I'm rooting for Archuleta, and I am a 44 year old male. I dont even like pop music!! I listen to the originals of the songs that Archuleta covers, and I always prefer Archuleta's. He has a voice that touches the soul. Simple as that.
I am one who thought Syesha was the best of the girls, hands down, from the beginning. She has more control of her voice and more different textures than any of the contestants except maybe Chikezie.
I definitely agree that Jason and Brooke have been good for Idol. I hope to see more contestants in the future who understate the vocals rather than screaming and howling like Carly.
One more thing-you guys have mentioned throughout the show that David Cook takes these "risks" by doing rock covers of non-rock songs on the show. Do you know that several of his songs have actually been covers of original songs? These included Billy Jean (Chris Cornell did the original rock cover), Day Tripper (Whitesnake), and Eleanor Rigby (Seattle band Doxocology). He gave the latter credit on the next show, but it irks me that he never gave the other two credit but took credit for himself.
Also, I don't think it's fair to say that David A has just a "tween" base. I'm 26 and I would love to hear him on an album. His wonderfully pure voice, as you put it, is something I could listen to all day. David Cook, on the other hand is someone I could only take in doses.
I don't think-or want-David Cook, to win. If David Cook wins, he will have to produce a cheesy American Idol album that is sooo not his style. I mean, look at what happened to Bo Bice. However, look at what happened to Daughtery-he didn't win, and he was able to produce an awesome rock album without the restrictions of an American Idol contract.
....although we still you guys a lot, we just want more of Sinem. Remember the night that Jamie did his own and then later that night Sinem did hers (but under a video response to Jamies so not as likely to watch) BUT...even though it was posted later and not as easy to find Sinem still had just as many views (a few more). Jamie, you are good. Sinem, you are very good. Together though when in harmony you are better than either of you by yourself.
We really like your weekly reviews! BUT, we would like to offer a small suggestion.
Jamie, you have good thoughts but so does Sinem. When you started these video reviews the two of you worked together very very smoothly and part of the joy of watching was to see how smoothly you worked in harmony (like good music). But, tonight it seemed a little "out of tune". What we mean is that Jamie talks over Sinem and makes Sinem have to work hard to get out her thoughts. It was uncomfortable.

well i think the producers are the deciding factor for who goes home. they arent music producers just in it for the money. why are producers thought so highly on this show in paticular?

where it doesnt matter to me who
wins. they both are great.

I thought the judges were too harsh on Sayesha. This girl could walk on water and they would say she just did OK.
