I find it somewhat amusing that they protest every single video dealing with 'the ocean' in Canada. This video is about a giant squid that was found, not the sealing/fishing industry.
There's nothing worse than a protester who believes others are listening to propaganda. What do they think your group is telling you, gospel? What a joke. Insults don't make your points any more valid either, it just makes you come across as a pompous ass. 20 yr old kid knows nothing about the people they insult. The seals don't "overpopulate". That's your mafia DFO propaganda. There is something called an ecological balance without humans and seals have been around for millions of years. What you are doing is criminal and upsets that balance. The original seal population was 40 million when the settlers arrived, and the seas were brimming with cod. Guess what? You exterminated the cod and they never recovered. The seals are now at 3 million and since they eat predators of cod the cod will never recover.
the canadian seal hunt has been given the label "humane" my multiple animal rights organizations, and actually promotes the growth of an endangered species, the Atlantic cod. there is more inhumane treatment going on in the factory farm you are getting your supper tonight from then there will ever be on the ice flows of Labrador.

It was a cruel bloodbath with mothers crying for their chipped up pups on the ice and seals being skinned alive. I suspect you know very well this was not for survival of a a few eskimos.

i suggest you get your head out of your ass, and research things yourself, instead of listening to everything ill-advised celebrities attach themselves too. the "cute widdle seals" are doing just fine, and are overpopulated even with the annual seal hunt. there has been NO recorded evidence of a seal being skinned alive, that idea itsself was made up by peta, and seal pups are illegal to hunt, and have been for over a decade, so your entire post about chipped up pups is void.

yor right i live in northern Newfoundland where most everyone hunts for seals, and they are killed as quick and painless as possible. Why are people angry about seal hunting anyway.... theres alot else people could be doing with their time like helping the needy or somehting. So im glad to see someone stand up for us thanks.
Giant squids are awesome, but some of their features are a bit hazardous to themselves. For example, their brain is shaped like a donut and their throat goes through the hole. If the squid swallowed something sharp, it could pierce its brain and it would die.
It always struct me funny how this squid landed on a table at a campus of Academy Canada! I hope it ended up in a true research facility soon after this film was taken!
