Yes, I know exactly what you mean. This interviewer taps right on that at 7:32. There's always the possibility that Watson wants Global Warming to exist so much that it affects his judgement just like one of Freud's reasons of why people tend believe in God.

Any positive statement in science must be falsifiable, or it isn't science. So I would have asked this warmist what evidence would it take for him to stop believing in AGW. That's the reason there isn't such a thing as settled science, everything must be falsifiable by some conceivable evidence or it is just an opinion or faith. Just to save some time, saying that AGW is not true is not a positive statement, so there doesn't need to be a way to falsify it. Sorry.

Interesting that evidence shows that due to colder temps in the last few years in Florida coral reef damage has and continues to occur! Again, it's due to COOLER temps that the damage is being done! Global warming? maybe but not recently!

The description doesn't make any sense either, as they agreed on there were a few lines of a document 6000 pages long that are wrong. It's hardly seems to be "unraveling."

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. This interviewer taps right on that at 7:32. There's always the possibility that Watson wants Global Warming to exist so much that it affects his judgement just like one of Freud's reasons of why people tend believe in God.
But, I don't think I'm taking a leap of faith by saying people should listen to Watson because he is an established and respected scientist. To me, he really seems dedicated towards presenting "good" science based on empirical evidence.

You're right sandbreak2 GW is real - but AGW is not. I'm all for green technology and clean water. I was on the green team at work that made our building green when it was constructed. But I'm also interested in science and facts not politics and alarmism. The climate has always been changing. What is happening now is nothing out of the ordinary.

We should all be "Green" when it comes to the environment but we should stop short of shackling our business economy to gain these goals when it is not proven.

Conservative political parties all around the world should be calling for commissions of inquiry into the AGW scam. That would resonate with the voters too. These 'scientists' who cooked the programming and the data need to have their assets confiscated and be put behind bars. Was acid rain bullshit? It has been caused mainly by emissions containing ammonia, carbon, nitrogen & sulfur since the Industrial Revolution. @WuzzaDemIgnoramus The interviewer did ask some good questions that I think the "deniers" would have liked to ask themselves. Note also how Watson replied to all of them in a temperate, informed, and respectful way.
What bothers me are the implications that politicians should listen to someone else besides the experts. It seems obvious that if one expert falls under suspicion, you go to another expert - not to a passionate layman. If you don't like one doctor's advice, you go to another, no?

I think most scientists don't want politics, they just want to do their research
And they also get their grant money from Gov, so even if they disagree with the "consensus", there is a tendency to not "rock the boat", they risk loosing their grant money
And remember, this is what they live on, this how they pay their bills, this is how they take care of their kids
The Gov has the power to kick them to the curb if they disagree, and that is how easy it is for Gov to co-op science

He states that the IPCC report is"absolutely peer reviewed and approved by 40 governments" and yet all these "peer reviewed" mistakes keep popping up with increasing frequency. It certainly devalues the creditability of the "peer review" process doesn't it? And the dog accidentally ate the original data so we can't repeat their findings. It's frustrating to see it continually stated when any idiot, just by using Google can find a wealth of dissenting science. Why do global warming proponents want us to stop debating this issue?
