I remember these days hoax 1 and hoax 2. I remember not even having aggressive inline skates out yet taking out one of my middle wheels and grinding(front side) couldnt even soul grind because there wasnt enough room on the side of my first skates and then came the Tarmacs and Chris Edwards and Arlo Eisenberg ruled the scene. Then the first aggro clothing/gear line came out Senate, 976, Pleasure Tools. I hung out in Rapid Revolutions in Dallas(Arlos starting grounds) these were great times
inline should try to convince espn to let them compete in a mega ramp type event at X-games, It would be crazy to see how much air the Yasutoko Brothers could get!
i do miss these days but if you really think about it can you imagine what would have happened if rollerblading would have been mainstream and stayed that way? rollerblading would be nothing like it is now and im thankful its so underground. it makes rollerbladers and rollerblading unique and extrodinary. something youre just happy to be a part of.
no doubt man, the only reason rollin has such a bad rep is because it came out mainstream way to early. anybody will admit rollin looked corny as fuck in the 90's, even tho those were the golden days. but i bet we'll be back in the x games in the next couple years. even tho we started that shit! im not saying that it would or wouldnt be better if it goes mainstream, but if it does people will shit there selves.
That would be nice man! I still rock my Senate Cargo jeans for the sake of the memories of skating when I was a kid. It's also unique it's still underground and alive all over the world though.
Thats angie the owner of daily bread. There two of the smart people who ever was in the rollerblading business. Arlo and Angie. They should have married each other.
ooh lordie does this take me back to the good old days. i remember spending the summer's in sunny canada, training my little heart out to be an extreme blader. every morning, pep pep would wake me around 8, and make me stand naked in the shower wearing nothing but my blades. pep pep told me it was to learn balance, but i know he just loved my blumpkin style. i don't blame him, back then i was a star.
those were the days. i wonder if arlo is in the market for maybe a nice cincinatti bowtie?
damn right , the good old days how i miss them , i qualified for the german vert championships back in 97 that whas me prime , then they tore down the skatepark nere my house =( that was that for blading =( damn how i miss those days

how did it happen that rollerblading got drop from the x games?
was it just because of the anti rollerblading propaganda?
