What car should I choose for this occasion. I was thinking a 911 gt3 but would that get too much attention? Would people be less likely to call it if I was in a corvette ZR1? (esp. in states like Missouri and Oklahoma).
Driving truck for seven years has taught me what to do to not get pulled over. And this would be the most challenging part... evading the bears (state police), One thing I've noticed is that they tend not to try very hard to hide. So if you keep your eyes peeled and slow around blind corners and hills you can speed all day and not get caught.
Also, don't piss off other drivers. Everyone has a cell. If you're driving a 911 like a drunk dick, they'll be dialing 911 before you can say "turbo!"
I decided I should give the cannonball run a try. It doesn't seem too difficult to beat the record 31 hours and 4 minutes. Driving for 30 hours straight would be a little taxing but as an OTR trucker, I've pulled 15 straight, no chaser. The other 15 wouldn't be so bad if I had company and a lot of caffeine. Being a trucker would keep me from becoming sore but the suspension in a sports car might take a toll.
"Safety" issues, they don't have bumpers, and i guess for a car to be certified they have to have 'em...all the pieces on TVR's are custom molded composities, so they can't exactly just throw a bumper on there, it'll ruin the look of the car, which is why they're unique

The Cannonball Run was a movie starring burt reynolds about a massive car race across country. so "cannonball run" is a reference to an illegal car race across long distances i guess.
