic.. and ever since I saw this movie for the first time it gave me a new found appreciation for it.. it became one of my favorites.

  • I was having the same kind of moment and came here looking for this. Thank you!

  • This has always been one of my favorite songs and movies. It helps that not just being a great movie, the Hunger was the first movie to really look at vampirism as a disease.

  • Who is performing the piece?

  • Love Schubert's work, simple notes, but such emotion behind it. And I believe this was the first time i've ever seen a boob on youtube.. 1:39... ughhh yea um great music great music.. =)

  • 5:20 Bowie asks for "forever and ever"

  • Brilliant piece of music, brilliant film, and nicely mixed.

  • What movie is this?:-) Please, tell me. Thank you in advance!

  • Awesome! Love it! Thanks for posting.

  • This is now in the re-make of the 1972 classic "The Mechanic"....glad to find it here.

  • Great movie and soundtrack, thanks :)

  • that was pretty cool

  • Most versions I hear of this are too fast and choppy. I think this rendition gets it right. Slow and fluid.

  • @newcoyote Exactly. It's beautiful and rather haunting..

  • ..momento superbo

  • I love this movie because it has Deneuve in it, that was why I 1st saw it, than the music caught me forever and it's simple perfection for me. thanx for posting

  • I love this song so much! And it's one of my favorite films too. Thanks for uploading!

  • AAAA. 221651Z OCT 2010 Very nice indeed, thank you for posting.......AR.

  • Pelicula de culto

  • this version is definitely my fave. other versions ive heard have mostly been with a slightly faster tempo, and dont seem to crate quite the same mood this one does. <3 <3 <3

  • Beethoven is better than Schubert.

  • @Trickroad they are different persons. Different times, composers etc etc

  • love this movie and its music

  • Thanks ! :0)

    A 1000 % fetish movie 4 me .

    Top 10 here .

Saw it many many many times ... and will again

    and Bauhaus ' s '' Bela Lugosi ' s Dead ''

  • lovely

  • love it

  • atmosfearic you are 'right on' you know. If losers like zanniroc doesn't like the music, why would he bother logging on and commenting? I think the Trio in E flat is hauntingly beautiful and goes superbly with the film. Thanks for posting.

  • bardzo fajne

  • When I was really young I watched goose bumps, and theres an episode where a girl is neighbours with a ghost, but it turns out that she's the ghost and she gets trapped in this house and play a song on the piano so someone will hear her. the snippet of that song has been stuck in my head for years. and I just found it =) THANK YOU!

  • great movie ... all simply perfect!

  • If you hate it you moron why the hell did you even bother looking up the song.

Apart from people who dont know how to appreciate music, I absolutely love this song.

  • beautiful,thank you,love this movie

  • Thanks, everyone, for commenting on this. Were it not for you all, I wouldn't have found out (after almost THIRTY YEARS!) that the Hunger soundtrack is the only version of the Op. 100 that is arranged like this. I'm only an occasional classical listener, so you saved hours on Amazon. Thanks. Also, like the film or not, the soundtrack is the BOMB.

  • @marginallymental Found that out from experiance, this piece was my first true apreciation of chamber music and still brings tears.

  • hate it

  • because? maybe u just can't hear the music? it tells me u need help!

  • @zanniroc music or film?

  • I can't get it out of my head either. Hauntingly great soundtrack. This is my favorite piece.

  • Nice transition at 1:15

  • @mike29571 very nice observation, that point always fills me

  • Amazing: this is the most beatiful and reflective version of Schubert's Op.100 I've ever heard. Google finds the background details at the Howard Blake official website: "arranged by Howard Blake, played by Ralph Holmes, Raphael Wallfisch and Howard Shelley"

  • @topsamite I totally agree. When I hear this version it touch something very deep in me.

  • to all: this is the Scubert Piano Trio in E-flat opus 100. It is hauntingly beautiul. Though you will never hear a rendition such as this anywhere alse but on the Hunger soundtrack, as I classical musician I like it very much.

  • hi,

i have the hunger cd soundtrack and this piece is credited to chopin. can any body confirm either/or?

    thanks

ps-one of my favorite pieces of music ever...

  • It is not Chopin. It is Franz Schubert; the trio in E-flat, opus 100

  • fabulous piece.. I´been searching for it for a long time.. is more slow than the original piece and is even better.. can anyone tell who´s playing? thanks.

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!! I'm totally crazy about this movie AND this piece of music!!! Have been looking for it for years...You so made me a happier person!!

  • Thanks, this song and others from The Hunger have haunted me since I first saw it in the 80's.

  • Thank you for sharing. It's lovely. (so is the movie)

  • a slower version than usual... not a bad idea. Who is playing?
