the LS 400 was nothing but Pure Value when it came out....Base Models started around 35 K and didn't increase much from that,lower than alot of others out at the time,these cars often last way past 250,000 Miles with regular maintenence......All of the Early Lexus Vehicles from 1990-2001 are my Favorite ones....even though the new ones are quite nice they are abit too fancy and technological for my tastes lol.

But if you put chrome 22"s or something on them they just don't look classy; you just look like a wannabe who could only afford a Lexus if it was 20 years old, but still wasted money on stupid rims (instead of saving for when your air suspension or power steering fails).

They should check consumer reports to determine if the vehicle they are looking at has a low cost of maintenance. I personally recommend the Toyota Corolla. With sensible transportation that does not sap their wallet, they can work hard and move out of the ghetto. A poor vehicle choice for somebody in the ghetto is a 15 year old Lexus with expensive maintenance costs and $3,000 wheels.

@Punjabijatt22 I actually love this car and have owned one in the past. I can say first hand that the build quality of the 1994 Lexus LS400 was perfect. Great materials inside too. We paid $30,000 for it in 1996, and it was a pretty great value for money. Lexus is a much smarter buy than a Mercedes, which actually does have shabby build quality. Lexus and Toyotas are some of the best built cars in the world. This parody is just about the kind of people who buy the car today with bad bling taste.

LOL...this is a funny video and yeah....it's sad to see such a great car reduced to trash these days.

When they were new they were for the elite and so much work went into them. All LS400s had 6 coats of paint, UV light blocking glass, PhD sound engineer designed audio systems that were different if the car had leather vs cloth, etc...

You do still rarely see a frist gen LS that is completely stock and like new. Those still look better than most new cars on the road some 20 years later.

Yes anyone can put shitty chrome wheels on an older luxury car. the point here is that proportionally speaking, the low value ls series lexus is the most popular in this set, and the least exensive (suprise) when compared to BMW and MB.
