I am from australia an know nothing about nhl rules. Why do the refs let them fight?

if that happend in a footy match they would get suspended for a month from the games.

@MrJobro1 Hockey's just more accepting of "venting". Some say if they let them fight, they don't take their anger out in a bad way, ie. chopping somebody's head open with a stick. In Europe, bad stickplay is more prevalent and fighting tends to be banned in some leagues. Tough guys and enforcers, who make their money playing physical, are in the game to bring energy, protect their teammates, and intimidate the opposition.

Not worth the game suspension and a fine to the coach. The NHL need to change their 'fights in the last 5 minute' rule. Doesn't seem fair. Either way this is a decent fight. Close call but I'm going with Glass on this one.
